Hi everyone :)

I sold almost all of my skills and fun items years ago to buy land.
I am now on a mission to get to and surpass my previous levels With the goal of hunting my own land.

A lot has changed since I was hunting so id really like people to tell me what im Doing wrong, Or if this is usual.
I flick over wiki checking gun stats but do tend to get abit bogged down with the sheer volume of options. With options ontop.


I have begun keeping a log which I will update here

Currently at
lvl 49 laser hit, 44 dmg
Lvl 38 blp hit - 33 dmg
Lvl 21 evade
Lvl 17 looter

I have swapped to blp recently to get higher DPS. Did the new armatrix amps change this?
I bought a beast to try paying closer to just TT which doesnt seem to have worked.

If laser is just the same il carry on as im not far from unlocking combat sense again.

This is not a whining thread but the 75% is why i had been mining a lot. Returns seem a lot more stable.

Can anyone give me any pointers to get this a bit higher? Im not looking for tt profit, just pointers how to improve based on my gear and lvls. I have done a ton of hunting in the past. Always ended up at zero :D (pre 2.0)

Im certain ive picked up bad habits and generally just shot willy nilly

Just a poor run on a small cycle, ofc you can make some improvements, seems you already made a few, such as avoiding the taxed spawn.

But beast amp isnt that great and paying markup on armatrix and only getting mid 60's in efficiency is not going to yield good results. Bery are an ok mob in terms of avg mu but there are better choices for your level. You say you switched to blp for more dps but given your combat levels youre nowhere near max dps for your lvl. so im not really sure why you switched unless its to skill to unlock more dps down the line.

Not really worth it imo, some ok ul options that dont break the bank around your level, id aim for 65+ efficiency if possible, should get you to at least 96% avg tt return depending on your looter levels, can workout close to even after mu with better mob selection at those numbers.

Not sure what UL gun you are suggesting that can match LP35/LR35 efficiency (using A106 or imp 105), even included markup. Please elaborate, because I am in the same spot as OP, and cannot find a better option at my level than armatrix guns (without breaking the bank).

Well it doesnt have to strictly match it, you need to do some math relative to the difference between effic of your armatrix gun and your ul options, work out roughly how much cycle you get from an armatrix, work out how much extra tt return you get from its effic than you do from UL during that cycle, see if its more than mu you pay etc etc and then you can find slightly lower effic combos give similar returns after mu spent/returned is factored. Esp if you have decent supporting setup (rings etc) to give you solid dpp/optimal loot comps and good mob choice.
 
Maybe hunt mobs that drop MU stuff?

For instance, Primordial longu drop output amps (225%), tier VII comp (250%), with quite a good drop rate on the amps.
Or robots for their weapon grips (140%).
Etc.

That MU does help a lot.

I have refined my weapons and armor some, which does seem to have effected the loot composition.

Added extender 15, back to lp-35 (laser)
Also 5b plates so not fapping so much

I had been grinding wee molisk all wekend. Not so terrible results

Next mission may be to acquire Viceroy

As it goes for getting high tt-returns, i'm afraid the only way be to deposit 10.000$ and do a 100.000 PED hunt...
 
yes,I need to get to a lvl where I can do that inside some sane hours lol

that and acquire 10k for the job


weekend has been updated. up to 87 % return now tt
 
updated with a the last few days :) hovering up near 90%
 
I have managed to loose that last 4-5 runs from my excel sheet, thought it had saved and it clearly hasnt ,Very anoying.

One included a wee 300 ish ped feffox :(

Nothing to update atm its all gone :(


Levels are coming along nicely, ive now finished atrox 10k and took evade, done feffox III took athletics.

Lvl 52 laser dmg- 30.5 evade

Update From the start, I have been very busy grinding away the missions

I am now lvl 34 evade and have also unlocked combat sense again

The Levels look like this now
Currently at
lvl 54 laser hit, 50 dmg
Lvl 34 evade
Lvl 28 looter


I have also swapped the (L) guns in for an adj ep41 + imp 105, I love this setup its chews up the grinder mobs



total spent is 46,135 since 2nd oct.

tt returned before MU is 42,638,

This works out to 92.42% return or -3500 ish peds.

fair bit of this was CP, I did Kreltin up to the 1k mission which did not go very well at all. 1600 mobs to get to stage 3 and 1400 peds lost. I am putting it down to mayhem and will return some day to finish up.


Nothing significant in the loot yet but a few nice globals to keep me happy.

Mobs I have aimed at are mostly low MU with decent mission rewards to fast track combat sense.

I am now targeting Ambu. have them at 12-13k of the 30k mission so might as well finish up on that. Adrenal oil seems to have nice MU at the moment so could work out ok.

Giving mayhem a miss, I cant carry much more shrapnel lol

another update. I have just finished ambu 30k
had 2 nice Hofs and a small ESI (13 peds), they always put a smile on your face

total TT now spent from 2nd Oct is 62,290.23

total returned TT is 58,622.9

Giving me a total return of 94.11 % not bad at all I dont think at my level

I am currently lvl 54 laser, 36 evade, 28 Looter

still using old trusty Adj ep41 +Imp 105 combo, really is excellent setup for low lvl grinding.

Not sure what the next target is yet, Marcimex are fun but i need a better healing tool to do them comfortably.

another random update.

Im on a proper loosing streak at the moment
I tried the marcimex cave on a 2500 peds hunt which ended down 400 peds

I Tried bery 60k just to get that gone, Im only up to 28k on 3 hunts and down 650 peds already, bit peed off so im leaving them for now.
That was one hunt royal rest on caly with no tax and still down.

went on to Leviathan see how they went. was only a small run of 900 peds but down 130 peds or 85%

I may travel to ark to see what missions there can go towards looter and evade skills.

has selling your loot gotten any better on ark ? thats the only thing that keeps me away

total spent since the ambu 30k is 9073 tt
tt return is 7919. Thats - 1153 peds or 87%

bring my total right down to 93.2 return

Fingers crossed for something to level it a bit, My deposit i had to start is dwindling
 
Marcimex (at least small ones) are awful with the kidney at 103% or smth. They're very demanding on evade and such and tt volatility can be insane. Is deffinitely not a mob for that dps and eco, not even the smallest ones. I love them, but stay away lol. You can hof shrapnel on easier mobs ^^ As for tt returns, I envy you :laugh: You should try to keep constant runs and cost to kill (maybe runs of say 3 amp repairs, with a portable repair), but more than that is praying, eating your veggies and be a nice kid imo, maybe it pays off ^^
