Let's discuss BLP Rifle Weapon plan from 0-100

Hello All.

So with all the latest changes over the years and overall lack of discussions on this forum outside of sales/whining/etc. I figured I'd start up a topic that might help some people purse the BLP rifle side of things instead of the mainstream Laser. I put my choices below.. what are your thoughts? Would you choose a different path? Perhaps we can suggest budget versus premium solutions for people of various budgets? Also how do you feel this BLP path compares to the more eco-friendly laser route?

Below I extracted all SIB BLP carbine/rifles from entropedia and I wanted to discuss what path would you take today and why?

My choices would be:
Level 0-10: Herman ARK-R or whatever UL/L options I can find using 100% skill pills
Level 10-20: Ar-matrix series
Level 20-30: Ar-matrix series
Level 30-40: A&P Series Mayhem BC-30 Modified (Unlikely due to price) or CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.II TEN Edition (Probably) or CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.I (likely)
Level 40-50: CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.II TEN Edition (Probably) or CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.I
Level 50-60: CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.II TEN Edition (Probably) or CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.I
Level 60-70: Omegaton ASG-12 Bucketful (Most Likely) or Meckel & Loch ML-35 Adjusted (Maybe depending on missions)
Level 70-80: Omegaton ASG-12 Bucketful (Most Likely) or Meckel & Loch ML-35 Adjusted (Maybe depending on missions)
Level 80-90: DOA Slugstorm (Most likely)
Level 90-100: DOA Slugstorm (Most likely) or Meckel & Loch ML-35 Modified
Level 100+: Meckel & Loch ML-35 Modified or Perfected Tegretov

PS: Why is DOA Loudmouth Adjusted such garbage eco? Bit sad IMO

I think the guns you use as you progress should, at least at some levels, be based on what is best for events. If you can grab one or two top 3 places on your way up then by the time you're 80+ you could get yourself a sweet mayhem rifle

yep im aware of these charts but theyre from 2015 and they dont really answer the question which was asked.. not to mention that many of these weapons in these charts are not really available anymore or tough to find

Sounds like a pretty solid route you have going there.
Not too much unlike my own plans

I would however argue that if you have spirit mkii TEN already, the switch to bucketful is not really necessary.

Bucket + imp evil is 71ish dps @ 2.942 dpp
Spirit mkii TEN + dante is 66ish dps @ 2.966

The range difference alone(30.8 vs 72.6) is enough to make up for the DPS difference on most mobs.

I'm using bucketful myself but if I had the choice between the two I'd prefer the mkii TEN

Are you looking for a path to be exclusively unlimited items? If so, then your choices are fair. But the obvious path is to just follow ArMatrix all the way once you reach level 15. Every 5 levels you max another all the way until level 110 using the BC-105.

Of course all that is predicated on decent prices for L items ... and supply

I have been playing for 4.5 years now, hunting only low lvl mobs. For some time I used the CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk.I. But they did not always exist, so I switched to the CalyTrek CR Soul MK.IV CDF Edition. So I hunt 90% of my mobs and as a finisher I use the Herman ARK-R. And I'm fine with that.

Well the whole point of this discussion is to see if people would stick to UL the whole way, L the whole way or blend the two depending on what level they're at. For me I don't see much sense buying UL at low levels because skills grow so quickly whereas high level I rather not pay a ton of MU to grind up levels

Good to see that some people would do L all the way

For me it's about being able to come up with the finances to acquire one of the UL weapons to suit my level. Currently at level 77 BLP sniper and 72 BLP damage and would love to buy a ML-35 Adj but being able to justify putting that much money into the game at one time for the purchase is near impossible. So until I get to that point where I can I will stick to the ArMatrix L guns for now.

once you mastered it, the Adjusted ML-35 is unequalled all the way up to L100, because it is the only weapon which combines

• SIB early maxed at L68
• good 2,889 damage per pec
• high 8750 uses
• good 58,1% Efficiency
• fair damage per second of 59,4 (MA)
• very good rifle reload of 44 attacks per min
• excellent range of 140m
• VERY low tiering costs (total of ~12k for T1-10)
• excellent UL Amplifier combination with Dante, adj. Evil and imp. Evil

there are lots of weapons with one or two stats being better than the adj. ML.
but then the alternative always lacks in several other aspects compared to the adj. ML.
there are reasons why so many BLP hunters above a certain level have this gun.
it is the only weapon uniting all important aspects in one gun.

Getting (L) or UL at any particular level also depends on availability as well as cost. For me at 41 hit and 36 dmg, it'd be the CalyTrek CR Spirit Mk I but I think that getting hold of the UL gun would be very difficult not to say expensive so I'd have to go for the (L) gun or the Armatrix equivalent at this level. Having said that, I do prefer UL if its at all possible.

I´m sorry but the qualities i have selected, how are those actually "good"? There are several better options.
The ONLY thing this gun has going for it is the range, and while the range is important the other "negative aspects" above actually make it way worse.

a 58.1 efficiency isn´t good, actually it´s borderline bad. I´ll put it down as passable...
a 44 attacks/min is terrible it´s great for a tagger, but not that great as main weapon. This means that the benefic of the amp is lower. If there was a bigger good eco amp this would be a good thing, but.. .
2.889 dpp was sub par in loot 1.x even more so now

I'm with you on this one. Adjusted ml35 is more of a tagger in my eyes or a togolossi/caperon/prot/bot Hunter where you can kite and kill without getting hit. I haven't used one though but needless to say after seeing the stats on adj ml35 and adj DOA LM I'm left a bit unhappy with what I see

I´m gonna reply to the answer mid way through this discussion about the L/UL route i would take.

If i had the money, I´d go ARmatrix until the point of maxing the spirit mkII TEN then use that until I got to 85 where i´d buy the slugstorm to level to 100.

If i had less available funds i would use armatrix til 55 and then use the bucketful til i got to 85.

If your budget doesn't allow for 20K - 30K+ ped, and some in the 50K - 70K+ range for UL weapon, why not just use the armatrix series up tp lvl 100? assuming you can get any particular item for around 120% - 130% mu, or less

Quite simply because I had a hard time getting anything above Bc-45 for anywhere near that mu.

I'm fairly certain that the money I spent on my bucketful has paid itself off at this point, instead of paying 160% for bc-50+ ,

Over Complicated as hell,

TT rifle
LITERALLY ANYTHING
Spirit MK.I UL (damage enhancers will push it up further)

(good luck finding anything before 80 for reasonable price)

as for price, guns are alot lower in value, a Spirit mk.I will be 4500ish for a tier 0 (adjsut price accordingly for tier cost) Spirit + dante with 3 damage will get you 50ish DPS.

There IS NO upgrade past that I (meaning my opinion) believe is worth it up to level 80.

Deleted my post. I noticed today that there were BC-55's on sale so it invalidates the point I made.
