Is virtual world gone & only Hunting the new direction for EU?

Is MindArk removing their virtual world slowly and replacing with more hunting solo-instance and mission-based as the new design and direction for Entropia Universe?

We are definitely not abandoning the open, seamless, virtual world concept. As a means to be able to create more interesting content and for load-balancing purposes, we do make use of sharding and instance technology where appropriate.

Is your database sharding and instance technology going to be geared to more of the hand-held/ mobile devices for players to use? ( Including the new camera system to be implemented for that future application?)

Good question - I'm also curious if this would mean expanding on the Virtual Tycoon app.
