Question: Rental/loan system

Any plans to implement a system for renting/loaning equipment to other players with a mechanism for the owner to take back their equipment when the rental/loan period expires?

The potential benefits:

* Safely loan equipment to in-game friends
* Opportunity to "try before you buy" from equipment from another player
* New business opportunity for rental income

I was told by someone from MA, many years ago, this would never happen.
Would have to go digging through over a thousand posts to find it though.

You are correct, I just made a mistake when copying magnus's answer from our internal AMA document to the forum. Sorry for the confusion.

To be honest I am happy to hear that you dont consider a loaning system, as I fear it would lead to a monopolisation of high end items by the big fish with insane amounts of money.
Speak only way to get some decent gear would be renting it from the monopolists who then can dictate the rental prices.

So please, no rental system!
