As a mid-level hunter, we are often advised by some community members that we need to have a bankroll north of 10,000 ped bankroll, hunt below 1500 HP mob and go for mark up in order to survive or be successful.

The definition of bankroll, if I understand it correctly, is the amount of ped on our ped card, not the amount of ped cycled.

I believe not many mid-level players have so much ped on their ped card or are willing to spend US$1000s to play a game only to get an average of 95% back.

What is MindArk's view on this?

MindArk does not hold or promote any specific view on the concepts you discuss.

Such questions relate more to a particular 'meta' approach to Entropia Universe, which is something for participants to work out for and discuss among themselves.

Our suggestion would be to make use of the many valuable community resources where such topics have been discussed extensively.

I'm quite impressed Dennis replied without referring to the word 'bankroll' once....clever.

Although he did refer us to some "common truths" (meta approach).

In other words; Throw enough money at it, and you will get a quality hof eventually, that's also linked to every avatars experience is "unique" answer. Time and money are two different things....love it.

I'm surprised an effort was even made to answer this one as it's borderline on the "talking about loot" restricted topic.

Makes sense MA wouldn't comment too much on this as it would be like going into a casino and asking the pit boss "yes, I've heard people say I can beat blackjack by having a good bank roll, a good betting strategy and counting cards. What's your view on this and can you give me the specifics of how this can be done so I can increase my edge over the house and walk away a winner? thanks."

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for your time to review and answer my question.

It's good to know that MA does not promote "meta" approach such as bankroll, which requires mid-level hunters to have a bankroll of US$1000s and above to hunt for creatures below 1500 HP.

I sincerely hope that the cost to play this game is not as prohibitive as what is suggested in the bankroll approach for the mid-level hunters to progress. Hopefully most gamer here can enjoy this game at a cost similar to other MMORPG games rather than leaving the game in frustration.

I wish you and your team a Happy and great year ahead!

Cheers!

In fact, the level of a player is not the level of his avatar, but the level of his pocket!. If you instead of killing mobs of 5 peds, kill mobs of 0.5 peds you only need to have 100 dollars to achieve the same result.

In regards to the OP the amount of peds on your ped card has nothing to do with your ability to hunt.

You could have far less, trade more often, and do plenty fine.

You could have a fraction of this, and hunt only with your trade profits. Then that would not apply.

I'm impressed with Mindark on this one for appropriately answering this one. Well done! Bankroll shouldn't have any place in the company's discussion, as there are far too many meta ways of dealing with the simple issue of 'have enough peds to cycle to even out the good/bad times, otherwise slow down to match your budget'.

One thing that would be nice, however, is for the continued improvement of our economy so that we can all collectively afford to pay the company more money as a collective, and less individually. It is improving bottom up at least.
