Question: Land Area event system

Why is it that the owner of a land area have to pay for making an event on his own land area?

It makes sense that other players have to pay a renting price for occupying the area, for the time they wish to have an event. But yet the owner of the area don’t even receive the income from the “Event Creation Cost” or the “Event Area Rent”.

So can you please clarify why the system is set up like this?

The event creation fee in the public event system was originally implemented in order to prevent spam and abuse. It is also important to note that fees generated by the public event system are returned to participants in loot; they are not taken by MindArk.

We have several ideas for improvements to the public event system as well as for Land Areas. However, we are not ready to share specific details on those plans at the moment.

Event Area Rent is returned to the LA owner in form of taxes.
