Easter Mayhem 2019

A mining event? See - they do listen!

Good luck! :tower:

usually they were making an announcement on website and Bertha was automatically pulling the news but they didn't this time, the ring is on the strongboxes page tho

Ahh, thanks, mate. I didn't think to check the strongbox page.

("You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Evey again.")

Just to clarify, the Robot Data Fragments are looted exclusively in the Mayhem Defense instance as a reward for surviving stages and are intended to be traded in to RDI Representatives in order to get the Mining Event missions.

This is intended to create cooperation between different kinds of players.

Well what you intended isn't a good idea. How about you put the best UL hunting gear in claims and the miners can go mine and sell that to hunters. Sounds bad doesn't it!!! That isn't rewarding for anyone.

Also the miners want a mining event to compete in. The hunters want to hunt. How about we start creating awesome events to increase participation instead of "Gate" everything and not have people play!!

Not trying to sound negative but we need the Event department to be better than they are. These events aren't creative or going to bring in the participation you could have if events were implemented better, with much cleaner ideas to involve everyone.

No, they do cut/stab/elec. This was tested using single damage plates.

I've confirmed that elec is 33% (max dam 12 on gen01 when cut/stab was overprotected, gen01 do 36 dam max) and stab is no more than 50% but probably less. I'm reasonably confident in saying it's a 33/33/33 split.

Not doubting your testing, but before 9/2016 it was posted on Calypso Forum and Entropedia as 70 Cut / 25 stab. After further testing from Aio Dakina, it was determined actual damage was 50/50 Elec/Stab. This was agreed and confirmed by Oleg 9/2016, who changed the info in the forum - Creature thread. Later that year, 12/2016 Eleria Orion Starwind changed the damage on Entropedia to reflect 50/50 split. Both sources still reflect that 50/50 damage types today. I seem to recall additional tests being done more recently, probably by you Slither, can't locate it so can't confirm it was actually on Eviscerator.

Many ppl use both of those resources to figure out how to protect against certain mob damage and both have the same info for Evisc. If there's compelling evidence to change the dmg types posted for Evisc., can it be posted in the Creature Thread in our forum so Oleg and others can review it and make changes if necessary. It would be a big help to all of us who can't do, or don't have several different plates and armors or even know how to test creature dmg types ourselves. Your efforts to conduct the testing and share the results with our community are greatly appreciated by many, including me. Ty

These are not normal eviceraters.

So, now that people have started to hunt, can we know the exact damages of these boys for the Mayen ?

Wiki has nothing on Mayem eviscerators.

Any info would be welcome!

Question two : Mayem is limited to planet calypso ?

People have already started to add info. These are Annihilation Eviscerator not mayhem Eviscerator, maybe you're looking in the wrong place:

You can enter from any planet, go to global instances in the event section.

I am in cat 10, I have no other choice.

*Unless you consider over 25k in esi just to chip down an option. (did that once already, there are not enough on auction anyhow)

I, and many others cannot win in this Cat and you know it based on the design. Which also consists of your higher end cycler's. Why on earth would you want to shut out so many people out with this structure?

I wont be competing this year, I wont even bother with defense, but I will farm boxes and hope the Swedish effect hasn't taken a toll on that markup. I would have rather mined, but even that dangled fruit got snatched. So I am a box farming, gear renting part time crafter now I guess. (btw thanks for looking out for our investments with even more BPS...ever consider upgrading existing ones?)

I've put something in for mayhem just about every time for 6 years now. You have given me too many reasons not to this time.

While I appreciate you saving me money, I really fail to understand how this helps your company.

I mostly am stating this so you can see this end of it, and how low the motivation is for this structure at this cat, especially considering the sheer amount of exploits that were caught last year....and not seemingly punished.

I've enjoyed mayhem's a lot, but without a real chance to win and fair spread of skill/gear, its futile for most to even try, which is a shame, they had been great competition in the past, and ave people real motivations for buying setups.

I hope solutions come, but until then, I wait for a mayhem that has a real competitive feel to it again.

Haven't had a chance to log in and check ... but how are they not normal? Different damage type?

These are Annihilation Eviscerator not Eviscerator, and the dam type is different. Same as mayhem kerberos are not the same as kerberos.

Mayhem Defense exclusively ?

[Globals]: Janis janku Gaisonok is the first colonist to discover Robot Data Fragment. Item discovered in Practice Annihilation 10! A record has been added to the Hall of Fame!

Mayhem Defense exclusively ?

Yes there is some correction to be made here.

They are Easter Mayhem exclusive but the Defense will also reward you for each stage you complete. The reward will increase the higher stage you are able to complete.

Thank you for the update :)

Seems some hunters are already looting it in normal loot

Wonder how the drop rate is, apparently needs 1000 fragments to get 1 strongbox "mission" (which you then have to complete by mining).
And what kind of a price are we looking to buy 1000 of these from hunters

You need 1000 of those to turn in to RDI NPC that will give you a mission that will give you a Robot Cache Strongbox with the first claim over 6 PED you get in mining.

I think you also forgot to remove the loot from the test server? The robots in cat 10 (and probably all) drop level 6-8 weapons. These are worse than shrapnel, imo :)

virtually impossible if you ask me

I feel exactly the same way. I can't do the Mayhem as I have to many skills to do a Category that I would enjoy. So another Event that won't be getting any PED from me. The event structure as it is really isn't competitive at all. The structure means some Cats have next to no participation and people just chip out for free gear in the lower participation Cats. It's bad all around. It isn't the slightest bit competitive. It's just bad design.

It's really a shame they eliminate so many players with this structure and punish people that love skilling and enjoy playing the game the most. It would be sooooo easy to just allow any Cat to be competed in and just scale down the Avatars HP and then have the Dps cap. No one has to chip out and then it is actually competitive and there is participation in every Cat. Also people then can actually do the event.

The mining failure for this event is just that. A failure on MA's part to introduce something to get the players excited to play. MA needs to hire some people that actually understand what gamers want apparently because you continually are missing the boat on how to increase participation and competition in the game.

I'm unsure whether or not this is intentional, however, I have forwarded this feedback to balance, thanks.

On a serious note (for next time), imho the hp of the higher category evis is silly for intended max dps shooting (also when compared to other seasonal events)

Ive been around since 2002/2003. Im still waiting for a worthy miningevent in 2019.....
MA just doesnt have it in them to cater us with this.

Well well...back to the lonely life on fields :cool:

so how do i do this "mining" event as a swedish player? i cant buy keys?????

Yeah this is really awful, lets have an event where Swedish players cannot participate fully. I guess only alternatives for us is to sell the fragment or boxes?

*shakes head*... what a wonderfully promising progression to now have to get 1000 frags to get a mining mission to do which will get us a box (is that guaranteed whenever the hit is over 6 peds?) that still then requires a deposit to get a bunch of keys that might then give us a nice loot inside apart from survey probe crap. Have I understood the process?

I guess my only curiosity is just how badly 'balanced' this is. Can somebody maybe give a spoiler of how the fragment rewards progress through the phases and levels to start people off? Or simply the number of frags from surviving 10 mins, 20 mins, whatever? It's just that I'd like to see the sort of 'not worth it' mu without even taking part.

The picture in my mind is of a pyramid of slot machines. You must first run through the lowest level before being allowed to move to the next row. Heck, not even a casino has that sort of thing as far as I know....
(ok, I guess the boxes can be sold on at whatever mu to those who want to access the top of the pyramid right away).

I'm almost wishing I was Swedish :eyecrazy:

From what I see it looks like you have to pay 30-100 ped to hunters/traders for the fragments unless you hunt(remember this is a mining event). Ok now you have to turn that in for a mining mission to then get a claim of 6 ped for a robot strongbox. Then you have to deposit $1 to buy a key and then any other hoops and obstacles and long drawn out processes to.... loot survey probes. Did I get that right? Who thought this was the best method for a mining event? Strangest thing and event I've heard of since I've been playing.

Output amplifier component missing from loot table.
I want to believe this move is unintended.
Please check.

List of Vendor Items

Is there any place I can go to have a look at what sort of items these events can actually earn me without having to walk up to a vendor in-game?
