The Calypso Defence Force (CDF) once again needs your help against the robot enemy!

The last few weeks have seen intense fighting between Robot forces and colonist volunteers at numerous locations on Eudoria, Planet Calypso.

The fighting, part of a Tactical Strike against the robots, has allowed the Research and Development Institute (RDI) to secure a hackable base matrix node. In order to retrieve information from the node essentially all that needs to be done is to place an RDI Data Interceptor above it and let the machine extract the information.

The robots have already attacked and destroyed several Data Interceptors in the field.

The CDF needs your help to protect the Data Interceptor installation!

The Data Interceptor needs to stay intact for as long as possible. The robots are throwing wave after wave of Evicerators, Spider Bombers, Defenders, Warlocks and Warriors against each Data Interceptor. Needless to say, these assaults must be repelled!

The RDI cannot stress the importance of this mission enough and will teleport any colonist volunteer from anywhere in Entropia Universe to the Data Interceptor’s location. Select your appropriate category under the Global tab in the Events interface to participate.

As an extra bonus, the RDI reports that new Robot Data Fragments have been salvaged by the Data Interceptor and can be found in robot loot. The RDI deem these Data Fragments as crucial to their ongoing research and are willing to trade them for previously classified Mining Missions. These Mining Missions offer a chance to uncover hidden Robot Cache Strongboxes. The Robot Cache Strongboxes in turn are known to contain schematics for valuable high-end mining tools, among other items.

Event Prizes
Prizes in Easter Mayhem are awarded in the form of Mayhem Tokens, which can also be looted from event creatures in this and other Mayhem-style events. Mayhem Tokens can be exchanged for exclusive items via the Mayhem Token Trader, located in Cape Corinth, Port Atlantis and Twin Peaks on Planet Calypso.

Mayhem Tokens can be accumulated over the course of several events to purchase more expensive items, allowing participants to make incremental progress toward their desired rewards.

Mayhem Tokens are non-tradeable, but the items available for purchase in the Mayhem Token Vendor are tradable. Note that certain Mayhem Token Vendor items may also require special Placement Mayhem Tokens, awarded as event prizes, in order to be purchased.

Mayhem Defense Gameplay
  • Defend the Data Interceptor from increasingly powerful robot attackers. A round consists of 10 waves, with a short pause between rounds with access to temporary Trade and Repair Terminals.
  • Defense times are automatically recorded and displayed on the event leaderboard.
  • One Easter Strongbox is awarded for every completed round (10 waves).
  • Mayhem Tokens and Robot Data Fragments are awarded after every round, the rewards are increased for every consecutive round finished. After every completed 5th wave a Mayhem Token is awarded as well.
  • The top ten highest scorers (longest defense time) in each category win prizes.

Mayhem Annihilation Gameplay
  • Interact with the Data Interceptor inside the Annihilation event instance to begin spawning creatures and start the mission timer; the timer pauses automatically when leaving the instance.
  • Eliminate Mayhem Robots to accumulate as many points as possible in 10 hours.
  • A random number of points (0, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, or 5000) is automatically awarded after defeating one of the event instance creatures.
  • Once your 10-hour run is complete, your score is finalized and recorded on the event leaderboard. You can then start a new run to try to improve upon your previously-recorded rank. The score from a subsequent run is only recorded if it would result in a higher leaderboard rank.
  • You can only have a recorded score in a single category at a time. Recording a new score with a higher leaderboard rank (regardless of category) will replace any previously-recorded score.
  • The top ten highest scorers (most accumulated points) in each category win prizes.

Planet Calypso – RDI Mining Event
The Research and Development Institute (RDI) is a scientific branch of the Federal Empire. The RDI’s mission is to help defeat the Robots by analyzing Robot technology and using their own tech against them. Colonists can now assist the RDI in its research by handing in Robot Data Fragments.

Once you have handed in a sufficient amount of Robot Data Fragments to an RDI representative they will assist in finding a Robot Cache Strongbox. This mission can be done repeatedly. The caches can contain rare encoded schematics which the RDI can use to build high-end tools.

  • Encoded CR-A Schematic - Chikara Refiner, Adjusted
  • Encoded CR-M Schematic - Chikara Refiner, Modified
  • Encoded GSE-A Schematic - Genesis Star Excavator, Adjusted
  • Encoded GSE-I Schematic - Genesis Star Excavator, Improved
  • Encoded GSE-M Schematic - Genesis Star Excavator, Modified
  • Encoded L1-FA Schematic - Level 1 Finder Amplifier
  • Encoded L2-FA Schematic - Level 2 Finder Amplifier

RDI Representatives can be found in Port Atlantis, Twin Peaks, Fort Ithaca and Minopolis.

Will we need a key to open those mining reward strongboxes? Hopefully not

Wow, this looks awesome!

I hope noob miners have a chance too cause there's no Categories for the mining event...

So hunting in order to do mining missions?

How about we just drop probes for the Robot Data Fragments and make it a actual mining event and skip the hunting? Seem like the hunters get the mining missions while the miners wait for the hunters to sell them the mining gear.

Just some thoughts have something for everyone.

Can anyone confirm if these Robot Data Fragments are dropping already during the practice portion of the event?

A mining event where you have to hunt or buy the prizes from the hunters :p

makes sense.

Dont MA relize that they could actually get more ppl to do events if they had two professions to compete instead of just 1?

Let the miners win their own mining prizes by mining it then having to buy it from hunters that can be force to sell it for overprize cuz these events is 9 out of 10 loses cuz of no MU......

Ohhh well..... maybe shouldnt call it a mining event but a bonus event with mining prizes

Pretty much this. Just sad MA could of implemented something nice for miners. Just let them mine!!

Imagine if they put brand new awesome efficient hunting gear in the ground and only miners could get it!! It makes no sense.

"mining"-event

I do hope the text is just not written clearly accidentally suggesting the fragments will be dropped in hunting loot (i.e. robot loot) instead of the fragments being found while mining. Otherwise, it’s not a mining event, just hunting. I know I was planning to deposit if it was a mining event, but I wouldn’t ever do that for hunting.

Wait so fragments aren't found while mining? Can't they just make it like FEN tokens where you get it in loot so you just get fragments with your mining claim. How is it a mining event then if you get fragments hunting? That would be very disappointing.

I hope you are right a lot of people were excited by the idea of having a Mining event but now we wait to see if we do actually get one. I can't imagine they intended it like this. It has to be a mistake or....... you know...

Well then it should be a mining event where u can loot oil/lyst only :)

Like the shrapnel only loot inside the instances.

No hedoc's anymore, but seriously, It be hard to balance, and i mine alot.

How to compensate for different materials on regular mining, it have to be a instance where whats found is offset.

arent the Evis stab electric?

So if I'm reading that mining thing right, you hunt robots for fragments, turn the fragments in with a mining strong box and receive a special event strongbox that you can open to get the encoded schematic that you can then trade for the equivalent item?

Are you serious? Can you do a bit more of a rube goldberg device please?

yes they are 50/50 split

No, they do cut/stab/elec. This was tested using single damage plates.

I've confirmed that elec is 33% (max dam 12 on gen01 when cut/stab was overprotected, gen01 do 36 dam max) and stab is no more than 50% but probably less. I'm reasonably confident in saying it's a 33/33/33 split.
