Can You Name a Country

Leave it to the kid to show up all the adults!

That’s terrifying! Surely that can’t be representative of the general US population, or is it?!?:eyecrazy:

Continents, countries, capital cities and their flags were basics surely.

Is it down to very different educational systems? tbf - I couldn't name all the states in the US, just like I couldn't name all the states and union territories of India.

I don't find it surprising. I'm afraid that is probably representative of general population. Remember they call world series baseball or football as encompassing USA only ;)

I've spent some time in the USA and my impression is that its very parochial for a country that has a huge overseas military commitment. So I'm not at all surprised at this.

Keep in mind that these things are productions. I'm an American adult and would have named dozens of countries, but I'm guessing they wouldn't have included me in this. Doesn't fit the video they were trying to make.

If you want to be even more surprised look up common core math... which they’re currently teaching in new York public schools... :scratch2:

The best way to subjugate a country's population, is to erase their culture, history and intelligence.

So just send your kids to a public school or public college. That way, they'll fit in with the rest of the idiots.

This video straight up showed how kids knew geography and the adults didnt.

Something tells me you'd fit in with these people perfectly. :dunce:

I've hidden a message in my post by the way, can you find it?
I'll give you a clue since I'm pretty sure you wouldnt get it without a hint, read the bold.

You understand they didn't show the adults like me who could name all the countries?

They cherry pick to get the results they want.

It's called editing.

Surely you're not this gullible?

Woow really     ?! Not sure how that has anything to do with what I said. He commented on kids being a failure as a response to this video. Sure its most likely cherry picked. But given the information shown on the video he came to the conclusion regarding kids.

Wow you really know all the countries? ALL of them?! AND can point them out on a map?

Hey everyone!! This guy knows ALL the countries! This guy is REALLY smart and he made sure we all know it right away so surely it must be very important that we understand just how smart he is!

Adults like you huh. All the countries? Ofcourse you do.
You must be so bright :yup:

Surely a genius like yourself can see how dumb that is? Someone with perfect geographical recall like you must be extraordinary :O Jumping out like a <Read the conclusion of my previous hidden message> pounding your chest and coming up with some random strawman. :scratch2::scratch2:

I would destroy that world map.. I also fucking love history and archaeology/paleontology. This does make me a bit sad.

I prefer the old maps with Gaul etc...

Why So Complicated... :)

While they put a montage of the least smart individuals; I must say the average American is less worldly and educated than an European. And I am speaking about people living in big cities.

90% of the times I meet a smart/interesting or worldly person it is someone who wasn't born in the US. Even my wife as an American agrees with this.
(funny fact, most of that 10% smart Americans either have an engineering degree or come from an intellectual cultural background like Jewish or Old money).

they can't have smart people roaming around freely. it's obvious their control system is very fragile because they spend so much making stupid the status quo. i wish people could see the truth, but apparently even that is anti semitic. if jesus were alive today he would forsake us for sure. terribilis est locus iste.

Well, the TV folks might well be the biggest fools here.

The map they're using is missing Caspian Sea.

The Caspian sea does not exist anymore - it dried up :)

ooops my bad, that's the Aral sea not the Caspian that dried up. Not had my coffee yet...

It is called general knowledge. The specialist knowledge of a geographer contains much more than place names. And if you know more places in Entropia than in the real world, the issue is not your learning capacity either. Just as with those people exposed above, they're not too dumb to learn all these things but too dumb to develop an interest for the things that matter.

They should do this with Presidents and Prime minister's in UN building! That would be "interesting" at least ;)
Asking random people in a random street doesn't mean anything! is just BS!

I like this map... Scotland and England are differentiated  ;)

That map was made in the good old days when the main entertainment for the Scots and English was kicking the crap out of each other on a regular basis :)
