Summer Boxes, is it even worth to open anymore?

I have been thinking about this for quite some time now. Ppl are stil opening all these boxes, MA is not really changing the loot and most items are just loosing value? Prices for rings are going down, mayhem amps are bearly worth anything anymore.

So my question is, why do you open boxes when clearly there is no more MU to pay you back if you dont get a season ring or very rare ring?

If there was a change of items in boxes that would keep MU at a decent lvl I would undestand, but to have the same items drop over and over again, 4 seasons every year does not make sense, change the loot and make it more interesting for ppl to grind and then open all these boxes? Weapons, armor, heck even furniture or something.

Where is this word again, ah yes Dynamic?

I agree. MA could decide to have boxes not drop anymore in any event, and I'm confident there would still be a solid supply of them on the auction for at least a year. There are hundreds of thousands of unopened boxes as a conservative guess. And, as you said, there isn't enough demand to keep up with the items dropping in boxes.

I understand why it works the way it does currently, but I think they need to add other incentives rather than making everything centered around boxes. Or maybe change what's in them somewhat, as you suggested.
 
They need to stop being so darn greedy, and just allow u to hunt or buy the keys for lootable strongboxes either in TT or from loot.

Normal strongboxes from webshop can remain as is. And only the key from strongbox works on webshop strongkey.

when ppl dont understand the MU-bubbles we players give them :p

take a guess ... items that keep dropping and new addet items do what to the old MUs :wise::lolup::silly2::tongue2:

why not make everything only acquireable from hunting? then crafters are no longer needed at all.

From the looks of EL, crafting and mining is basically obsolete.
 
I also think that we should loot some keys from creatures/claims Or let crafters make keys, by using rare resources. There are many rare mining resources with no MU, they could use for this. Not to say the normal resources have most near 0 MU too.

Also i think it would be a good idea, to have other stuff in boxes too. Some cloths and or furniture, why not?

It realy give a greedy feeling of loot to the players. Greedy is a bad feeling, it let ppl stop to play and or deposite. I can't understand, why MA don't understand this! Theyr greedy politic will destroy that game once.

I know MA need to make money, but im sure there are ways to do it less greedy.

Pretty much.

I have a better idea though. Just remove loot boxes. They have run their coarse and you can't even buy keys for them in some parts of the world because it is gambling. Lets remove the gambling from this game and actually make it a real economy where professions mean something.
 
There are many rare mining resources with no MU, they could use for this. Not to say the normal resources have most near 0 MU too.

before loot 2.0 it was worthwhile grinding rare BPs which use the rare materials. Expect to pay 600-800 PED for 1000-1500 PED BP, but that has changed, now expect to pay over 2000 PED (80% TT-return) for a 800-1300 PED BP... no surprise if the BP grinders have stoped to grind rare BPs.

Crafting, even when going for high MU stuff, is just pure gambling now.
 
Just get creative like put 10 boxes and 1 key into the refiner to get a adjusted box repeat for improved, modified, augmented , perfected and rack up the prices in those boxes. Make keys available for 150% for peds and you got your decreasing player liablitly tool and box demand will raise again.
 
I bought 100 boxes from the store.
I think they are worth the price.
I got lots of acustims and close to 8mill in ammo.
I'm looking for a Chinese Resturaunt to sell the kittys and the rovers.

I may not use the pills right now but I'm sure I will when I need them.
I got close to 20 boxes doing the Mayhem events and the Easter eggs are the bomb.
It's the same thing.
People trying to sell boxes are not gonna sell them.
Why would I pay for a box and have to pay for a key when I can buy them both for 1$

It cost $1 to open it and you get 1$ worth of stuff.
No play no pay. Just give them away.
Like I said some of these buff pills are awsome and you can TT them or sell them.
I don't see any rip off here.

it's just a guess, but maybe because you can actually loot seasonal rings worth thousands of dollars. i made 30k ped last christmas, that wasn't too shabby as you can imagine! :tongue2:
 
The odds of an event ring are roughly one in 35k boxes opened from my experi nice/ data I’ve received. Depending on the rings stats they can be worth more or less. You can almost tell when they want boxes opened based on the rings stats for that event.

The boxes do contain clothes sometimes. Halloween boxes drop skeleton themed clothing items. Not the best or most valuable of finds but kind of interesting I guess.

The biggest reason things are how they are is it’s an alternate method of deposit. When using a credit card or deposit method there is a fee to make the deposit. Instead you can load up on 5k keys, open boxes and hope for some valuable rings while loading up on ammo and pills.

The pills are rather valuable depending on how you play. It’s one of the only ways to consistently get skill pills.

The reload pills and various stims all have their purposes.

Even the slightly better auto loot pills and account bound pills can come in handy during competitions.

Yes it would be awesome to see some better variety but at the end of the day what everyone looks at is value.

If ma provides value above $1 per box they lose money which we know won’t happen even though that’s what we want. So as with most things in Eu the question becomes how to we make this profitable/ where’s the value I don’t see.

And since it was mentioned: crafting and mining are still VERY profitable: may want to reconsider how you’re doing it.

It actually appears to be a remarkably high drop rate compared with other seasonal rings.

Evidence: Swedish players not being able to open boxes has reduced the number of boxes opened significantly. This has led to a glut of strongboxes on the market, evidenced by remarkably low strongbox prices, low turnover, and long sales times.

Speculation: Less boxes are being opened yet many rings are still dropping.

Conclusion: Summer 19 rings have a high drop rate compared with most previous seasonal rings. Reminds me of Christmas 2016.
 
Have to agree with captain on this but also notice that the ring isn’t a super impressive competition winning ring. In fact the stats didn’t impress me much at all to be honest. This could be part of the reason for incr asked drop rate. Compensating for having to issue Christmas 17 2 years in a row while trying to encourage key purchases.

Remember Halloween was overpowered also
 
So increased boxes are dropping yet less people are opening? :scratch:
 
cheap boxes means the return on opening boxes are better. so it makes sense there are more boxes being opened and thus, more ring drops.
