Observations from a returning "Project Entropia" era player

k but -18% on combibos.

So you went out killed 20 comcibos and expect profit? Go kill 1 000 000 and come back with a number...

This game is what you make of it. If you want it to be a casino, it will be. Just like in real life, you have to find your way... no one will give you anything. We all want the money you bring to the table... especially Messi :wtg:

You need to do better at incentiveising players congregate in different areas of the game. So many places are barren now, never a player around. This wasn't the case when I used to play, even the most backwoods tp would have a few people standing around. Now it's just a few hubs per planet and it ruins the immersion.
:wise: This seems a relatively productive improvement. And my own suggestion as to how to achieve it is: Place enough TP's to make each major spawn accessible without the BS of flying over some unrelated spawn, and place spawns that matter (ie for missions that require them) closer to the nearest TP (some of us would rather spend what little playtime we have racking up kills instead of combing all the terrain for the spawn).
Kudos on the mission chains introduced in recent years, they do guide new players out into the map instead of just encouraging them to stay in the first areas they see. Keep up that good work.

The spawnrates are ridiculous and they shouldn't be able to spawn within a certain distance of a player. I've had 2 mobs spawn right on top of me while i'm dealing with another one and it's just BS tbh.

ROFLMAO!!

Long not seen, guys.
So, when MA took away the rainbow HOFs (after screwing around a bit with drop rates e.g. snable imp m2870), that was when I've snapped.
There just no reason to play 'till your eyes bleed.
That, along with more lag tool switching after UI and then even more lag after attempts to do something about Physx engine which destroyed benefits of naked (loaned) mod fap+imp mk2 hunting. Really, MA. Back in 2004 I played on shared 256kbps link and it was fine, now its wreak with 100mbps link AND WAY FASTER SERVER HW.
Also, day-night change is shit, randomly generated hilly-ditchy-bushy landscapes are shit.

o gawd...if there's ONE thing i hate about our 'civilization' it's advertising. why don't you wrap yourself in said advertising and mail yourself to the moon?

Before Cryengine there was in-game advertising on the signs in game from some external sponsors (ie, Pepsi) and there was a box in options that says 'disable advertisements' with a disclaimer thatwas something like 'checking this box may affect your loot returns'. To check the box, or not to check the box?

:lolup:Project Entropia was a different game.

No, Project Entropia was not a game, it was an experience! An adventure! A social place.

Entropia universe just became a lame grind fest.

Sometimes I wish for someone to hold that flag, go full out, steal cry engine sdk, develop specialized blockchain and darknet to run distributed network of PE servers without moderators, GMs and all the shit that ruins fun. And drew a stake into MA's heart.
But that not gonna happen I think.

Nah, it won't work.
You can't go back anymore.
It's not so much the game, the looks or the engine, it's more the mindset of the players which has changed the most.
You could maybe change back the Universe to the project again, but you won't change the people anymore.

If the Project were re-released as it was before vu10, I would totally play both it and this. Even just having that old map back again would be worth it.

sure, you would try. And would soon be very bored.
It would be nice to visit to revive some memories but that would be about it.

I for sure wouldn't want to trade in the Universe for the project. You won't get the old times back by just doing that.
It's like any experience, the first time it's always the greatest, the most adventures as it is new.
Going back won't make it new again. It would become one big disillusion.
