A poll for noobs. How much would you accept to pay for a noob starting kit ?(full armor+fap5+axe, or fullarmor+fap5+gun+ammo, for example...). I will try with the results to make the best equipment kit i can get for this price with TT+(minimum or 0).

I not like newbie kits.

Since i beleve that a good Armor & Weapon can help you better in critical situations.

I sugest a full Vigilante Armor, FAP5 (regular heal), / FAP50 (Combat healing), MK2 Justifier, Axe 1x0.

Ok, it is a bit expensive you wil think, but if you realy like a good start you should invest it ;)

My opinion is better direct go in action instead be bored while playing ritchmans slave. :wise:

Ok. If you like to stay in town for a couple of days in order to try get rid of you tiny ammount of materials / Sweat, Buy a Pixie & Axe 1.

TIP: If you like to go out with Axe, take @ least 3-10 of it. Than you can stay longer in action. ;)

EDIT:

I would put about 1k PEDs for a Starterkit. (If you like to get realy in PE Action)

Well, i think you might have to pay like 50 ped for full pixie and a couple of axeses. But deposit 10$ and you got yourself a nice kit :)

I was thinking of a non depositer starter kit.
And i think even for depositers a starter kit would be great, since you don't know how to trade, do auctions,... when you start. Unless their mentors show them...

How you mean?

If he put so less, he wil be a baggaring sweater i gues.

Ok, an other one who balast the Atlas & Atlantis server with his "SELL:50 Animalhide / 20 Sweat / 1 Orage paint" Offer in the public chat. :computer:

Hmmmm....

I already avoid that places.

Better go out to have fun with a good gear ;) :sniper:

The non depositer starterkit is the SWEATING button

Better deposid & help to get more drops out of the lootpool :wise:

Sweat for a while, or search for fruits on amathera (Caution: you need to walk an look closely if u want to find some fruits)
when your sweat limit is reached (aporx lvl 110 sweatin) you should have aprox 1000 - 1500 sweat which you can easy sell @ 3.0 - 3.2 now, which means you will have than 30 - 45 ped @ 3.0
you need an axe which is TT+0,5 - TT-1 (full reapired 7 PEDs TT), Full Pixie aprox TT+10 (which is also aprox. 20-25 PED), than you need a FAP 5 (at least) which is 15 PED TT (but u can also loot it on snabblesnot), and with that you should stuck on combibo, berry, comundo, faurcevix, exo)

This should be your stater pack for aprox 47 PED full repaired

Personally I think armor is not necessary when you start off. I've looted a lot of gob/pix and I still dont wear armor. I do just fine on low level mobs (mind you I made it a point to grab every TP and died a few hundred times at the hands of high level mobs first :p)

I said less than 5 ped caue sweaters dont really get 20 peds or 10. So 5 ped max would be a good starter kit. Also, for noobs who would need an axe and gun, shouldnt use armor when they first start to hunt because they have low peds and the armor decay would just kill em.

I understand right that you like to be killed over xxx times before you get the TPs?

Isnt that a bit frustrating?

When i started PE i was able to walk as ghost. Today it is different.

It is just because youre a beginner why i sugest to buy a decent basic gear.
Do a lidle global on a mid-level MOB is much finer than get broke by lack of efficency.

Todays skillsystem wil give you more skills than we got yesterdays.
You should use that fact ;)

The noobs starter kit is it's mentor! :)
Sweating is ok, as a sing of dedication to the game, but in long term it needs luck to start out well .. and some help from mento .. like team hunts.
For me armor isn't as valuable, as I chose places for hunt that are near a city so I'm back in action quite soon .. a weapon and a good backup of repair peds or ammo is the best thing to have .. as the loots aren't as great now for hunters as the mining madness continues. Basicly .. with the 1x0 geeting less effective .. what would you suggest as a replacement?

I suggest to start with mann mph, pixie armor and FAP-5.
Rest in ammo.

I think a good starter kit doesn't have to have armor in it. Makes it more expensive to play and only causes players to attack mobs that are too big for them anyway ( which costs more ammo and decay ).

A starterskit could be :

A friendly smile
Pointing to good guides
Helping to get TP's
An axe / low end handgun
A rifle like Jester D1
Some ammo
Game tips ( where to sweat / hunt / mine whatever , how to avoid mobs, etc. )
A pat on the back every now and then
An entry on a FL, for someone to chat with

And depending on the profession the new player chooses, just go do some stuff together ( mining / hunting / exploring ).

When I just started, a real life friend handed me some items and walked me past most TP's and to some 'special' places ( like the robot ship or Morning Tear Castle ). Sure... he had the big guns and kept us alive, we also died a lot of times, but we had fun and I'd seen and done a lot of things together, so I understood the PE dynamics and Calypso...

My starterkit consisted of :

1x0 axe
Jester D1
Shriek basic
Some ammo

And with those I looted a FAP 10 and off I went ;). This really was enough... no need for armor or any other decaying items.

I think the trick is to help new players to play a longer amount of time, without the need for big repairs on decay.

Pixie armor costs 12ped @ TT value. They are not worth very much. :)

I say the only thing you need to start is a Jester D-1/Mann/1x0 which ever of your liking and a Fap-5.
No need for amror.. Just go with a friend and ping pong most of the time.. Besides you dont really need armor for Exos when you have two people going at it do you?
But if you want a high end starter kit.. Go get a Punisher MkI from the weapons trader and the Fap-5
D-1 +Fap-5 =~17 peds if you get the Fap from the TT(15 peds).
PMkI +Fap-5=45(30 for PMkI).

I can sometimes agree that there is no need for armor, but if the new player seriously wanna play some, I think it could be nice to start with pixie. With low skills, mob hit you more and instead of healing yourself all the time, you can also shoot more.
Of course I am agree that the new player should have a team-mate to hunt with.

why should newbies pay for fap-5 when they can find it at tt? and fap IS NOT mandatory until u hunt cornundacauda or so.

TT does not give FAP-5 out for free.
I don't say that newbies need to pay more then TT for the FAP-5.

Reason that I mentioned pixie armor was that they don't need to pay so much for decay on FAP-5 in the start when they only heal from 1.0 - 5.0 with their FAP. (Raise very soon when they got some skills, though)

blah, my english crash sometimes.

i was refering to the first post in this thread, and there, among other items, is full fap-5.

so i repeat. why should newbies buy fap-5 full from a player rather than from tt?

that puzzles me somehow and sounds .... better not making any judgments.

Viagra is composing newby kits, which also contain a FAP 5. I think he's giving them away for free, or maybe for TT value.

No reason people should pay more for a FAP 5 than TT value, I don't even think they have to be in the kit, since every other Argo I kill, I receive a FAP 5... It's easily looted and then more useful than armor ( for new players ), since it'll built healing skills, which are very usefull later on.

If I'd kept all FAP 5's I've looted, I could supply all new players coming year with a free FAP 5, and I'm sure most hunters can...

I'd say... no armor and no FAP in the kit... keep it as small and simple as possible...

There is no non depositer starter kit. Its called sweating, selling your sweat and collect your peds.. and then buy a couple of things.

I will help a society member or a newbie with free items once they pass my personal test and I see this person as a long term player who is willing to help out his society. Other than that.... no freebies.

It doesn't have to be a full tt fap-5, does it? You said it yourself, "since every other Argo I kill, I receive a FAP 5... It's easily looted". But what are they worth? 5 PED? 3 PED? 10 PED? Not the 15 PED from tt. I think a fap-5 that is worth ~5 PED is good in a starter kit.
Don't forget that newbies/starters get hit more often. And even when they are hunting low end mobs, it would be good if they can heal themselfs sometimes.

For skilling reasons I always see players telling noobs that a good start gun is Sollomate Opalo, I have the MK2 and for starters, i would recommend the opalo w/ an amp 104+ as opposed to going straight to an MK2. Not just for price but for the fact that it's more efficient, uses less ammo and provides you w/ more skill and bonus for starters. Just a thought...

like he said and imo a 'beginner no deposit starter's kit' is... well.. pointless in this game.

i spent and would recommend anyone else deposit roughly 20 to 50 USD and buy maybe rascal, opalo, fap5 and just go to town. start with snabble, then buy an amp and a fap50, continue to skill on funner mobs. then buy a backup mk2 for fun and faster skilling... i dunno :p
