Hey is the PE Wiki down again? I just now went to it and it's looking all goofed up!

noticed it too, was working fine earlier today.

Zap's loot table works fine for the loots but the mob-weapon section is one :handgun: of a kind on the wiki. I need that to achieve my victory over a mob before firing up the guns :handgun:

So anyone who can ping the maintainer of the wiki please give him/her a warning...

I am looking into it atm. The issue was that there were over 100 connections open (probably a spammer), and I think the connection limit is 100. After I killed all connections, the site somehow wont connect anymore, but I can connect to the database directly. I think its a matter of time until it works again. I think I know how i can prevent it to happen again. For now, we just have to wait.
 
Witte, your assumption of wiki maintanence is a great service to the EU community. Thank you

I wonder if you know why the links to the wiki from eg peauction don't work. It has been that way since the last time the wiki was down. Perhaps i should be contacting the peauction webmaster, but i was wondering if you had changed some access settings or something.

I think it has to do that PE assistent is trying to use
http://www.pe-wiki.info
that does not seem to work
http://pe-wiki.info works fine though.

I think that along the way the www part in front of pe-wiki.info stopped working. Or is pointing to a wrong server.

Ah good eye; it's just a matter of redirection and server configuration then. I sent a message to Smoothee about it.

Edit: I forgot i still had the entry in my local hosts file. The problem was resolved by removing it. D'oh!

It works here. I think it might still be a side effect from back when the domain name was down. The workaround was to place the DNS in your local host file. But since wiki has changed servers in the meanwhile, the IP is not correct anymore. So everytime you type www.pe-wiki.com, it points to the wrong address.

So to solve that, just delete the hostfile entry.

Anyhow, does anyone here has experience with MySQL servers? I need abit of help ;).
 
Lol that was it.
I had forgotten that i put it in the host file for the DNS problem.
