Thought we could do with some light comic relief.

Lets face it, newbies are cute. I sometimes go watch them learning how to walk at Port Atlantis drop off zone, but the even cuter moments tend to come a few hours or a day later when they ask or comment on something with a beautiful niavity that can only be answered with "Awwww"

I'm sure we've all experienced these, so I'll let you fill in the gaps from here, but will set the ball rolling with a personal favourite of mine.

Guy in his OJ's trying to sell sweat at some ridiculously high price, claiming it was "special" sweat. When asked what made it so special the loveable but hapless response was: "Because I got it from an Atrox."

Awwwww. :)

I was at PA a couple of days ago and a newbie was talking to one of the MA Guides. The Guide was explaining, or trying to explain, the process of sweating to earn PEDS. After a few minutes the newbie expressed concern about what would happened if it got cold .....would they still be able to sweat :rofl:

Im glad we have those funny Newbies in game :) without them so many places would feel empty :D

I like the lone socialist anouncer that crops up from time to urging other noobs not to sell sweat under, I belive it was 2.5 when i started it was 0.8 the other day. "Together we can keep the price high and stop them ripping us off". Some hope.

The other one is the noob kid urging you to "Pleeeeeese can you give me some ped, armour, gun etc. Oh pleeeeeese can you help, i am so pooooor, pleeeese.

Still a noob, but when I was all new to EU and had learned about sweating I ran around outside PA and clicked "gather sweat" .. since I ran I got sweaty was the logic.. glad I tried it on a mob or I guess I would have been quite frustrated .. (yes tried to sweat myself) :D

I think the funniest one ever was the guy who was only two or three days old getting an ATH mining tower and trying to use his extractor to get the resources from it.
 
I was hunting with a noob I had taken under my wing, .. i tell him how nice it would be to get a hof, and he responded " it would be even better to get a ATH"... well i had to agree there, but the best part was five minutes later when he finaly gathered the courage to ask what ATH and HOF where.....

I literally fell of my chair..still brings a bright smile to my face.

Don't know if it's the same guy, but...

I have a disciple who, at the time, had played for 1 or 2 months, and only mined for 2-3 days, when he hit an ATH.

He's still here, but he doesn't have much time, so he only pops in now and then to say 'hi', hunt for an hour and check on his money. Then a month or two passes until his next visit. :)
 
last night at PA a noob went up to me offered trade menu so i accepted.. he asks.. "Can i have Ped's? I need 2K" lol i didnt know wht to say to that
 
I was healing and focusing out in Fort Troy a couple of days ago when I decided to go to PA and see if there was anything exciting going on with the noobs and the guides.

I TP'd into PA and went over to the "New Arrivals" area. As I chatted with Guide #3 and #4, I had the opportunity to heal and focus a couple of sweaters in the area.

A brand-newbie came along and asked me how come he didn't have the option to be a mage when he was creating his avatar.

This is me making a dumb figure:

Was sweating near PA in the first week and did see a strange building: the Stable.
Got near and there was due green dots and a strange orange dot, the stable master.
Right click on him and the guy said "Hello"
And me: "human?:scratch2: "

The two green dots started laughing....:ahh:

1, hey , do you need a good armor? i can craft you a really good one. (ME . what armor type can you crafte. ( I can craft you Angle Jaguar and more if you give me the minerals i want first! :cool:


2.one time i did look like a noob (noob cloths, ) one noob come to me and say* Hey do you have all the tp's and the seacret one's?. ( Me - nope i dont have the seacrt one's. ( give me 50ped i say a seacret tp to you. ( i put 50ped inn the window. and he say. Tresure island castle. :scratch2:

3 - if you are a mentor. can i get some weapons or armor? No, ( you are a bad mentor!! - and you los him as deciple. :silly2:
 
This one just happened to me today while I was out trying to get the MA Guides to kick me for bubbling in the New Arrivals area.

Noobie walks up to me and tries to private chat. I accepted and he states,

"Hi, I'm new and poor, but I see you are cool and very nice. Could you perhaps give me something small for free so I can have some money?"

"I have nothing small I can give to you," I replied, "all my stuff is BIG and costs me too much money to give it away for free. Sadly, I don't even have any fruit or anything to give you right now."

"Ok, then," came his immediate reply, "You can give me something BIG for free worth lots of PEDs, I don't mind."

Then he proceded with the "plz, plz, plz," and eventually closed with, "Thanks for nothing!"
