Well we might as well have some fun with this topic. (issue?)

I've added the names of those mentioned in the original thread, likely candidates, plus some I thought might be a good idea.

Get voting folks. Practice now for when the ingame voting booths open.

(C'mon. You knew someone had to make this kind of thread, right?)

It might seem that you have put in some names of people that dont even play EU anymore, why would i vote for a president that doesnt live in my country?

Umm.. I don't think there's anything officiallly said about the Prez being elected...(correct me if I'm wrong)

I promise to increase the No loot messages, to remove the remaining fun (is there any still? :scratch2: ) and to finish,i promise to take all the money ad go away to a unknow country to live with a unknow women and have one unknow number of childrens! YEah,i rock! :laugh:

Now honestly,i always vote in white,so i'll keep my no names votes :)

Nope. It's just me having some fun with the situation. My "vote for me" thread joke bombed so I figured I'd have fun this way and throw some other names in, around, and under.

why would we want a president? Would he/she would be the spokesman? How would he/she be accountable?

Anyway, let us not vote for the most popular avatar, but one who is down to earth and communicates with every level of players... thre are few of them in the list that I can think of.

seriously, if i were forced to vote i'd pick etopia. she is a long term player with excellent knowledge of some game functions and also quite critical here on the forum, which would be my main reson to give her my vote. downside is she is in a top 2 society along with rich and mighty people...
 
Tough choice, I could have voted Neomaven cos hey, don't monopolies rock :laugh:

I wanted to vote Skam, cos she's so nice, dedicated. The MA acceptable face of EU.

But I voted Etopia, cos she keeps it real, and is representative of alot of us with our somewhat jaded views. Would MA let her govern, or attempt a governmental take-over.

Also, if you vote for me, I will ensure that my communication to the public and the masses will be at least as often as MA communicates with us. ;)

Given how much attention MA pays to player suggestions and how little of EU's population is present in EF, the president will have as much power as a.... hmmm, trying to think of a rl government official that has a high title and no power... help anyone?

Vote Zippo!!! We could have anarchy in the EU with me as the supreme tyrant! Open up all areas to lootable pvp, with open bars so people could get plenty sloshed!!!

My first big project would be to knock of the head of the moose statue at New Oxford to be replaced with a giant spiked mohawk head of zippo himself!!! Workers would be paid in beer! It would also be outfitted with laser turret eyes that could shoot anyone that would dare challenge me from across the continent!

Seriously folks, I've tried to research how I can make changes to the poll, but I can't find anyway to do it. Little help here?
 
I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring.

If elected I will:

* Funnel public money into my privet slush fund.
* Pass laws that only help the high level players that are paying me under the table.
* Do everything I can to pretty much over the citizens I represent.


Anyone you elect is going to do this but I am being honest about it.

A vote for Renolds is a vote for honesty in politics.




PS: Never believe campaign promises. The person running for office will always break them.
 
a wise man once said that the best candidate for a leader is one who has no asperation to leadership. the decision is made easy by the inclusion of ViagraFalls, who as far as im aware doesnt even play anymore, so is thus perfect on the above criteria.

If only one person had to be elected, i would not vote. There has to be a council of at least 10 players to make this thing work. Now to the names.

Yes: Etopia, Skalman, Starman, Pham, one top crafter (probably Buzz), one miner (not quite sure which one), I forgot more people than I mentioned here so diregard. One person per society rule should apply so tough runoff between Etopia and Skalman, I would go for Etopia as he is more critical.

No: Dub (I would vote him in as the first person before the Ruga and ATH, might get little biased now), NEVERDIE, Deathifier, Neomaven, Eps, RobRoy, Akoz (major land owners). Maximus/Helena/u know the type ;)

How the voting is handled will be another interesting thing, I would suggest allowing only the estate owners to vote. Definitely do not weight the votes by total attributes/skills/hp.

My fees are 1000 EFD per fixed vote, plus another 1000 EFD per vote to sway the other mods from opposing the corruption :laugh:

I'm confused. You have Ubers who you put in yes, but not those that "are major land owners". Yet you want to limit voting to only those that are estate holders (apartments and above).

So, not too rich, but not too poor?

OK. So MA intends to muck up the pre-existing story line even more?

Why not give each participant one MindArk share for every 1000 Peds deposited and give the population a REAL say in how things go. In this environment, it's easy to have something closer to a true democracy than anywhere else.

Come on MA... Got the balls to let the customers have a real voice in PROJECT ENTROPIA.

Allowing only the estate holders to vote seems like the best way to differentiate between your average noobie standing on the corner in PA and somebody who understands the universe and the direction it is heading. I would like to see the major landowners out of the government to prevent abuse of the power. If you had 100k+ $ in the game and were elected in the government, would you push the playerbase interest even if it would mean reducing your own profits?
