My first HOF

Advise that you really should follow: Take the money and run... its $550, take that out asap, will be wasted fast and thats just dumb to give the casino loot back into MA's pockets...

i agree with you. i can't believe it you can loot over 500 real $ on this mob.

Gratz to you and -rep to all complaining about this.

There is an element of chance in the game and this time anathol is lucky.

Why are all these skilled players complaining? they had a chance to skill when this was a lot easier than now.
They had a chance to skill with a heavily amped opalo and reach better weapons before the amp rule of max 50% of damage was introduced
They had a chance to snap up uber items before they were as highly priced as they are now
Why complain that indeed you can get lucky...

How many combibos of this nature have we seen? indeed. 1.. its so extraordinary that everybody starts talking about it. Its a huge exception; somebody got lucky. We all know that it is a game of chance.. that more experienced players have a higher chance on hofs as they can hunt mobs that drop these more often. But who says that if you hunt combibos with an opalo you should be excluded from that possibility?

Look at it another way:
If you think that anathol is a beginner and should not yet be rewarded.. remember that he will probably invest in the game now by buying other gear/ burning more ammo / paying more decay/ chipping which will return in the game directly (ammo/decay) or indirectly (by buying new gear /chipping which enables the seller to purchase ammo/repair/etc)

Maybe anathol chooses to start crafting or buys a big weapon. something which he is not yet skilled in... this would mean a lot of misses or loss in crafting which is beneficial for everyone as this finances other activites in EU.

Maybe Anathol was a nondepositor and he decides to cashout. In this case MA has generated publicity with this bibo which encourages the newer players to continue hunting their own mobs, knowing that there is always a chance that you will get a loot. And MA would not have benefitted from anathol as he was not bringing cash in but rather betting on the possibility to withdraw. (im not saying you do, you probably dont but i am mentioning possible thoughts of negreppers.)

Afterall dont forget that the uberloots for experienced players are also financed by desparate noobs who miss their mob all the time, revive and repair their armour often as they dont have much evade. (again, this is not a personal qualification)

I would STILL be complaining if I was the one who got this hof, as its totally abnormal not natural that an total n00b mob generates that large a hof. Same goes with the feffoid bandit and other semi n00b mobs.

Then I and others go hunting formicaida strongs, aurlis, other semi uber mobs, and get loads of non looters that finance the combibos and feffoids...

Thats bloody insane - should all high skilled players start to take down bibos that we can take down with one shot to get a chance? Thats insane :scratch2:

To have some of the ppl better sleep I have deposidet money into ths game (more than once)! And I dont want to cash out! I want to use it and play with it as long as possible and if all is gone and I need than I will depo again! At the and it will go back where it cam from to the loot pool it is only a matter of time!

I agree that this is abnormal.. And thats the whole point of the game. You never know if/when you will get a good loot. and once in a while somebody gets a great loot. Why should the chance for a great loot be zero for less skilled players/lower mobs.. remember we are playing a casino where the more you play, the more skilled you are, the bigger mobs you hunt the bigger chance of getting a great loot once in a while BUT it is still a game of chance. The fact that once in a while a loot such as this occurs just prooves this.

Non looters is something that happens with most mobs, dont blame that on financing noobs. Remember.. noobs also finance themselves by missing mobs and repairing due to less evade.

The qualification of total noob is for your account. I know some people who graduated in 2 months (mainman Joser, my former disciple) and went on to become quite skilled in a short time.

I sympathy with your frustration that you apparently havent had your fair (?) share of good loots but remember this is a casino. If you cant take that heat.. stay out of this kitchen.

eagle, what you do not realize - maybe because you haven't been here long enough, or are easy to forget things are that this game wasnt always a casino...

Not the way its a casino now that is.

Remember back when there was no non looters, the return was about 99.98% and the items dropped like leafs off the trees. Now its a return of 50%, chance of an uber hof is like 0.00000001%, and basically no items drops...

Thats why I and others are this frustrated and feel really F*****by MA and whoever make this game. :mad:

Edit: Back then there was no hofs really, I never saw an hof over 1k, was like once every month... Now its daily - and now its daily over 10k...

How viable do you think a game is that you can download for free. have no obligation to pay (as you can sweat) and pays back on average 99.98% of your ammo/decay) while items drop like leafs on trees?

Ever considered that Mindark rewarded the earliest players to build up a playerbase while searching for a long term equilibrium?

They clearly stated in their pressreleases that it costs players an average of $1-$2 per hour to play this game.

It aint a charity...

We can understand your frustration, however this is the WRONG place to express it! I believe that there is another thread that whines about the same thing, so everyone that wants to bash MA can do it there.
This is where we should say congratulations to the guy, not whine about it!

You have to understand Anathol that there are people hunting for these kinds of hofs aslong as the pre gold was here.
They deposited thousands of dollars YES DOLLARS! to get some nice gear and to have fun in this universe. Although it is totally understandable why people are freaking out on this hof.
Even me, you probably dont even know mobs like formidon and formicacida since youre playing this game for 4 - 5 months.
Now go buy yourself some chips and guns, deposit more and prove yourself against the rest of the player base.

Why are some people shocked?

Sometimes some players are broke and go back to sweat after lots of deposit. Some other go back to argo and cornu, etc...

As it is regulary the case for me since i have started this game, it is nice to have such a chance. As someone said kill all the mobs and not only the big one when you are on a mixed spawn.

sorry for my poor english, hope you get the idea.
 
theBuzz, u also forget that such a loot-friendly game as PE was went bankrupt.

I am sorry, but your post was insulting. The guy posted his HOF and had all the right to do it. Then you start to laugh and patronize him. You deserved that -rep plenty! This is not a place to whine about other people's joy, this is where we at least pretend to be happy for them. If you want to whine about it, do it somewhere else!

I for sure don't have any problems with you speaking your mind.(that's allowed in Norway aswell) I just think you do it in the wrong thread, that's all.
You can express whatever you think about skilling and loot system, just don't do it in a HOF-thread.

You know...everyone has the right to express themselves, they have that freedom. But that freedom is limited: for example you cannot insult someone and say that you just expressed your oppinion.
This subforum was created with a purpose and when you are saying those kind of words you are spoling someone's joy. It's rude. It's against the rules of common sense, of decency.
Let this guy to be happy about his HOF and make another thread if you feel frustrated, or post in the one already created.
And, as an answer to your question : if you are so pissed off about it, why dont you stop playing? You choose to play a game because you like it, if you dont like it anymore you stop playing. It's as simple as that. Not to mention that MA allows you to withdraw your money that you put in.
