No need to be a dick. Oh, and although I beleive the principal of most things In the thread, about this insane loot, bit no one really cares how long you've played. We're (Me at least) are not talking about that, more on how easy It Is to kill these things and what little it takes skill and weapon wise.

No one gives a shit how Uber you think you are. Keep to the point of the discussion ;) And carry it on In the link given. Hehe.

I didnt say this was the right section for it but ahwel many have gone before me. So dont blame it all on me.

MA was forced to declare bankruptcy when a large investor got jittery and pulled their support in period when many software and IT companies were failing. That MA and PE survived is a tribute to their resilience and the promise the product showed.

I sincerely lament where they've taken it since. MA is fully capable of operating the internal economy of EU as a null system, returning the same tt that goes out in ammo and weapon decay. How they distribute that quantity is the real issue here.
 
Wow .. Grats on the Uber loot :yay:

Reading through the post I see that quite a few people are
upset with MA, though I am glad that none or very little of
the hate is directed at you ;) Not sure why they are getting
so bend out of shape, I know for a fact that at least one of
the ATH Mining Hof (not near the bottom) was found by a
friend that had very little skill and was using TT equipment :eek:
I have had an active Avatar for a little over 2 years (though
took a 9 month break when they cut skilling to the quick),
and I am still waiting for my first Hunting Hof (I have had
3 Mining Hofs best being 572 ped Oil).

Is funny I was skilling on this level mob the night before
this Uber Hof hit, and the loots stunk :laugh: Three more
nights of skilling, and should finally reach my goal of
Serendipity :D

Grats again, hope ya get many more great loots, but leave
some for the rest of us ;)

gratz man, those 5K can last a few months of playing, or in the hands of a gambler it could be gone in a day :D

MA, were did you suddenly find all that money to share, were you keeping it to yourself all that time ??? :scratch2:

Nothing wrong with you getting an uber loot and posting here about it. Well done :) You should be well chuft and everyone else should be chuft for you.

There are questions about what MA are doing to have a loot like this drop from such a mob, but that aint your problem. You happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Dont hate the player, he was just playing the game.

Gratz on the Hof buddy, it's as good as looting Angel parts from a Molisk.

Having said that though I can understand the ill feeling towards MA. Over the last 2 months or so the return on hunting has gone steadily downwards in my experience, to the point where it's costing me more than I'm prepared to pay for this pleasure. So now I hunt without any armour and with Opalo/S40/S30, and my Bear+6As gathers dust in storage. :(

Due to injury I have a lot more free time and a lot less money than I used to have. $1-2/hour I can live with, EU is a business after all, it's the $5-15/hour inc decay that is a bit too rich for my taste.

We all know that it is a game of chance.. that more experienced players have a higher chance on hofs as they can hunt mobs that drop these more often. But who says that if you hunt combibos with an opalo you should be excluded from that possibility?

Look at it another way:
If you think that anathol is a beginner and should not yet be rewarded.. remember that he will probably invest in the game now by buying other gear/ burning more ammo / paying more decay/ chipping which will return in the game directly (ammo/decay) or indirectly (by buying new gear /chipping which enables the seller to purchase ammo/repair/etc)

Maybe anathol chooses to start crafting or buys a big weapon. something which he is not yet skilled in... this would mean a lot of misses or loss in crafting which is beneficial for everyone as this finances other activites in EU.

Maybe Anathol was a nondepositor and he decides to cashout. In this case MA has generated publicity with this bibo which encourages the newer players to continue hunting their own mobs, knowing that there is always a chance that you will get a loot. And MA would not have benefitted from anathol as he was not bringing cash in but rather betting on the possibility to withdraw. (im not saying you do, you probably dont but i am mentioning possible thoughts of negreppers.)

Afterall dont forget that the uberloots for experienced players are also financed by desparate noobs who miss their mob all the time, revive and repair their armour often as they dont have much evade. (again, this is not a personal qualification)

I'm complaining! And i am not an uber, i'm not even skilled - 1,5k rifle. I am still using opalo.
Just to put some things in perspective.

I am not complaining that he got a nice uberhof, i am not complaining that one can get lucky. But i am complaining that one HAS to be lucky because else you will lose a LOT. Like going to hunt with 100 ped ammo and returning with 25 ped loot.

Nobody is excluded, but do some statistics. The odds that someone gets that hof is incredibly high. The chance that it's YOU that loots it, is about zero.
And it is NOT a huge exception that someone gets a huge loot on a not-so-huge mob. We've had a 1.5k bery mature, a 4.4k caudatergus mature, a 12k ambulimax young, a 11k drone generation 1.

I'm not thinking that he should not YET be rewarded. Nobody in any way deserves any reward like that. But i would say we all 'deserve' a chance to break even. And that, it turns out, is hardly possible anymore. In this VU, i lost more in 3 days than i used to lose in 3 weeks. And I'm not alone in that.
But oh, wait, that must be something that is totally not related, because we all get paid the same, and big hofs have no influence whatsoever on general payout. :scratch2:

Yeah, dont forget that a 5.4k hof on a combibo mature is also financed by me, who misses the mobs all the time, revive and repair my armour often, as i dont have much evade.

Later add:
Don`t know how long u`ve been in but some of those "ubers" and not only them helped this Universe come to its current form by depositing,stepping on bugs and other "current" hassle to stay alive and on top. This entitles him, as well as the "ubers" that u`re so against of to this kinda HoF. Querstion that comes is not fairness but balance. Keeping above the waves. As most admit, it`s kinda hard if not impossible to do that since avg. loot went to the drain.
Gratz to you young hoffer, spend it wisely and keep hope for many more to come.

I hate niave comments like this. Think about what your saying. Ubers are Ubers because they've spent OVER $10k not because they were lucky enough to win the lottery, weekly.

Oh BS... even people giving grats are bitching. If they choose to deposit their life savings into a video game, and get nothing back then that's no ones fault but their own. If you walk into a casino and "invest" 10K, you can't bitch because the dude that stuck a dollar in hit the jackpot. My problem is anyONE thinking they deserve anyTHING in this GAME! They've paid for their ego's and that's about it. You must realize also that when I say "they", i am not speaking about everyone, but they know who they are, and most of us do to, due to the whining. And i love how everyone always says "if you've bothered to read the posts." If I didn't read the posts, I wouldn't have posted at all. Oh... and this game IS the lottery, so what does anyone expect?
