Description :
The full name of this creature is the Aetherexenausor, the "Sky King".
These majestic creatures ride on the high winds far up in the sky.
They need to land on the ground to feed,
which makes them vulnerable and also far more aggressive.

actually, they wouldn't kill even the noobest player in 1 hit unless they critted
 
In general I've found that these loot quite well... it would appear that not many ppl hunt them...

I probably shouldn't have said that... now everyone's gonna have a go!

i probably can't get them with my sword. :)

(no experiment performed, but i know for sure one can't harm hiryuu using cutter two (5 m range))
 
Hopefully some higher maturity examples on the way that can be scanned this coming weekend, if they fly low enough:)

alpha on up can hit pretty hard through ghost + 5b. But with ghost being the new pixi these days not saying much.

However... I have seen alot of globals from people camping this mob lately and would like to see what they ahve been looting...

Someone said in another thread that they found some northwest of Jason. I guess it's probably not a very good spawn or we would have heard more about it, but worth a look.

I have been out looking for them myself (not at Jason) but dident find them.
 
I did a bit of exploring, and the spawn area for aetherex northwest of Jason Centre is quite large. They are also mixed with caudatergus(domi-prowler), fugabarba(young-Alpha), gibnib (old-dominant), and drones (01-03). The aetherex are only young-old (mostly youngs). They are fairly easy to spot via radar (higher threat than drones, same threat as caudatergus prowler). Meleeing them is a little difficult due to their size and attack range (harder than kingfisher, tsktsk and the flying insects). I guess in around 300ped ammo I killed 30 aetherex (approx 20% of spend)

Its a shame the OA - Stalker spawn is gone :(
 
tyvm immortal for this information, I am running aroudn there now, only saw two as iof yet, but ill look around some more :)
