lol! Not exactly eloquently put but I'm sure that sums up how a lot of people are feeling. Still it can't be helped.

It is a great shame that the mag has gone the way of most MA things however I doubt the annoyance at this felt by any individual expecting to receive a copy comes close to that felt by those involved in its production. Imagine if you'd put a lot of time and effort into something only to have it held up by no fault of your own. A backlash from the community on the subject would only make you feel worse.

I think its fustration all round. I'm still looking forward to receiving my copy but I guess patience will be the operative word. :laugh:
 
I don't know if it actually means anything but last night my mag value went from 210 to 10 like they said it would and it also says shipped. Heres hoping.

I am waiting with anticipation and allthough its late I'm looking at it as being an xmas present arriving late, well very late, I think most people are annoyed because they have expectations for the mag and the delay makes everyone think it will be bad, I really hope the reason its late is because they want to get it right, quality can not be rushed so I would rather wait and get a great mag :)

Well just as frustrated as everybody else :mad: , I worked quite hard to pull together the player contributed stuff in time for the deadline :(

I've poked the publisher a bit and going to give them a call today to see whats going on. Marco is on holiday until the 9th, so there won't be much in the way of news from MA at the moment.

Well I'm glad you posted this...though not everyone who volunteered to contribute heard back from ANYONE yea or nay which was disappointing.

I feel that MA does a good job following through with most things, such as the movie contest and other events, but at what point does the promises made for "The Entropian" become so different from the reality that we are due some sort of recompense? I spent 800 ped on this thing. :rolleyes:

When and if this thing ever comes out, there better be an exclusive contest for subscribers and it better not be for people with mod faps only.

I work in printing, and mailing (yes i send junk mail) ;)
They should have been delivered as promised, but from my experience printing, eer publishing can have alot of variables that can hold up production (pre, current, post) so have a little heart. Its not as easy as people think :D

On that note If MA needs someone to handle this, My company can :silly2:

Any updates, Mister Az?

The saddest bit is that even when you do receive the content, it will still need to be edited, reviewed, etc :( I am estimating we're potentially looking at a few more weeks before we can actually take PE to the shitter with us.

Just Kidding.

Things should be delivered as promised... always, if you fail to give people what they ask for in a specific time, then you have failed in customer service. You shouldn't promise people something you can't keep up..
However, this is a special case, some people must put into account that this magazine is coming all the way from Europe (for those who live in other countries/continents) so for that and ONLY that reason, I shall forgive them :tongue2:

Let me explain: I dropped my Entropian on the Table (ingame) and left it there ever since. The Table is standing in My House.
I sure hope this means the Entropian is 'with me', and that I will get the ectual copy on my pe-accounts linked IRL address.

Will I? Az?

Or should I hold the E-mag in my hands/storage at all times??

+ is it shipped now, yes/no??
 
I don't know what the official word is on the "where do I keep the mag?" issue but I doubt it actually makes any diff. I think in essance the 2 things are separate. The in-game version is just a bit of fun (and a nice concept).

However I'm at Club Neverdie and will be for the forseeable future and my mags in storage back on Calypso... I shouldn't worry if I were you.

Can we get MA to post about what is going on? It was to ship in the last half of 2005. Has it even gone to press yet?
 
Issues with the first Issue.

Has anyone got their magazine?

I have asked the support and have still (after 6 days) not got any replay. My friend has asked MindArk too and go the answere that they will look into it, but therafter silence.

Seems like MindArk is avoiding questions about the magazine. At least they could have put up a note like...

"We are sorry for the delay, but a snablesnot got stucked in the press", or whatever the reason is for the delay. No we only get pissed instead.
 
I don't like this delay at all.. I agree to ppl who say that if they set a date, then it should be shipped that date.

I think MA overall doesn't take us players seriously.. I have heard alot of stories about ppl mailing a ticket to MA about different things (including myself) and all of us gets un-finished answeres and then they close the subject, with no chance for us to continue on the problem in that same support matter. I get the feeling that PE has become bigger then MA expected and that they are loosing it... I think that with a on-line game with real economy, you could atleast be sure to have a working organisation. The support is a very important thing and I think MA doesn't take it seriously.

I will wait for the magazine of course.. cause I have no choice. But this will scare ppl away from buying future rl items in PE.

This is what I think... don't know bout you guys.
 
Well personally I won't be devastated if the magazine doesn't come out.

But if it doesn't come out and we get no discount for our 80.00 U.S. dollars, I will feel QUITE different.
 
Well i can't understand why it took that long. The Articles are done the atwork finished the layout designed it just need to get printed. Is the printing company out of paper and colors or what ? And the only one who could bring some light into it remains silent... Its soon almost a full month delay.
 
I want my money back.

MA don't give a toss about us, they've had our money and that's all that matters, maybe one day in their own sweet time they'll sort it out.

Maybe they're waiting til the competition dates are over?

last time i checked at auction thouse magazines, then i sow, that under the Shipment, where imo should been YES, was No.
Not sure, what that means, but.. anyone know whay there is NO ?

A lot of people signed and paid for this magazine. I'm quite sure, that if something happend which mean that it will not be delivered as planned, the money will return to every costumer who paid!

I wouldnt worrie so much - or this is my personal opinion - Im not leaving game - I'we got plenty of time to wait (though I AM very eager to see the Magazine *G*)!

I'm sure there's hundreds of reasons, it's just that it would be nice of them to let us know what is happening instead of leaving us in the dark and trying to second guess everything as usual.

Oh, and also to change the shipped tag on inventory item and value from 10peds back to 210peds so we can tt it if we want to cancel.

Well its a tricky one about who should annouce things, MA or the Publisher. But when theres news it will be posted. And when there isn't well I've been in this community long enough to know how it works and I'm not going to start conspiracies.

Anyhow, the only news I have is that the talks last week between MA and the Publisher was productive and I think that the big issues have been ironed out. Its now just a case of working on getting this thing out of the door.

And no the competition won't have expired by the time you get it ;)

A. MA

Therefore in my book MA should make announcements and if they are being let down then they should let us know.

Their silence on the whole thing seems rather damning to me.

MA and Publisher still in talks?? I really hope they get their act together if they intend to produce further issues, else it may end up being an Annual!

The mag. at auction will have the Shipment set to NO.
After you buy it, and someone process your order then it will say YES. BUT as we found out it really should have said Processed, because we have not received any mag. :(
