Health is the attribute of being mentally, socially, and physically able to act and react to varying situations. The first is that higher maximum health allows one to take a bigger hit without dying. The second is that in EU hitpoints are regenerated every 20 seconds, and 1/20th of the maximum health is regenerated each time. That means that for example with 200 health maximum an avatar gets 10 HP back every 20 seconds, while with 100 health it gets just 5.
Hitpoints (health) are not gained in an integral fashion (not by +1 at a time). Each time an avatar gets a skill gain that influences health, a tiny fraction of a hit point is gained, as well. A notice is given when the avatar hit points reach the next integer value. This makes it difficult to know how much any specific skill affects health without chipping that skill in or out, because when an avatar skills multiple skills, many of them may be contributing to the health increase at a time.

Under the what?

Anyway, nice post! :)

Fixed, thanks for spotting.

Most of the terms in this glossary were submitted by EF members. We originally were using a forum addon to operate a separate glossary page, but there were some problems with the addon. I have thus extracted all the entries from there and put them in this thread.

Feel free to suggest any additional terms, or edits to existing terms for this glossary here in this thread, which I have subscribed and will periodically update.

How about spider? :wtg:

Edit: Also I don't know just how correct you want to be, but skills are counted in points (professions are counted in levels). Maybe just include Level as a new post and write how it is commonly used for both.

All of the terms in this glossary were submitted by various EF members, so there may be some inconsistencies in the terminology used (especially with regard to skills and unlock requirements).

Thanks for the corrections, I will edit the glossary now. Keep them coming! Hopefully we can get this glossary as accurate, consistent and comprehensive as possible.

Thanks!

Can you be more specific (with examples maybe)? I am not quite following.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback!

You don't gain rifle levels - you gain rifle points. (You gain Ranged Damage (ie profession) levels.)

So when disciple reads "An avatar can only become a disciple if his/her skills are below a certain level." it should really be "An avatar can only become a disciple if he or she has below a certain number of skill points."

But as that can be major confusing, I suggest you come up with a post about points and levels, and how both are refered to as simply levels. :wtg:

The agreement between Mindark and EntropiaUniverse participants that must be acknowledged each time the client loader is launched.
..should perhaps also add..

Also known as the Conditions of Use.
Also there are written quite a few EntropiaUniverse - shouldn't it be Entropia Universe (with the space)? :scratch2:

Edit: I just checked and Mindark use the spaced version of the name as well. ;)

you dont need it as you own the forum :D

CC
An abbreviation for "Cape Corinth," a teleporter on north-west Eudoria.

I've never heard anyone use CC for Cape Corinth.

CC has always been Credit Card to me.

Maybe lowercase cc for Credit Card.

Just a thought :eyecrazy:

coolness
Coolness is a skill that affects HA of any weapon type and also gives an extra HP every 400-500 levels approximately.
This skill is unlocked once an avatar reaches a professional standing of 30 in one of the combat professions.

I believe it is lvl 40

ATH
ATH stands for All Time High. This is a list of the 25 highest loots ever in each category of the Hall of Fame. As bigger loots are found, the lowest on the list will get bumped off.

This is no longer true, and also the entries for HOF and Global are most likely wrong but I haven't looked

Thanks for pointing out, I will update with the entries to reflect the extended lists.

This may not be the right place for this... but...

When mentioning an item, I see a lot of people adding "UL" to modify the name.... yes I have done it too. The (L) modifier denotes an item that is limited. So let's all agree that adding "UL" is not needed. In the absence of the (L), by default the item must be UL.

Thats a fair point but it also leaves it for people to assume its UL if it doesnt have the (L) when it could just as easily be that they just neglected to add the (L) or felt it wasnt needed because the price should indicate whether its (L) or not where as if you add UL then it leaves no doubt.
