Just keep posting about it until they give us due action & explanation.
Post it on social network sites too, "inside trading operations, real fraud in mmorpg RCE".
Post it everywhere until the autorities hear it and act on it, or until we see appropriate action here.
 
I havent really followed the whole "fap" issue thingy.
But im guessing you are referring to people all of a sudden looting a bunch of good faps - then selling them quickly in auction?

If so.. this has happened before... To me...
Yes, call me a bastard.. But when hangars just came out and there were like a few items that were super duper rare (the wrench) me and a m8 went hunting Umbranoids... And in the matter of 30 min we looted like 4 - on a new spawn of umbras that hadn't existed before that day.

So. There were our predicament. The item were going for about 1K PEDs because it was so rare, but we had just looted 4 in 30 min. What would you do - be honest. We sold them each at 750 in auction. All were gone in 1 hour.

This could be what has happened here, no?

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the issue, i just came here because someone called my name (often tracker questions are asked in random forums so searching for my name often leads me to threads about ET i had never found otherwise)

Now take your scenario and imagine that you were employed by MA at the time, and knew in advance that the wrenches would be dropping.

Well, to be fair, the most proof we have so far is for "now take our scenario and imagine the umbranoids spawned on a LA you freshly bought".

A scenario of :
  1. LA gets bought
  2. LA owner gets promised nice mobs
  3. a list of nice mobs get requested from MA
  4. special item drops are requested from MA
  5. MA loot balancers looks through list of mobs and assigns loot

Sounds plausible. And the detach between 2 & 5 - that MA assigns loot while PP assign mob locations and they don't necessarily talk to each otehr abot this - gave the chance of a spectacular fuck-up and following PR disaster that has been going on here.

and add to the scenario about a dozen or two dropping an hour.

with the scanners the thing that bothers me (and many i believe) is that a previously crafted item got added to the loot and the numbers were so high. however the system is designed to drop really shouldnt be so many in such a short time frame (Marco has even noted a previous incident of this being one of MA's worst mistakes).

Well, here are some "facts" from DAMgr himself:
(I have the original source from 11/18/10, but can't post it in the forum)

  • Digital Abduction brings major music artists into gaming platforms such as ROCKtropia
  • goal is to synchronize music and gaming industries
  • they manage the relationship between the music artists/labels and Neverdie Studios
  • they currently have one LA with more to come
  • they anticipate a nice flux of players once they begin marketing
  • the new arrival is supposed to be at their LA, tailored to assist new players
  • their first "celebrity" is a hip-hop/rap artist named Juelz Santana
  • no major announcements scheduled until everything is ironed out with LA/marketing
  • his music is available at YouTube
DAMgr is based on the East Coast US, with a partner in California. I've had a direct email address since November, and he had offered to share information about his company and what they do (for a potential article). Perhaps I should now reach out and see if he would be amenable to giving me an exclusive so that he can explain his side of everything. Maybe this would put it all to rest. I'll give it a go.

That would of course be a bad thing. I think we can all agree on that.

However, having this subject examined by appropriate swedish agency to have appropriate actions taken IFF there has been wrongdoings would be appropriate. I think you can also agree to that. Appropriate actions would of course not include shutting down MA, but give appropriate punishment (most likely just fines) to any party or parties found guilty of any wrongdoings.

Should an agency examine the subject and circumstances and find no wrongdoings, even better.

Many customers of MA indeed have substantial amounts of money invested in EU, money they hope to be able to recover (some of) in the future, so obviously it'd be in everyones best interest to keep EU alive. But this fact should be no reason to oppose examination of suspected activities. Quite the contrary.

And I don't want to see MA fail, I just hope the funny business will cease and desist.

That sounds similar to what was explained on TS. I'm thinking some of the other aspects not mentioned there could of been exaggerated.

I wasn't referring to the information given to you that you posted.
There were multiple conversations with that individual on teamspeak with regards to his association with planet partners.
Kinda difficult to sum it all up..

Ha! Just like with every other major fuck-up in this game: we get the most epic surprise buttsecks from MA/PPs last week, and not even one week later, everyone has already calmed down and is back to their compulsive gambling addiction.

No wonder nothing ever gets changes for the better, people will just swallow anything MA/PPs shove down their throat. They may fuss a little at first, but in the end they just accept it. :rolleyes:

Agree with Huskie too sadly. Shame is really the way we turn on each other, when simple truth is if we are still playing, then we all have the same issue, and if we are no longer playing but left the game, we should have no reason to be here yelling anyway. I am as guilty as the next, since I'm still here, always hoping for a better outcome than the day before.

I'm just here in the same voyeuristic way people look at car crashes.

I had a similar response to the events of the last couple of weeks as when my second car got pushed a lamp post by a lorry and written off - first :holyshit: then :laugh:
