Now it's just a rough idea. Since we have space, ships and other planets with outlaws in between, why don't we have a bounty system a la Cowboy Bebop?

......I think that would be cool.

how about an armor attachment that lets us stay alive in space and a weapon or two that lets us shoot back at potential pk'r ship, ofc we would have to be able to repair the smoldering remains of our "spacecraft". Or in my case I will just have to learn to fight and survive. ummm .. can I get like a super laser beam thing for my rusty old vtol?

There could be a special launcher that would allow the launching of the following types of items:
1) Decoys
2) Radar decoys/holographic projectors to throw PKers off.
3) Mines that explodes on contact.
4) Mines that seeks out enemy and explodes on contact.
5) Mines that can shoot at approaching enemies and explode.
6) Some thing that can pull a ship out of "warp" once that has been implemented.
7) Some thing that sends a signal to you, warning you of incoming enemy ships.
8) Tracking device that can be attached to enemy ship to track it down.
9) Other things like those.

4 & 5 would allow a pk'er to flood an area and not even be there to destroy a ship, it would have to be a big area though ;) with 8 they could tag a ship as it leaves a station and not have to follow it into the pvp area then catch up later in a faster ship.

Decoys would be good but only effective for mobs, they would need to resemble the ship they were launched from or they would be pointless. I've seen it used in other games and against people they just don't work, one shot and the decoy is exposed so when close to the target they don't fool anyone.

Personally I'd rather have an afterburner that replaces weapons on a ship.

With other space based combat games you can choose to have more power going to different sections, so you could put it more into engines to outrun or catch an opponent but when you got there your guns wouldn't work. In EU we don't have that as weapons are an optional extra.

I would have to agree with spike,

There isnt enough value from our ships. if you get seen you cant outrun another ship. because there is no options available.

So I would have to say for an Improvement to Space.

1. Customised ship parts ie: Thrusters, Cloaking devices, Decoys, Special weapon types?
2. A Larger Range of Vehicles in the Space worthy Fleet. ie: Local designed ships. at present there is the Mothership and the starfinders.. the VTOL and the QUADS. more variety in design. Perhaps customisable Markings or paint?

AS for the Bounty? I love Cowboy Bebop too Great Music in it.

Isn't a Bounty usually Paid by the Person who Issues the Bounty? If you consider yourself a bounty hunter then I would suggest asking around and finding who has trouble with Pirates attacking them during shipping. Maybe they would be prepared to employ you as a "Hired Gun" on their runs... if you become a target for Pirates it gives a Smuggler a chance to Get away. that has to be worth some coins.
