abuse by pirate using summonfucntion

One idea that im sure is possible but may take some work on MA's part is to make available "loot bombs" that can be carried in inventory . If you get looted in space then the pirate loots the bomb , it goes off, they die and you get all their loot .

Would act as a nice deterrent, and could also make space a bit more polulated.

Love this idea :)

First of all I'm really a noob when it comes to this system around space. ;):silly2:
My guess is that MA don't have to do that much to solve the problem with summonsystem,
let pilot send out a autosummon as now, but with the difference that it just aprove the
player to enter the ship, so the player has to start the actual tp-process instead, with
seperate UI for this.

You are joking here right? I'm not saying you are wrong, but most all replies as of yet have just been the form letters we all get. Support really can't do all that much now since MA is on vacation and I'm guessing that this will not call MA back to work anytime soon -- which yes it should.

Not joking. MA support has responded which is step one. Multiple people who submitted tickets replied to that effect.

The rest of your post is just speculation.

Let's put it this way. I was recently on vacation for two weeks. Between my cell phone and my laptop, I could be at the beach and have had access to everything I have access to in the office. "Vacation" does not mean (at least in tech in the U.S.) that everyone goes into some sort of coma. Hawaii is just as beautiful if you have to log in a few hours remotely and get something sorted out.

So the next question is, have the summons stopped? My soc mates received them on Sat and Sun...none yesterday. If they have stopped, it would be an indicator that some action has been taken (or Windy has not logged in recently).

No, I just received a summons from Windy 10 minutes ago, so MA is being very slow here. :tapfinger

So you're saying since it's summer in Sweden, they all leave on vacation, lock the door and return in September?? :eyecrazy:

ya right.

I guess that answers that question....

That does suck.

I think they've taken the whole of August off before now. They're probably just winding down now.

definately because I have seen someone locked within 30mins after support cases for harrassment, fairly recently

Thats assuming they were in the office during the rest of the year as well...

Geez, I hope they don't have one of their famous "space screw ups" where everyone gets stuck...sure will suck floating around dead until September.

Actually, Jan decided to take the MA programmers to Ark for vacation but Swagger shot them down. Now they are all floating around in space with a UL health bar.

September may be optimistic...

They probably split staff in two groups so one is at work and the other has vacation, and
vice versa when group one is back from vacation. ;)

July is the standard month of vacation, so I guess most them have vacation now and be back in august. But I'm pretty sure not all are on vacation at the same time, they would at least have someones still working to monitoring and keep all system running. And some of the key personal probably are on standby even if they are on "vacation". So doing a ban should be easy to fix when the have all the information they need.

I might as well get this out there before they try it, so you all are pre-warned.

Watch out for random hunting team invites, make sure neither Windy or Goldy is in the team. They might get added to the team towards the end when everyone in the team has loot. its not wise for me to explain more than this, its almost already too obvious ^^

Being in the same profession, never thought my char had many "morals" (not good for business), but if this scam evolves to this next level, then this is where i draw the line on these scumbags. And I see this as the next evolution of their scam, so be forewarned !!

make sure neither Windy or Goldy is in the team
Today Goldy sent me about a dozen friend requests.
I had to disable visibility in Player Register. :scratch2:
But maybe something big coming from MA? Stagger's UL Quad is for sale, Dreadnought is for sale on AH. Although no false hopes

their stuff being for sale could simply be, the wash cycle before the (possible) bans. Its not like this is their first rodeo.

So you're saying since it's summer in Sweden, they all leave on vacation, lock the door and return in September?? :eyecrazy:

Well, more or less yes. Why you think they moved support to Mexico?:scratch2::laugh:

you know this does actually happen in Europe? factories in particular will shutdown for a month.

lol, I never said it doesn't happen. Newsflash...EU is not a factory. ;) EU is a business that's open 24 /7, I find it hard to believe there's not 1 single individual available to take care of things that need taking care of. I'm sure a large chunk including design and executives are mostly off.

To be honest, yea. Probably some guys still in the office to make sure everything runs ok(technically, servers etc).

We Swedes do love our vacation time :D

Best regards
Zweshi

Nothing wrong with that...I think we all have that in common. ;)

Dont worry them avatars and all involved in trades after this gonna get account locked for furter investigation!

So best option is get some distance from them and items they are trying to sell.

The reason that we continuously see an endless supply of {removed} that abuse and exploit the various systems is because MindArk all to often does little to nothing to stop this kind of activity. MA could set a better precedent, thereby reducing the incentive for people to act like this in the future.

Fight fire with fire (atleast till MA fixes it so only people on FL can be added to Summons list):

Every time any MS/Privateer owners see the rats in their quads, click their passenger lists, add them on your own Summons list. Summon them everytime you come into docking zone, and then eject them in space. Shoot them/loot them.

Happy hunting. ;)

Edit: Word of warning, such activities would probably tarnish your own rep, and possibly put your account at risk - should MA ever take any action.... eventually. :)

I would strongly advise the owners of privateers and motherships to not perform this stunt as it would put yourselves at risk of being banned as well....should the pirates decide to SC (support case) you and MA decides to take action upon any and all for doing such a stunt (regardless of their reasons).

This is a bad idea!
Simple only one mistake will leave a stain on your reputation, you also may be banned too after complaints.
In addition, you can discredit other people, who offers transport services. Today is only Windy - tomorrow all ships and their pilots.

Rofl, good one!

Well, i guess if MA has not tken any action for almost a week it's safe to conclude they either not consider it against the rules or are unable to take action for the time being.
Taking a justice in your own hands is always a risky business. Then again, this is what EU is all about, managing the risks. :cowboy:
