It was so hilarious I had a sleipnir and grenades and that grenade launcher is NOT like a laser.

When it became obvious that I literally couldn't hit Varyag with my freaking gun I'm forced to have as the pilot there they actually offered to take me in team and teach me how to shoot at them properly.

I know plenty of, ahhh, shady people in real life and most of them think that in the balance they're good people. Also most of NVE thinking they're using the tools MA gave them to fulfill a role that MA has created for players to fill so adding 'value' to the game.

Still no way I end up a pirate or friendly to people who, given the list of options, decide that thievery is their most comfortable choice.

It's obvious that MA are wholly committed to this dynamic. They've provided all the tools and so some people have decided to pick them up and use them. I have mixed feelings about this aspect of "Reality" in game because the paired aspect (the ability to actually do something about it) is not present in equal amount.

Space Janitor here is getting the point. MA wants us out there throwing money at these guys to stop them from trying to take our money. Space piracy is great for MA, and it's even better for them when we fight back.

I mean with all that said you know space piracy is boring as fuck. Getting angry, crying shouting - maybe wasting some more PED in a firefight that you don't have the avatar skills to do JACK in and blasting out a bunch of madness is a welcome bit of entertainment for them when they are literally working a shift guarding a spawn point for hours at a time.

It's really sick but the best option for protesting this in a way that would harm MA is to take off your guns and never, ever shoot at a pirate or another ship in space. Never enter space with a full SI ship. Never carry loot but if you have to and you get looted, get on with your game. Apply to MA for compensation.

If you don't like it, never, ever ever fight back.

That's how you effectively protest this to the company that is keeping it alive by hitting their bottom line.

It's also fucking pathetic and personally hurtful to lie down like a dog over it. Don't forget how you feel about the pirates, but remember who is equipping, enabling, and encouraging them.

Spacejanitor if you were hit leaving Arkadia, you were looted in a known bug. I repeat 200% apply to MA for compensation. Don't be an asshole to MA support.

It took several months but they did in fact pay me back after a real bug caused me to be looted. I'm not just suggesting you to harass them.

EVERY PERSON LOOTED LEAVING ARKADIA SHOULD DO THIS.

You were looted improperly, entering a situation where the conditions were not what was intended. This is a legitimate support case. I am not recommending that people looted leaving the moon flood them with support cases, but TBH at this time they've yet to clarify whether this was intended or not.

If they do back down and add a safe zone, and just call this all a big misunderstanding (I more thaqn half suspect they will) then those players may have a legitimate case for compensation as well.

I doubt if MA took those peds back from the player that looted me so they paid twice on that one.

Cheers for the backup on this one, I wont forget it. That being said, it hasnt crossed my mind as Mindark is in no way open to be reached by me via their website. I can take my losses , but never tell me not to be bitter about it, I justly hate those who steal from me or anyone else for that matter.

Seriously though, both Arkadia and Her New Moon are under Pirate Blockade at each load-into-space-point, by groups of shift-camping pirates. not only that, Warp-Mines deployed at both locations. Ask anyone whos spotted them whilst dying, I shit you not.

They cause more harm than good Mindark is mistaken greatly. This kind of action impedes the eceonomy, flow of goods and passanger travel in a big way. No pirate can convince the wise that their actions are good for this RCE. They will and do though, very poorly with very twisted tripe. Just like scallywags would.

There is more reason for me to avoid Mindark. Have you ever heard of the expression, "Birds of a feather, flock together."? Ask yourself why Mindark protects, promotes and impliments thieves, robbery, satanism, occultism, etc? Enuf said. I dont need to elaborate or go into this further. But you know as do everyone else. This is a highly "Politically Correct" forum, which makes this a Very Political forum and very biast. Thus I need to be carefull what I type. Already had a strike so.

Well damn you're right there is no "Space Janitor Hotline" link their on the web site. What an oversight on their part - maybe they'll fix it with the next update for you.

You file a support ticket since you're just another plebe customer like the rest of us.

There's a giant link on the web site and an option to do it in game.

Sure, I wholheartedlly agree with your stement myself, but dissagree with your premise that I am some spoiled impatient person. Now bear in mind, I speak from a position of having several open support tickets for a certain amount of Months and counting. Ive long given up and moved on anyway.

Im just not sure if youre jumping to assumptions or delliberatelly trying to put me in a bad light. But whatever the case, youre wrong. Ive been nice to you.

You're clearly not following up on all of the threads where you pretty much just randomly trash talk 90% or more of the entire EU player base? Like today?

What I have found out about pirates (the honest self confessed ones anyway) is that most of them have a good sense of humour - they are killing themselves laughing at all the carry on here :( )


And Atrax, while we are at it, you mentioned hopelessly shooting at the Varyag - you do know the impression you are giving, how about you clarifying it a bit - I did mention that incident to Bas and he apologised to you, even offered to post that apology. So.……………………..!!

Varyag did move to the moon and crew members were firing at pirates, attempting to give travellers some protection, yet there is no mention of this anywhere.

What I have seen though are mentions of Varyag helping the pirates, and of a "notorious" ship (could it have been the Normandie even? {of course it was not - sarcasm here} )


Actually I give up why do I even worry anymore, nothing I am going to do or say will have no effect - I should maybe be like Posthistory (his attitude, not his shitty pirate actions) and just play to suit myself & have fun.

My hand was forced. Thats undeniable. Not just once but many times over. This formed my "attatude" you so greedillly point out. Moreover you point out the "unforgiving' nature of this "Community", which makes me "unconsolable", and thats not going to change anytime soon, as I remain closed off to anyone and everyone. Im okay with it.

Your feelings , not my responsibillity. I am quite content with your faulty perception of me. Realy.

I bet that, all the years you had played this game, more than me, right up to now, you never spent nearly close to the kind of money I have in this platform. In fact I am sure of it.

What Im getting at is this. I am a gamer at heart and have been one even before home PC were a thing. Even did complete walkthroughs on DOS games in Highly secured Millitary PC server rooms, long before Microsoft even existed. Thats why my avatar is called "Spacejanitor".

The point is, I play this game for my own pleasure and I pay my own way with my money. Im not doing it for you, or anyone else. Im not doing this to seek acceptance or aproval. You want me to be my age at 48, sure. Then in light my age and exp level,this being a game and this community being the way it is and how I have been treated from the outset, how the heck can I ever take you or anyone else seriouslly or trust overall??? You behave towards me and treat me with contempt here. But do you realy have the higher moral ground? Realy? You gotto be kidding me.

Throughout history singletons have been singled out and killed, by larger crowds. Yet numbers alone, is no indication whatsoever that the singleton/victim, is actually in the wrong. Certain virtues are worth fighting and dying for. Do you have a cause? Something to stand up for? Virtue? Honour? Do you have it in you, to speak up for Just and Right? Or even do right against the ods? Whats realy worthy and what realy matters?

Defo get on the fun train. You got a lotta spunk but you really need to work on that fuse.

After I was destroyed by the Varyag (showing me notorious reputation) I went back to the planet. I hit the CC and did grind my EP II BP for 100 PED run.

After I returned to space and got shot down and returned to the spawn point again, I did indeed fire several missiles the the notorious aniara class mothership varyag. Mostly whie Bas was ranting on something about his cocknballs and how drunk he was.

Unless you're willing to stand up and take responsibility and morally support every person who ever spent a minute on the Varyag regardless of the situation, or endlessly call people out then you should consider less of attacking random people for other people's actions.

So by your standards I seem to probably have a legit beef with you, for supporting Bas and the Varyag in shooting down a player who has honestly never once shot down a ship in space?

You understand, I literally had to go make bullets before I could shoot back.

I'd suggest you tone it down a little is all. I had a great laugh over it and him asking who the hell he just shot down and I don't mind a little PVP. Right now I'm more bothered by your attack than wat Bas did.

I was shot down probably 8 - 10 times that night and scored exactly two hits on other ships.

Varyag was not one of them.

You're missing the thrust of the story, but no real matter.

Bas didn't even shoot me when I spawned. I was just sitting there parked and he shot me out of the sky.

Varyag shot me down once. I went and got some missiles and fired a couple of shots at varyag. And at two or three of the pirates there.

The whole time there was a lot of joking and other trash talking on, and I'm not sure what got you on a crusade.

There was one dude on the Varyag. He was obviously either intoxicated or crazy ;) This is where we differ so watch this:

IDGAF what ship he was on. I don't have any beef with Yoshi, and I don't think I've ever really spoken with you until today. And that's been an up and down adventure lol.

I sent you another PM on ark forum.

You want to be my first space nemesis? We can get t-shirts or something. But you have to call yourself a "space combatant" or I won't do it.
 
"Ernest" & "Global" are currently killing everyone immediatelly loading into Space from Planet arkadia. They must be on duty at the moment.

So...I drummed up a small squad and we moved out to ruin some pirates day at the New Moon. We got ready and manned the cannons. The "Rocinante" Starfinder XIII, ready and able for battle. Armamment III device. Decent SI.

We knew its a suicide mission, but if we could skill our heavy cannons skills and get in some shots, its worth it. I took the helm and we flew into battle. Soon as i spotted the wing of three, I parked the "Roci"at optimum position and took a cannon myself.

Now this ordeal took us , that lasted a lifetime. Them flying in and out of range and taking pot shots. We did get in some good shots but no kills.

But what makes this mission a success for us....is the fact that in the corner of my eye and a few times, I spotted collonists making runs for the moon and actually making it:) Cos we distracted them enough, to miss out on some kills. And that my friends, makes this a good day. Funny how theyre engaged and move off after a runner and then missing the runner and comming back for more of us :) Love it :)

We studies computers in school and we used MS-DOS commands to build simple games on cumputers with strict green text on a black background and Im born alot later then him ;)

But if it's Windows 1 in 1985, since he said "long time before", then he was probably more like 5/6 years old... It makes more sense then.. :rolleyes:

Gz Spacejanitor for taking on the pirates. it would be good if more players would do the same if they had the skills ability (and peds).
At least it will show them they do not have things all their own way.

I am focusing on actions rather than talk back & forth

I keep both guns on my quad because they absorb a few points of damage which would otherwise go to the ship, and their market value is much lower than that of a quad. Otherwise, yep, that's how to do it.

... yea true I keep my quad at full SI for the crafting skills, yea true it's probably a stupid thing to do but w/e it's a game and I'm having fun... or would be if the total number of quads on the market were higher.
 
I am laughing my sweet patootie off over here at the history of MS-DOS, "MicroSoft Disk Operating System". Perhaps these kiddies were using DCL (the command language of VAXen), which might have actually been used in pre-Microsoft military applications? DOS is pretty much a ripoff of DCL anyway.
So yea, my mind is interpreting what was said with "long before Windows 2000".
 
Those pirates taking advantage of bug are the worst.

I wasn't looted as i don't go with loot in space and was aware of the problem, but yeah that "global" killed us directly when we leave moon and then arkadia before even space can load.

I had already low estime of those cheap thief before that, but now i can say that they're big piece of s**t.

Thanks to Spacejanitor to point other name out. I really want to know each pirates that use this bug abuse, and will keep them on a special note for future :)

In the other hand i would be dissapointed MA don't take sanction with the abuses. Pirates even said me isn't abuse is wanted like that by MA. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

That quote says being spawned into PVP when leaving Planet Arkadia is not intended. However, it doesn't say anything about being spawned into PVP when leaving Arkadia Moon. What does that imply?

Sadly sloth used to be better than this but apparently he decided over the last year to steal from others. When he took a shot at me, I removed him from FL. Just like every other pirate, you just lose peds shooting at me but others fill them up.

Mindark won't do anything to the pirates taking advantage of this. If they were, they would have done something about it already.
 
Last time similar issue cropped up when Toulan was launched and i am told the pirates received in game notification that they are not supposed to engage in any such activity due to the bug. Seems surprising that there has been no such notification from MA this time around. Leaving arkadia is definitely bugged so I would think they would be more proactive about this.

Agreed. I strongly feel that a group of exploiters are efectivelly ruining the launch of the new Moon and ruining game play for everyone else at Arkadia and at the Moon. In fact its so bad its overkill. It actually looks like a RL South African protest against the system and state. but the people suffer not the state or game-host.

If this game-provider actually cared, a bunch of pirate accounts would be locked right now pending perm-bans due to exploiting violations. These exploiting pirates are ruining the game plaform and begs for action!!!

Starfinder XXXI is also a Pirate ship parking and shooting peops leaving Arkadia. As I warped out to cally, I saw her moving towards station Ark. This time they failed killing me leaving ark. I flew eratic making sure theres no pattern in my movements. I was chased by starfinder cannonfire, but limped all the way back to station safelly. One more hit wouldve killed me. It was close. At station I repaired my Quad and entered my Starfinder XIII and move out to warp to Caly.


PIRATES! YOURE IN TROUBLE. I AM ABOUT TO PURCHASE A FIREBIRD. AND I AM COMMING FOR YOU!!!!!

YES I AM SPENDING 5000 EUROS, COS I HATE YOU THAT MUCH.


( BIG CHEERING AT MINDARK OFFICE AND YOLARRING COS THEIR BIG SCAM WORKED. But youre milking dry just a handfull with real cash, on your platform. How long will we last?)

But you do have to know, they are organized in a society. So, alone you will lose.

When will you start your counter organization?

More like the cleanup-crew. Nah we are Arkadian Roughnecks and I have the crew orgenized. You seem to be sharp on ideas and stuff. Join me ! And shoot straight.
