Waiting for boss mob during wave events

it seems your video isn't speaking to me, not seeing anything odd?

You better get your facts straight before you point a cheating finger to any sof member......

We in SOF take cheating very seriously. And you slandering our soc name with no proof at all is beyond my common sense.

i dont care about eula. there are 2 guys taking all the event and 10 guys just the boss if that is fair on your "book" then maybe u have been raised in the jungle
 
Maybe you should take out a bigger gun instead of telling people they cheat here in public...:wise:

They don't event shoot on that video, how can we know they weren't just resting there.

u need to go there and check it out. they join the event then climb the hill and wait until boss arive. i would say that they are there just for the tokens same as any other players . but instead of playing the event they ... lets say avoid him. i call that CHEAT
 
but maybe they are just allowing others to get the maffoid mission points.... duh !!

how kind they can be HEROS!!!!
 
ive quit the event cuz i wake up shooting last wave with one player only. and there they are on the hill just waiting for me to finish so i can get them the mob. clear enought for all?
 
well if no one shoots i guess they will have to go shoot too if they want the boss right ?

While I personally stopped participating in the maff wave exactly for this reason, someone on the forum recently posted that a response from support called such actions "smart tactics", so not cheating.

Also, even if this where happening, its not that bad, as one has to tank the mob.
 
u ppl are so good for finding excuses :)) sure, let`s call it smart action.. is full of smart people ... but what if all the players from the event become smart? who finish the event and how can i stop others from " being smart" ????? if i do a mob train i am smart too?
 
Cheat? Heh no, not even close. Just to reiterate this game is not, and never has been "fair". To expect fairness from a casino is just silliness.

That being said, is it a d-bag move? Sure it is.

that will never be done.
 
Yes, joining a wave event and waiting until the boss mob arrives may seem rude. However, truth is, there's no way for MA to keep that from happening.

So here's a nice way to counter it: Bring ~10 of your best friends with their biggest guns and out damage them. :handgun: You + friends split the majority of the loot and they are left with what's left.

Then perhaps they bring their friends, and now it's a race. But you still left them in no doubt that their tactics will be fought against.

Just because MA allows it doesn't make it right, i can understand the frustration you are experiencing trying to bring across to your fellow Entropia participants.

ps. it isn't cheating but politeness goes a long way.

pps. ppl need to read descriptions and watch the actual video posted, some reply's make no sense at all.

The solution clearly is using a special, modified loot rule on the boss, one that takes both damage during waves and damage to the boss into account. But its a low(is) level problem, so I don't really expect a solution any time soon. The same happens on other shared loot mobs as well, not just Maffoids, of course.

I do not see anything special about their actions. The same pattern was observed for Sand King Event. Simply there is less noticeable.
If you do not want to do all the dirty work, you can not participate or wait for the end. Because the only solution in this case - if the MA change event rules.
This is not exploit or cheat...
Ask yourself - maybe their guns is too big for first 5 waves? :laugh:
 
Yeah, the original OP wasn't that clear ...

As one of those shooting throughout the waves, can say that personnaly I din't mind the 2-5 constant freeloaders waiting for the boss mob ... but that was mainly cause was doing the maffo mission and I can easily take on the waves and boss without dying, guess it can be annoying for a lower level player to struggle through the waves while others wait for the final mob :(

I'd also not blame them (the freeloaders), but MA/PC design and implementation ... agree is not technically cheating but we all know is pushing the intended boundaries a bit :laugh: ... is basically "farming" - like oil rig was in the past for high skills/gear/pvp, nowdays we have more options it seems - one other example would be CP cave 5 pvp area...

In the end is up to MA defining "smart play" vs "exploiting" as is to be expected that some shall try to take advantage of game mechanics more than others :) ... nevertheless this can lead to annoying situations for other players. Some1 stated quite good : EU is not fair :wise: ... live with it :(

Kudos however for the OP ... better to make this public, however be cautious with cheating/exploiting accusations in future ...
 
Make it pvp!

Or stop shooting, fail the wave and restart... Unless the boss is all that you are interested in then join the selfish people on the hill
 
Indeed a rude behavior if it is done over and over again. If they are AFK it can be ok to park avarta on the hill.

if they continue doing this I take on the child hat and mob train them.

no doubt it's rude to repeatable do boss mob only.

best thing ma can do is to make area outside the event pvp.

i have seen this behavior from cccp before but sad to see sof doing this.

Just stop shooting the 5 fisrt waves... maybe If boss dont spawn, they will help to clean...

Thtas why I stopped event... I noticed the exact same guy...

But lest make it clear : Its not cheating or scam or whatever, its just a stupid selfish asshole.

Yes many will be good at finding bs ass excuses to be cheap and ruin others gameplay. And your question what if all become smart.. Then SandKing shit happens. Meaning so many people got tired of the cheap ass leaches who just hawk till last wave or 2, they just stop getting groups together to do the event at all. Its a shame really. Then again it is MA's dumb ass fault for how they setup shared loot distribution and the fact they still put items instead of all stackables.

No that don't work and we both know it. It doesn't matter how much dps your doing on shared loot mob items can go to anyone who delt dmg and bringing 10 of your friends just lowers your cost, this don't affect that person shooting from afar.

Truth is MA can prevent it from happening. Wave's should have tallied dmg just like within the instances, no reason that cant activate while in shared loot area. Then loot is based on a per mob dmg done, number of mobs and time in waves or number of waves done within that specific event.

After an event is over boss killed/failed event, that status resets for all. So just saying MA cant do anything about it is pure bs.

It don't help to stop the waves when your wanting to kill the boss yourself.
Problem is 2 fold, many players are rude and have no manners/MA writes fucked up code.(we all know it only takes a few shots on a shared mob to get the item if one drops)
