A profession level requirement will be introduced for non-(L) armors. Meeting the required level results in the armor offering full protection at all condition values. If the profession requirement is not met, armor works as before, with protection decreasing relative to condition.
so, when does this armor level requirement thing start?

Why you reminding them? Careful what you wish for. What is it good for? ABSOLUTELY nothing! :ahh: With any new change comes potential for new NERF.

only if it's coupled with some benefit balancing it. e.g. armour decay is 10% less than right now if you meet the level requirement

also, what profession? what skills? wearing armour doesn't give you any skill. they would have to put that in too. light armour mastery, medium armour mastery and such

fixed that for ya :beerchug:

Just... don't...

it would maybe be a cool thing if implemented right,

but seeing how VU's work nowadays it would probably just make us unable to equip any armor, or make us equip it but it doesn't protect us..

or equip it and it gets sucked up to Uranus and starts orbiting it until a fix is implemented

Supposedly, what would happen is how unlimited armor is affected. If I remember right they said it would not change how it currently works if you do not have the skill to use it, but if you had the skill it would prevent the damage it defends against from decaying as TT decays, the same way Limited armor does not decay in defense values. So with the required level unlimited armor would work like limited armor in that sense, and without the skill nothing changes.

Benefit is as noted by mindark... it would make unlimited armor have same benefit L has now so it protect at max still even at 3.1 percent t.t. value

What's it good for? It says right there "Meeting the required level results in the armor offering full protection at all condition values." That's a pretty nice perk of not needing to have the overhead of fully repaired armor all the time for max protection.

Also to answer the OP question - I'd say it will be done right after they implement the avatar statues and the promised expansions to space, housing, gardening...etc.

So... any day now

Yeah and MA have a good track record with their promises and deliver exactly as promised.
Most likely if they add this will be added With a nerf, when have they ever added a new feature that doesn’t benefit them in some way?
