Greetings all,

Screenshots of your globals and HoFs should be posted in this thread. This will be used to confirm your scores. At the end of each hunt, the Judges will be able to give you a score. If you disagree with it, post screenies to back it up. At a minimum, each team should be designating someone to take screenshots of all scores.

This part is important... there may be a time when a Judge either cannot login or is having technical troubles. This has happened before, so let's clarify how things should go:

If during the qualifiers (Stage 1, 2, and Stages 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3) just continue as if we are there. Use the MA clock to start yourselves and stop yourselves. In this scenario, each screenshot needs to include the time in the chat window. No other way to show you hunted for 3 hours ;) In addition, get a screenshot of the Main Team at the Start Point at the correct time, and another at the conclusion of the hunt back at the Start Point within 10 minutes of the hunt ending. Fairly simple.

Same thing should happen during Match Play (2 teams hunting against each other). If the other team does not show up, just continue as if they did. Worry about YOUR score, not theirs.

The understanding is this: Scores are announced at the end of each hunt. If a team agrees with the score announced, no need for screenshots. If there is a dispute, we would need to see screenshots to make a correction to the score. These screenshots must include the score in the chat and show the time and the team as well. Always a good idea to screenshot all scores, and a great idea to have someone tracking the score (besides the judge) during the hunt. Some teams have someone standing right there with us judges to confirm all scores. That approach eliminates the need for screenshots, but this area exists just in case.
 
Team Finland Main, Stage 4.1:



Based on my quick calculation, this adds up to 200 points without bonuses. Then, as confirmed from Hurrikane during the round, we got sweep, so bonuses for main variety 50 points, support variety 25 points and sweep 75 points. Then, add bonus mob, 25 points. Then, support teams (here I will have to rely on tracker information):
support #14 - 3 points (plus the bonus mob) http://www.entropiatracker.com/player.asp?mode=viewPlayer&PlayerID=136896

So total for this would be 428 points unless I made a typing error into my calculator. However, do check the support scores, I don't have screenshots for those. In any case, we seemed to miss all of our support's global scores excluding the bonus mob from our announced score.

This is why we say the scores are unconfirmed:)

It was a very busy round, in my defence:)

Currently looking at a score for Finland of 457. We'll check the chat logs and the Warsheet will reflect this.

I spoke too soon... but I can admit where it all went wrong so bear with me.

After PMing back and forth with Mack, I could see there was something wrong somewhere. Mack had one score for USA and I had something different. We are pretty much close by so we talked on the phone and viola!! Found the problem.

The Excel spreadsheet we use for scoring and tabulating has an upper section for mob totals (globals) and PED totals. There were 7 Hogglo globals by Team USA... but the Excel only counted 6. The formula was not altered. My Excel file has 13 tabs: 1 for each team in Stage 4 and the 13th is for totals for the Stage. No other workbook in the file had that problem, so it is a mystery. But like all good mysteries, this one was solved.

RAW TOTALS:

USA - 594
DACH - 577

Add in the +15 for high loot to DACH and we get:

USA - 594
DACH - 592

Winner = USA by 2 points.

USA - 694
DACH - 592

I do sincerely apologize for this drama and for any mental/emotional instabilities that result from it. This was not a result of too many teams, too many globals, etc. It was an error that I will claim as my own because... simply put... I should have noticed that.

The OP in the WarSheet Thread is updated with the corrected scores and we will get a replacement "pretty one" up as soon as we can. I've said it before: We strive to get it right. Now it is.

Why Mack? Couldn´t it be another judge? Mack is in team USA right? I trust in RJ and Hurrikane but this should be doublechecked again, by screenies and the tracker log, not by judges fighting for team USA (Mack) or DACH (Jamira). Sorry but i dont believe in mysteries and i ask to doublecheck it all again!

On Strykers pics i only counted six hogglos, one of his screens shows nothing though, this one here:

it not even has a timestamp, and loots you can see on the screen do not indicate anything near global size either. Screenie or it didnt happen, btw same goes for us, we have also one of those screenies where you can see nothing on it.

Well i hate to say but now we got a dispute! And i want it to be settled by a judge that is not from USA, Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
 
Would like to ask, are the "raw data", the excel or whatever format the judges uses of the globals available anywhere for download and check?

it does for sure! But the 7th Hogglo is fact according to the tracker. Today we will make the math, accept the results no matter what it is, and simply go on! We are not beaten yet!

I don't think it is appropriate to call anything "fishy" here. Once we got the excel sheets the judges used it shouldn't be too hard to verify?

As I said before: I hate to lose vs. USA. But I hate it too to see my colleagues from the judge team in any twilight.

One last word from a member of team DACH and judge.

Some folks sent me their chat log (four in total).
Two of them are from our competitors. I decided to start with these foreign "enemy" logfiles to make my own score sheet.

Results:
Attempt #1: USA 594, DACH 577+15 (loot bonus)=592
Attempt #2: USA 594, DACH 577+15 (loot bonus)=592

Thank you to my team mates who sent their logfiles too. But I decided to stop after this two attempts. ;)

Now let the show go on

I stated at the bottom of the post that I uploaded EVERY screen I had from the event, and that 1 of them was of support, just thrown in. That is the "fishy" one I believe you are referring to.

We accepted the inital defeat and began to plan for the coming match, when the score change was realized. Do you really think we or the judges would actively try to cheat you out of a round? :scratch2:

Sorry Shurkamp, but that post of yours is uncalled for.

Many of the Judges are involved with active teams. Being a member of a team does in no way affect the verified outcome of the scores.

I trust Hurrikane and Rayne Jade to go through the available evidence, both on the day, and during the following scrutiny of the logs/screenshots etc to arrive at the correct score. And if any team has an issue with their score, then provide screenies to prove it. Along with the likes of the input from Mack, Jamira, Kaitlyn etc etc "on the day" I am damn sure that fairness prevails and the correct result announced.

As judges, we simply care too much about WoF to play silly buggers.

I understand this was a close match. But calling out a Judge such as Mack is uncalled for.
 
Appreciate the vote of confidence Spike, no worries. I know most won't ever understand what really goes into judging WOF until they come out and do it for a few rounds themselves. And I understand there is a lot of frustration behind a lot of the posts as well, so just gotta let stuff roll off. Matter is settled now so let's all just move ahead to next round and the exciting finish to Stage 4....nothing is settled until the fat lady sings after the close of the final match. 6 teams move on and this is looking like it will be the most exciting semi and finals yet. There are no clear favorites, this is very much anybodies championship to be taken.

i got +reped from one of your supporters with the following text: for being gracious about losing when you were told you won. not everyone on our team would act so well.

i +reped him back with the text: no, actually we went berserk for 6 hours when you were asleep

as you can imagine emotions ran high after the third and definite scores. There wasnt any sugar in the way it was presented, so this morning coffee was a really bitter one for us. shit happens

well there is no doubt anylonger about integrity of the juges Team on my side

but after such confusion (3 different results ind 2 days) it was nessesary to rise the presure a littel

i think that helped a littel to do fast and intens controlling - so we have now a score where we lost with 2 points - but after this intense research which was done in last days we can life with the results und can be 100% shure that the result is correct.

Getting back to the purpose of this thread... screenshots.

Some things to remember, guys and gals:

- Include the time stamp in the chat window
- Do not have your inventory blocking the view of the team

One of the main reasons to do checks like this is to ensure only those hunters listed on the 12-man roster are on the Main Team. Blocking the team interface with the inventory pretty much prevents verification.

I do understand keys can be hit in the heat of the moment... especially if you are capturing screenshots manually. Either relocate the Inventory or the Team interface so that next time it opens, it will be somewhere else than the default place.
