Anti-Pirate comments

To the OP I can certainly appreciate what you were trying to point out to the people on this forum.

Being pirate and having dealt with most of these people for years I have learned an interesting dynamic when it comes to communities/societies/large groups. In societies there will always be a smaller group within the larger group that is deemed the "worst" of that group, these are the "scum" in the society.

These are the people that everyone can agree for the most part that they don't like. It doesn't even really matter if the reasons are principled or not, someone has to be the worst.

The problem that arises from this, at least it's a problem for those in the group considered the worst, is that there will be bad individuals from the larger group who's actions are far worse then those considered to be the scum. But because these bad people are not in the smaller group they're still not considered as bad as the "scum".

So basically what you have is the ability for anyone in the community to be as horrible as they want and still feel OK or justified with their actions because they can say "it's OK it's just one of those ________ people" or "at least I'm not as bad as one of those _________ scum bags".

" consummate thief " hmmmm so what do you call people dumb enuf to bring loot in lootable pvp, or to cheap to take a warp. I wonder??:scratch2::scratch2::scratch2:

I am putting my opinion out just like you. If you could type better and actually get a message across I wouldn't have to assume what you are talking about. But that is aside the point.

It should be "beside" not "aside".

Learn to English yourself.

No, both are actually correct.

əˈsīd/Submit

"he pushed his plate aside"
synonyms: to one side, to the side, on one side; More
noun

synonyms: whispered remark, confidential remark, stage whisper; More
2.
a remark that is not directly related to the main topic of discussion.
"the recipe book has little asides about the importance of home and family"

Man all of you are so blind to everything, you see that someone is a pirate and you don't even read what they say and rage at them. The anti-pirate people on this forum are 100% worse than the pirates or anything else.

I mean seriously, they loot you in PVP space so you don't care about them as humans or what they say?

I don't have a side on either side of this, but god damn you people are toxic. The Anti-Pirate people are way worse then the pirate or pro-pirate people. Just blind hatred and foulness coming out of their mouths.

Try to be just a little more civil. I don't care if it's Hitler you're talking to. I don't want to read it all the time.
Forum has been 'that way' for a long time, not just with pirates...

Anyone remember MMA Bigshow?

There is not agreement on who / what is a pirate.
Some players cause a great deal more harm then pirates. Ethics cannot be legislated so we must accept and move on.
The warpships where players can log off are not worth anything without the threat of pvp space.
A significant amount of space pvp is done by NVE society players who self declare as being pirates. Thus NVE pirates have key role to play in maintaining value of warpships.
There are significant fraction of space travelling players that are attracted to excitement and risk of pvp space. It is a game of "smuggling". You sneak past the pirates and then boast about how much loot the pirates did not get. Have never played it myself but to read the space chat many people particularly enjoy this game.
Pirates have willing customers buying their loot. I used to tell people back in the day when I fought the pirates "dont buy anything from pirates!". I was cheerily ignored and people bought things from pirates as fast as they could loot players to supply the demand for the cheaper goods.
One day I saw my first Booth that I bought for sale in auction owned by a pirate. When in Rome...
Pirates are integral to the economy.
Given that pvp players contribute to the game and are integral to it I for one believe they have right to their voice and their words. Many will disagree with me but pvp4 looters and those doing it in space are same to me. I did not always think so until one day I realized that I never do mining or hunting in pvp4 just like I do not do hunting or carry loot in space.

the thing is i havent seen a thread about someone complaining he got looted by a pirate for a very long time now. but i see threads from pirates and pirate supporters crying about this or that all the fucking time now. The anti pirate people pretty much got over it and stopped this bullshit and the pirates just woke up and started realizing that people hate em for being the bad guys. This insight comes kinda late.
I wonder why the pirates cant just accept their fate of their chosen profession, get over it and continue with their business. All these threads just make you look like foolish and crying little children. YOU drove your attitude across space and made it a "no-rules" area. YOU threw away all the ethics. and now you wonder why the community does the same to you? this is just ridicolous.

I think you're getting the thread wrong, I am not a pirate not am I wondering why the community is like this.

and still you are making this ridicolous useless thread. if you know everything already why you care at all? you know you wont change anyone and you stated that you know everything else about this issue anyway already so this whole threads purpose is a cry for attention.

I don't think people are blaming ''pirates''... If I get killed and looted in pvp while mining or hunting, I know its my own fault and it even makes me laugh, some times I have chat with PK'er after revival. Anyway whenever I am in space I carry nothing lootable except for 1 ''Dung'', I use sleipner to fly and most of the times when I do get killed I get angry not because I might get looted, but they are just wasting my time and some douche pirate kills one more time after I fix my ship. So to all Pirates - Good to hear you have a hobby and a profession, but please keep in mind you are wasting time for others and even looting, which will not make people happy at any time, so expect some harsh words and stop crying about it.

Pirating is part of game. If it was not, it would of been removed.

Temp banning pirates who troll motherships is another issue and I agree to it.

5-7 peds for a warp on scheule its to much ..lets carry 1000 peds+ in a quad in lootable pvp... Entropia logic

no toxic

there will be no toxic anti pirate people if there will be no cheats, exploits and bugs in space!

Because you and Goldy both owned that booth I used to assume you were one of his alt avatars.

There seems to be confusion here.
1. Pirates are supposed to be accountable for their actions but not players who are as bad or even worse. Well that seems strange to me.

2. Everyone expressing their views seems to be conflated with "we have to agree with them". No we do not have to accept anything the point is everyone gets to talk about it. We do not have to agree with each other.

3. Keep reading the refrain "useless thread" and it would in my opinion be more accurate to say "I wish this would be declared a useless thread because I do not agree with having civil discussions with people I call pirates".

Piracy is a choice.
If you choose to be a pirate, you choose to loose respect (from many)

I will never trust the word of, or listen to complaints from, someone who choose to be a Pirate.

Case closed.

If pirates would drop loot or pirate players would lose a lot more in TT value, we could see some pirate/bounty hunters.
Or at least be of interest to escort or guard traders and motherships.

The only things pirate are losing is some small decay on ship, on ammo and time. All small things.
There needs to be more risk for the pirate too..

Don't want to hijack this thread so you should post this in the space channel so I can ask you more about this idea of yours.

Let's just wait for the new space update and hope it fixes the griefing issue while keep the pvp intact :)

As long as space doesn't have an opt out option for those unarmed-and-without-loot then space pvp will stay the same long term.

But every year MA releases a "road map" that says hey we're working on space ASAP!
workingonsupportticket.jpg

Yet that space "Update" is gets announced year after year after year in "road maps".
And after just how many years later, everyone is still...

So the real cause/blame of space-pvp problems and support tickets isn't other players.
Its MindArk... :poke:

Sorry if it seems off topic OP but if we all want to vent and yell and point fingers and blame someone...
Then lets all yell at those truly responsible, because they ain't doing jack until they get flooded with complaints and awkward questions.
But will any big money ubers actually write MA much less call them or even just send in a support ticket???
Nope I doubt it very much.
:twocents:

The space update will be better than what we have.

Because let's face it, for the majority, what we have right now doesn't work.

Chance - you are full of it, most people don't like the pirating, you sound like a so-called president.
That it why there are so many people in space - because everyone loves it.

So to all the haters out there, I give you a big....

2 things I've noticed about pirates:

  • They think 95% of the playerbase like them.
  • They think they are generous and helpful individuals.

Both very wrong, and hiding as Count Vamp or The Big Pumpkin & killing new players at Boreas wont change my opinion on this.

Neither will your 'expressive' animation for that matter.

Your very much part of the problem (5%).
(FYI ive GIVEN AWAY well over 5k peds in stuff to players, been doing this for years - never gloated about it or went around telling people publicly)
Kittyfire is a very good friend of mine, you should prob take her off your list also.

Yeah right, 5 people are stopping 1000's from enjoying space ... wake up dude
Space has been dead for years, its shitty, who wants to hunt for 40% returns.
Game has been dead since 2008-2009... you cant blame anyone but MA for this.

But sure, pirates are the easy scapegoat !! :)

So you're saying you are Robin Hood now? Stealing from the new players to give away to .... who exactly? 'Not new' players most likely. That's assuming I believe you've given 5k Ped away, I've not seen any evidence of this.

It's not 5 people, Nebula Virus Elite consists of 59 people. How many are active, I have no idea. Nor do I care.

Space has been half implemented for about 5 years and no one wants to see Pirates face repercussions for their actions in space more than me.

I did play Eve Online for a year, but unfortunately there is no:

  1. Concord (police ships) that will destroy your ship after attacking someone elses
  2. Turrets on the space stations in Entropia - stopping or restricting where you can land
  3. Reputation damage that will eventually block you from entering 'nice' locations - for example Boreas. ;)

When and if there is, then we will see who loves the YARRR lifestyle and who doesn't.

At the moment you have it all your own way and it needs to change and hopefully 2017 may be the year it does.

You dont know me personally.
I dont represent the rest of my Soc.
There is rarely more than 5 active pirates in space at one time.
Do you ever speak from experience ? or just hearsay ?

You abuse pirates in public chat in game.
You come to planet chat rooms to speak shit of players who pirate - for no obvious reason other than to try to troll
Your super butthurt about pirates lately, why else would you take good friends off your contact list for?!?! :D This is really fkn sad dude, what are you ?? in highschool ? hahahaha

I talk with people from NBK and AOE - both socs I cannot stand, but there is good people in them both... Im mature enough to look past the soc and realize that everyone is different - its a pity you cannot.

Ive said to others and ill say it to you, im done with space for now, when / if it gets updated and log off removed I will be back up there. I have better things to do with my time lately - in and out of game.

I think you should get over it dude :)
Perhaps you need a life... a real life life ... you know, turn off the computer, go out into the real world, catch some sun ! :)

hahahhahhah :)
Really so cute mate :)
What you thinks gonna happen to pirates now ? :D

Almost as cute as your fascination with pirates of late :)
I have to give it to you tho, if it wasn't for you and the other 5% nobody would know/care about the pirates :)

Gotcha! xxxx

I more often than not will give them a portion back if theyre cool about it....

95% of the community is PERFECTLY FINE with pirating

Gee wonder if there is some sort of correlation here :wise:

You and your soc are the scummiest of the scummiest, and have caused thousands of new but ignorant players to rage quit the game and spread bad word of mouth across the internet. This robin hood complex you seem to have is idiotic and quite telling of the ego you and other nve members have.

ProTip: You are only in game to make MA money. Nobody likes you and MA only overlooks your transgressions because they have no idea how to add value to MS without you.
