There is really so much they could do with the society system that could energize the game. It's a shame they don't pursue it.

It was this date you created it. Must be celebrated somehow, right?
These are great ideas. Strong Societies are great for player retention.
For me, the most interesting would be
- Cap the size of society to maximum 30 people (Variaty of societies competing against each other)
- Ranking Tree of societies in different stats (Variaty of stats to fight for)
- Deleting inactive societies (Too many dead socs, which looks bad anyways)
Maybe it would be fun - having Land Grabs (or some other competitions) based on HP

Until MA brings itsself to overhaul the prehistoric society system (unchanged since VU 5.5, 2004-Feb-17!!!) we have to help ourselves.
