You can choose up to 2 answers from the list below:

1. Deployment of Unreal Engine 5 for Entropia
As has been announced recently, MindArk has made the decision to port Entropia over to UE5. If you pick this answer, you are basically saying they should put their main focus on this and forget about anything else for now so that the new Engine can be deployed for Entropia asap.

2. Space Transport Missions and other Space Content
This is something that was promised long ago by MindArk and it is something that should bring about more and new opportunities for the players. Do you think that Space is where MA should concentrate their efforts?

3. Land Plot development
A system introduced I think about 6 years ago which sadly is just sitting there without any further development since. This system could be used to create opportunities for players but has been abandonned by MA for the time being apparently. Do you think they should concentrate more effort on this now?

4. Work on Robot Beacons and other hunting Content
As was alluded to, MA is planning on bringing Robot Beacons back to their former glory after release of the RDI Lab Sector C1. Do you think this is where their main efforts should be directed.

5. New Mayhem Event system release
As was alluded to twice now since the last AMA, MindArk is working on a new Mayhem Event system. Should this be the top priority?

6. Fixing broken loot, balancing and other issues with the Economy
Many people have complained in the past about balancing issues, broken loot (things no longer dropping), and other Economy related issues. Is doing something about this what should be MindArk's top priority?

7. User Interfaces & other functionality improvements (Society, Auction, etc ...)
As we all know, MA is currently working on new User Interfaces for Entropia. The focus of this was their appearance, to make them more consistant, but they are also working on introducing added functionality to some of them. Should User Interfaces be their top priority?

8. Affiliate pgm and Marketing/Advertising the game to bring in more players
Should bringing in new players be their primary focus right now?

Remember, you can choose up to 2 answers.

It would be helpful I think if you can take a few minutes to explain your choice in the poll.

9. Next time they get caught cheating they get a 12 month ban.
Yeah I'm only allowed 8 choices in this new forum, I miss the old forum where you could do as many as 20

Some other choices I would have liked to include:

- PvP
- Overhauling Mining

Would like to said, farting in the wind, but my answer will be removed, so i will say Gold dust in my eyes is my impression of MA. In the 21st century, glossy is sold instead of content, and in very rare cases both. What MA does is just statements... nothing. You can add it, I would only vote for that.

If I have to be serious, I think the economy of the game should be different then its current state. This is the main reason in this game to have few people who play it and more gamblers who leave it in a month.

There is nothing wrong with the current economy of the game. The problem right now is that we have had a lot f mid-high range players come back and not enogh new players

"fixing broken things/balancing issues with the economy"

this is 100% subjective and arguably is something that will constantly need addressing as new content is released or a new game meta unfolds, etc....

having this option in the poll is pretty much ruins it. you should have just put "bug fixes/broken missions"

Actually I think it's perfect that way because we get to see just how this, something that the playerbase has been very vocal about over many years, really stacks up now in the face of this UE5 thing... If UE5 comes out way ahead, then we know that the majority of people are truly excited about it. If Fixing broken loot/balancing leads, then there may be a cause for re-evaluation of their priorities...

Plus, this poll, if nothing else, hopefully will get people to really consider this question, honestly, even if just for a moment, I think it's a good excercise. We are quick to complain, but when it comes to actually figuring out a solution, you just get a lot of crickets. So I'm curious to see just how many people will actually take the time and come up with an answer.

new game implementation needs to be highest priority because all that other stuff ain't gonna matter if it's all broke when the new game engine gets here. Still have horrible memories of vu10.... when Cryengine came along and broke everything. Mindark's promise via Justin still hasn't come about...

There will also be an upgrade to the booths in the near future ;)

Hell, Mindark's promises via Marco still aren't here yet either...

Will there be more shops available at places like Genesis, Omegaton, Sakura?
Submitted by Violet

Yes.

That promise for more shops, etc. was made in 2007. To date, now in 2021 Omegaton, Sakura, and Genesis all still have a lot of shops that have never been sold! 14+ year broken promise. I think they are working on a new guiness book of world record...

Voted #1

With the development of a new engine, a large portion of suggested work will need to be re-coded upon adoption of UE5. Doing work twice is not a good use of a persons time.

As stated by MA the new engine will allow for faster deployment of additional features, tweaks etc.

Definitely new engine, then fixing beacons!

NOT The New Engine , No Economy No Future Simple , Even Your UE5 With Good Graphic And Broken Loot , Who Gonna Keep Losing Money Just For Delusion , They Already Said In Many Ways RCE , Should Be Focus On Loot Economy Etc And Remember Though (10 PED To USD $1)

Actually, I feel like it's possible that once they fix the game enginc and clean up the spaghetti code the other things will come out in the wash. In other words I think most of the problems come from that engine and the bandaides made to make things work within it. It will probably be quite painful for us all to go through this. Hopefully, they just do all the porting on the side and bring us all over into it AFTER it's completed.

Spot on. With recent developments in software development lifecycles, improved coding techniques and development interfaces, Entropia stands a good chance of coming out the other side clean, sharp and ready for serious action.

As a by-product of the new engine its possible epic may advertise PE on epic and open the game up to a plethora of new players which will certainly help the in-game economy. This could prove beneficial especially if it opens up new deposit avenues.

I don't think MA servers will even differentiate between the new and the old game engine... it just doesn't affect them.
All the workload comes to your computer because instructions are sent over the Internet, not physical forms.

The game engine is just a library of ready-made functions. Which are written by programmers.
For example .NET is a Microsoft library for Windows, which contains ready-made functions... the game currently works on Windows 7,10, Vista, right?
It's a little different but the basis is the same.

Just YES is another bomb for postponing promises/official statements.

The interesting thing is that 5 minutes before this topic, I released another in which I de facto explained about your main loss...

Golden dust in the eyes, MA knows how to sell.

Fix playerbase mind/brain

Sorry but none of those things are important if Botting and Cheating is promoted to run rampant in this game. There are 1,000s of botters or automated accounts and account sharing shouldn't be allowed. The integrity of the game is compromised at a core level until this situation gets a hard check. Every game except this one fights automated accounts. Every game I play besides this one Permabans account sharing. There should be BAN waves by MA to catch these accounts not up to the community to report them. Even when players do report botters they still go unpunished. Which says that cheating is the premiere way to play this game.

Everytime a Life leech ring drops a new uber botting account is created. Maybe it's time to actually fix these things so the game can at least be somewhat competitive and fair. This is the least competitive game I have ever played and it's up to MA to change that by taking a hard stand against cheaters and botters.

When a game starts to develop its basis against BOTS and not for the Players, usually this game dies... it's called gameplay.

#2/#3 - space and land plots - because I think viable promises should be kept before running after new dreams.
#6 - fixing ... and economy - would have been next on my list.

However, I do see that if a change of engine is on the cards, then it makes some sense to design features of new content around features of the new engine, not the old one. It depends on the depth of new content, however. I feel #2 and #3 could be worked on and delivered mostly as EU platform content, having little to do with features of the graphics engine. #6, especially balancing, ingredients that no longer drop etc, also has almost nothing to do with an engine change.
Thus, my choices are what they are - thanks for the poll :)

I think MA should start prioritizing getting rid of the people exploiting in the game day in day out, but considering they just unlocked six avatars that were caught cheating in mayhems, I am gonna go ahead and guess the odds of that happening is zero.

On a side note, I do think Unreal 5 will be cool, if it ever gets implemented. My faith in mindark as of late is lacking though, to say the least.

How did you know that avatars were banned... and who were they... to know that their ban was lifted?

So this is really interesting....

There's a clear split between bringing in UE5, and doing more to fix the Economy. The first one, bringing in UE5, is currently sitting at 28 votes and the second one, fixing broken loot, balancing and other issues with the Economy, is currently sitting at 27. No other option in the Poll even comes close; New Mayhem event is a distant 3rd.

I gave everyone the ability to choose 2 items, and at first glance it would be easy to jump to conclusions and claim that these 2 items were front of mind for everyone and that the same people voted for those, but that's actually not the case at all. Of the 28 people that voted for #1: bringing in UE5, only 4 of them also voted for fixing broken loot and the economy.

To me, what this means is that there is a clear split among players, the community is clearly divided here on this point of what exactly MA should be prioritizing. To approximately half of players, it's UE5, to the approximate other half, it's fixing broken loot, balancing and the economy.

The other thing that's revealing is that not many seem to understand that the Land Plots, if further developped, would be a major factor to fixing the economy, by creating more demand for loot and resources in order to erect buildings.

Conclusion: I think MindArk should do more to inform the community about their motivation and doing things in the order that they are doing them. I also think they need to properly survey their community for ideas about how to improve the economy, balancing, and what to do about broken loot (missions). Without first understanding what it is that the players are dissatisfied with, they cannot properly address the issues. In my opinion, yes they have been doing more to fix the economy, like for example those buy orders on the auction this year and the last, but it seems that more needs to be done still.
Anyway, very interesting. Please vote if you haven't already :beerchug:

They are both quite polarising options. You will have those who want to stride forward and advance (who don't necessarily see much issue with the foundations), and those who want to shore up the foundations ( who don't see much need in advancement in the current state). They are not mutually exclusive of course, but it is a good observation you have pointed out :)

I chose fix loot option as I believe if it takes 6 PED to kill a mob and get a possibly capped 2.80 Ped loot back from each is a obvious loss and disappointment, a few yes, as is expected but the formula for that plus decay of gear/repair is unacceptable.

I do not care which planet you are on or instance it is very disheartening and makes players feel slighted.

Just my 2 pecs :twocents:

Again… my problem with balancing the economy is that players will always grind markup down to nothing if it’s accessible. There’s never going to be enough consumption of mined and hunted resources so get over it. If MA rebalances stuff like they did when shrapnel was released, the players will just grind it down to 101% anyways.

Stop asking Mindark to create markup for you, it won’t work you socialist whiners.

Edit: youngs and stalkers should not drop the same stuff.

Exactly Rose. Right there you are looking at the true, average loot return for the bulk of players in the Universe. Do not listen to anyone saying different.
