I wonder what the chances are of NOT getting a rare if you do enough to loot 10k normal tokens?
That's rather different from how many people will get a rare but won't get up to 10k tokens or more for years. Maybe there's a point where I do indeed think it's ok to programme out bad luck and say looting 20k tokens (some mission counter or so) gets you a rare. Maybe repeatable, maybe linked to killing some platinum boss, dunno - just the basic thought is there for me as a grind objective or something like that.
 
Sorry JBK but that would lead to
1. "BOOST RUNS" to let someone go to top stage as some UBERST Uber team run a noob (WOW docet)
2. getting a "Rare" for the most firepower is the exact opposite meaning of this "reshuffle" of mayhem that is leading to level the field

personally speaking you 3x firepower than average ppl lead you to 4x more loot instances and 4x chances to loot.
can not support that idea of "get a rare token if you are strong"

i hate the different number of rares required to exchange for an item because i would prefer
1 rare for each weapon

who has 1 rare in inventory can not loot a sedond one
this way
a. if you dont exchange it because aim at higher Mtoken item some other ppl can loot
b. you are incentivated to exchange and drop into game more items.

as you can see i am not for a "Socialism in EU", but the more ppl has good weapons the more ped are cycled and better the loot ppl can become

if MA gains 1m Eur with actual cycle
if return are 2x better we will cyle 3x the amount or maybe 10x because more ppl flow in

and the solution is not a Swine.......is a A&P wep
I clearly asked for a team instance with 1 reward, lets not forget if the team score the token for the leader, still need to do it multiple times for each member and i clearly asked for this to be way harder then current stage20. Lets also not forget that you cant buy anything if you have that rare token - you still have to grind together 100k+ normal tokens for the good weapons - so noone getting 'pulled' through for easy reward because it would be hard and whoever clears the rare token still has to hunt for years in all mayhem seasons.
 
Yes, I seem to remember something about people keeping one of something in inventory so that getting a second wouldn't show up. I don't remember exactly what or when, but estimate 3-4 years ago maybe ...
 
I got a rare token today out of a strongbox. No swirl, no HoF, nothing. It registered on EntropiaLife though.
yeah can confirm this, got two laying around without a swirl or anything

Question:
What happens if you have a rare token in your inventory and you loot another?
Will the second be reported / recorder as a rare drop?
I am aware that this has been an issue in the past.
 
Here are my numbers through the days to complete Silver 17k points. As a reminder, I received 3 2500 pointers in the last 13 hours. All of this except the first 800p cycled was in cat 2. The last 2500 pointer was when I had 16642 points. A few thoughts for maybe it's own topic if anyone cares.

EDIT: MADE A SMALL MISTAKE WITH MY TOTAL CYCLED. THE REST OF THE NUMBERS WERE CORRECT. I CYCLED IN TOTAL 22978P NOT 22078P.

Can someone explain to me how making rare tokens tradeable will negatively affect the economy ? If the final item purchased from vendor is tradeable, doesn't that make it just as possible that the item can be resold by resellers regardless ? Is it the resellers that everyone is concerned with ? Making the tokens tradeable will give more people who will never grind out thousands of tokens a chance at getting a nice chunk of ped to play with by selling the token or even trading it, and I think it will spur the purchase of more boxes by more players in the hopes of looting one, no ? What am I missing here ?

Bunch of reasons for example time, if they were tradeable all items are gone from the vendor asap, pill value tanks cus people arent hoarding mtokens and a bunch more high eco full time grind weapons enter the economy with no extra demand for all the loot they farm = price on most loot drops even more = avg mu of mobs tanks etc etc. This vendor restock is i'd guess supposed to cover the next year +.
Also the way the market is now it gives people a goal to aim for (grinding thier own gun) which they can stomach paying for via loss/depo over time vs depo 10kusd to buy it, since most good items moved to vendor instead of loot pool it opens that part of the game up to more people (or at least gives the illusion of doing so) ofc most will never get it but its a fun goal and gives the avatar a purpose when you may find yourself dejected after constant loss with mediocre gear and no realistic possibility to ever afford better stuff or loot it and this game runs a lot on hopium like that etc etc

It sounds good in theory, but what if you never loot that rare token, which seems entirely based on luck ? That kind of takes the fun out of the grinding. If they were tradeable, the amount of rare tokens entering the economy would be controlled by MA no doubt, so I don't think there would be much fear of the vendor being wiped out of stock. I like the "(or at least gives the illusion of doing so)" ;) Thanks for the answer mate.
 
Well in old system its literally 0% for most of player base to ever touch a pm token even with lucky point loots, when they announced new system how many times did you hear someone say 'now everyone has a chance' or something to the effect. Good setups still have an edge (its luck but there are many steps you can take to increase the luck) and the reality is their chance went from 0% to like 0.1% but that's all it really takes an excuse to grind and participate (which is Ma's only actual goal to increase cycle/participation)

just do your regular depo with halloween strongboxes , then you will loot a rar pm token for shure , there are plenty in there

basicly now everyone got a chance to get the tokens , shure reaching 100K + tokens is a big goal but you can reach it alone by opening strongboxes now ...how many you have to open is written in the stars, fact is you are able to do it... if you ask me : i wuld rather open hw strongboxes then any other strongbox if my goal is to get a vendor weapon

or maybe combine it with the event take part of it and do the grind to get even more tokens ?! most things if not all things are that easy in this game, i dont get why people make it that complicated

3 x 2500 pointers, and the last came late you say?
I got my only 2500 pointers at 49.980 / 50.000 at gold :D
 
Heyas all,

Here is an update so far.

I chose gold cat 7 - cat 9. I used a m83 predator tier 5. Nutri 10, neuro a pills (total reload 26%) and spent 70 hours so far in there. I received about 1175 strongboxes, one 14.03p esi, rest shrapnel, no rare tokens, and one HOF for 5465 (all shrapnel). I cycled 105000p in ammo during that time. One set of 100 tokens were found in 165 boxes opened. Rest of strongboxes I sold. My points to date are 46375 and 4175 mayhem tokens.

What set up have you used and how many hours you played roughly?
ecotron v.26B prototype tier 2 with damage enhancers and ascension armor. I dced with 5 minutes or less at the boss 3 times. So I'd say about 35 hours if I killed 96 mobs every 30 minutes which I didn't. I don't pay enough attention to do that. Plus I did some while working, not just streaming, so I would say about 50 hours which is what I expected.
 
my stats in this mayhem:

Guns: using ONLY daily mission weapons (Isis LC-60 CDF edition (L) & BLD pistol (L) ) = NO ped spent on weapons, only repairing amps
Armor: Ghost + 5B plates (not much decay, most was like 30 ped after 5 hours in cat 5)
Autoloot pills & pills that can not be traded (from boxes from other mayhems)

Cat 1 to 5 . Between 3 to 10 hours / day depending on day...

I got:
450+ boxes
1950+ mayhem tokens
27599 points

NO rare token
NO global or HOF over 300 ped.

- (minus) 3200 peds ... ( to this 320$ loss in 10 days add the cost of guns and pills and it gets to.... ??? )

Opened only 20 boxes this time, because other mayhems i opened 200 - 300 boxes with similar results.

Only one mayhem was different for me ( no loss ).

Just curious what you think. This should make me do what?

Long time NOOB coming out of hiding here (2013-Present)...

I just wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to MA for making the Halloween Mayhem a success for a low level player like myself. It was awesome to be able to participate for the first time in the coveted Mayhem! I went into it feeling under gunned and not sure what to expect, but I did reasonably well on the Bronze level and walked out with almost 50 strongboxes and 363 coins looted! Had my new BEST EU global of 144PED during the event!

So, again, my thanks and gratitude to MA for allowing me the opportunity to participate and it has wet my apatite to continue to grow my humble Avatar and look forward to the next event!

Well what said Evey is legit. The rare message won't show if the item is stackable and you have already one in inventory . This has been around for many many years.

Maybe at Christmas ill get my first rare ever lol
