Account Hacked 40,000+ Peds Lost

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. It's especially unnerving to hear that MA is just sitting on their butt with this and giving you exactly zero update for a year....

It's this kind of complete lack of support and transparency and feeling of MA "not having your back" that's undermining the core of the game and trust of their most valued players.

We don't need you guys adding "new camera systems" and other useless crap. We need you taking the support of your player base, active communication and transparency little more seriously.

I'm going based on what's posted assuming he's not just omitting responses. The fact it's been a year with no update shows they aren't doing much. They control the entire game and have logs of every click you make in game. Reaching a conclusion about this shouldn't take this long.

I'm not saying they should just hand everything back. And I'm not saying we need to add a bunch of idiot proof security tweaks. But at least say clearly "we aren't doing anything about this" or "we're working towards this solution". Either they are going to help him out not. If shit was TTd give him the option to exercise the 1000 ped buy back that others have used at least.

Yeah there is something to be said for personal accountability. But leaving someone hanging for this long without saying anything over a matter involving thousand of dollars? Wow
 
There are some easy way to secure your account.
1 : Use an email adress ONLY for Entropia, no forums, no pron sites.
2 : Use 2FA. Back in the days, we only had gold cards but you had to pay for it, but now even the sweater bot can secure his account for free.

I do agree, tho, having no answers for a year while they have all the datas is weird and not respectfull at all. Make a new support case, be polite, just ask to get your fap restored for the 1K ped fee and hope you end up on Ulf or Folke, they're awesome.
 
He wasn't using 2fa which is why I was asking what sites he might have used the same username/email and password on so we can warn people away from that site.
To be honest, i don't recall where or what platforms exactly, but I do recall using the same passwords for a few of the Entropia related forums. Maybe you guys can take note of that and ensure your passwords aren't the same around the forums and game!

to ma´s "support": as if. its 2021. every shitty browser warns me, if the ip-pattern breaks out. be pround your software ,that circulates and makes you millions of dollars, that isnt capable of.

1) I doubt anyone uses same password for EU with real value vs forums that nobody cares about
2) I can't believe accounts get randomly hacked, brute force is thing of a long long past, keyloggers, sneaky backdoors in "make 1000PED/hour in Entropia Universe" kind of software etc is the way to go get hacked
3) If you have expensive item sold to TT, first thing you do is to try and recover it with 1000 PED payment to MA, no matter the reason

This whole thing just sounds too stupid to be believable. Then again, all kinds of stupid bought compet and MA cryptos, world is pretty colorful place to live in! Not being homophotic here!
 
Its sad to see that a company cares little about their customers unfortunate situations, and so little that not to respond to that customer even though it's clear it's stressful for them to be let I the unknown. I've been hanging around since 2003 and can say this is the way it have always been. The customer support is always polite, and respond in fairly short time, but anything complex, it tends to drag out painfully long.
 
If the items were tt'd on your account, you should be able to pay the 1000ped per item restoration and in addition you would have to cover the ped amount from the tt.

Support will not just give you back your items or provide any additional information regarding the other accounts involved.
The best you can hope for is they were banned as a result.
MA provides free 2 Factor Authenication with the Entropia Universe Pocket App and everyone should have this activated.

Make a new support case for item restoration of the things that were tt'ed and have the ped stacks in your inventory for the exact amounts.
7 days max on item restoration requests from the time you TT'd it.

I always use same password for all porn subs forums and entropia, it's much easier to remember :D

Additionally, the hacker used my account to purchase a Summer and an Easter Strongbox for 500 ped each on AH.
Hmm... this makes me wonder why players create auctions like this with an incredibly huge buyout markup. I mean it's probably stupid to name everyone who does that a possible threat, but still...

Just think of someone hacking into an account, checking the available amount of PED, using their real account to put one bottle of Animal Eye Oil (or similar) in the auction for that price and buying it with the hacked account... If that happens within minutes (it has to as the hackers can't know for how long they are in control) it should be easy for MindArk to see the obvious. Now I don't know how local authorities see that and could be helpful as it'd still be a legal issue...

the way how I interpret this "due to how the items were distributed from your account" as opposed to "like an item which has been sold to the Trade Terminal" is that your fap (which is 90% of your concern) was not thrown in TT
after that, it is "all trades are final"

No, i dont believe I opened any suspicious emails. My guess would be one of the entropia forums, as I used to have the same password as the game on some of them previously if i recall correctly. Play stupid games, win stupid prices I guess

They didn't though!! This should of been fixed in 1 day!! They should of restored his items that day when they were put in the Trade Terminal!!! This is gross negligence on the part of MA and it's no wonder why this game gets the PR that it's a scam. It's because of things like this.
We can also see that your items was sold to the Trade Terminal and that the PED was transferred to another account through the Auction.

I'm going to try and be as nice as possible since it's the forums on this issue but..... Soon as MA realized the items were sold to the Trade Terminal they should of been working on restoring the items and returning them to you THAT DAY after your pass word was changed and then secured. This isn't a hard issue to resolve, take a measly 30 mins of time out of your day MA and restore this persons items!

This honestly is the grossest customer service I have ever seen in a game. Literally an issue that can be resolved in 30 mins that hasn't been in a year over items of high value. If MA can't even protect or restore items of value which is simple, why even deposit or play this game? This isn't complicated!!

This is 2022 and I can't believe that MA is this far behind in customer service in regards to gaming and to compare to other games it's just world's apart. I can literally log into World of Warcraft right now and restore any items I sold to the Trade terminal by accident, myself. Blizzard literally has a Item Restoration service where even if you were drunk and Trade Terminal all your gear the next day you can just restore it.

This hopefully is a wake up to MA on how behind they are. You should literally be able to log into entropiauniverse.com and Item Restore this yourself. However we don't have that service because MA doesn't have customer service at all and they deserve all the hate they get because of neglected issues like this. This game could be doing far better but it's wounds are all self inflicted by MA itself.

I love this game but it's these types of things that will be Entropia's downfall one day because MA is playing with fire here. Not only are they showing they don't care about our items, time spent or accounts/money. If this type of problem happens to the wrong person they will be facing another lawsuit and even more bad PR that this game doesn't need. Which it doesn't have to be because this is literally a problem that should of been fixed in 30 minutes.

MA you need to do better and you have a long way to go in helping the players and your customer service. This is just gross negligence and incompetence and you should feel bad about it. Seriously ask yourself MA why should anyone deposit if you can't resolve these types of issues. This isn't a good look, fix this problem and work on making sure issues can be resolved in a timely matter. It's our money and if you don't value our money then people will just take it out of this game.

That's all, I love this game and am passionate about it but holy fucking shit. Seriously.

You're very trusting that the OP isn't making a story up or bending the truth a little. Which I feel they may be... MA normally react very quickly to issues like this. However in this case they have not. I'd raiontionlise there is parts to this story missing.

This isn't the first instance of terrible customer support and if MA said these items were sold in the Trade Terminal they should of been restored that day after the OP's account was secured. Regardless of "if there is something missing from the OP side" this is a bad look and MA should respond to it in here and to the person. Why because the message it sends is if they don't care about his items, then they clearly don't care about mine either. So I sent in a support case on this thread myself to bring more attention to it. I don't want MA to have missteps and bad PR due to lack of communication. I also don't want people in this game to feel like their investments and money doesn't matter. This just isn't acceptable for MA to continue to have bare bones customer service, communication and antiquated services in 2022. Entropia can grow but MA is in it's own way with these self inflicted issues.

Seriously though, entropiauniverse.com should have an Item restoration service that you can restore yourself. This is a common feature implemented into other games so support doesn't have to waste actual man hours on it. Like come on a year on some of these important support tickets? This should of been resolved in 1 day. That is what customers and gamers expect.

Is Unreal engine 5 a cool idea? Yea but the games customer support and services should come first. I could care less about engine upgrades if the support and communication stays the same. Fix what is important first, communication.

If you sell items to trade terminal you can make a request to get them back but you have to provide a fee of 1000 ped. So, i doubt the truth as this guy write since couldnt get his items back :)

Yea very possible that OP isn't telling all but lets be clear. If your account is hacked and items are sold to the Trade terminal ANY gaming company that's worth a dam should fix that issue in 24 hrs. It should cost you ZERO!!! That is just good customer service that is expected from any game. MA needs to get with this century in regards to gaming services.

I mean heck 13 yrs ago my WoW account was hacked because back then really wasn't thinking about 2 factor Auth. I logged in and my fully decked out PvP character Abombination was gone. I called Blizzard and he was server transfered to be sold on the black market. They immediately cancelled the transfer and returned him to me in 1 hour. This was 13 years ago! I expect that kind of immediate service when it comes to my account and it's security when playing a game. Especially one where I'm investing money into. Entropia should be the leading standard in customer service for gaming since it's a real cash economy. Just feel like this is common sense and MA is missing the boat. Which is why MA and Entropia gets bad PR for being a scam.

I have 2 Factor crap & didn't play for almost a year, swapped phones.
I made a support case December 19th to remove it, including 2 sides of my ID in combination with my credit card.
Guess when they removed it...

I found my old phone back & actually repaired it (thx louis rossmann), just to be able to log in before my account was TT'ed

Just to be clear , the OP didn't use the provided f2a service which is free.

There is no way to tell if the OP shared his account info with others.

MA has information which we are not able to see , and they are under no obligation to share that info.
 
Just to clear the misconception... Many people asked me to write to MA to get tt-ed items back for a fee. However, MA has yet to tell me what has been tt-ed and I have even created a new support case a few days after the hack to enquire about getting tt-ed items back. They promptly closed that case and asked me to wait for investigations. The investigations are basically over from my last update on this forum post and still no proper reply. I have asked if my IMP GYRO was tt-ed so many times, I've given up at this point lol. Anyways, as I said earlier, I do get that not having 2FA at the time of the hack was stupid. However, it's not cool for people to claim my story is bs. I could probably just post the support code and screenshots of the chat log, but I don't know if I want to make MA my enemy when I am still playing Entropia :)
