Skyripper has motion decay, (though one version of it does not). So its not the best vehicle to use for exploring.

Went from NI to Rock yesterday and experienced a lot of "stuttering" of the graphics. Planet images were blurred.

All planets got an update in this unanounced update including Rock (900 Mb)

I've still not worked out how to talk to one. I get the chat window, but can't type anything in it. No idea if this is due to something I'm doing (or not doing) but I did not feel like wasting game time trying to figure out what the problem is.

Impossible to say ofc since there is no actual info. But since they are deeded ships, which means permanently present in space, that to my mind suggests something more than a glorified equus/firebird. Hopefully, MA will drop some more hints.

One thing you missed in the stats: GUNS! One of the concept illustrations shows at least 2 guns. If its based on a privateer as base model, there should be 6 guns and two repair stations so a full crew would be pilot/miner, 6 gunners and 2 repair crew. Thats my offering to the guess the stats...

Yes, but they don't say if those six will drop from a particular type of BP or if they will drop from any BP on any planet. Personally though, having been dissapointed over the failure to implement the cargo missions, I'm in wait and see mode on this.

BP's are obtained from crafting. It does not say what type of BP will drop them though. This needs clarification from MA.

All downloaded. 'puter restarted and client loader still in maintenance mode after more than 20 minutes.

They do seem to drop low level chips oftenish.

They do count to Caly Codex which is something I suppose.

I don't recall a stage 5 at all. maybe I missed it I'll have to check in few days time when I'm back on RT. 5k was tedious enough though.

Hmm. Current map. That suggests plans for expansion. There were two more servers, (still shown on the mininglog map) any plans to reinstate them? And is the SI server still linked to the Next Island cluster? Since its not mentioned at all in this announcement.

Maybe they intend to move it back to Next Island. Or they just forgot to mention it at all.
