It would be an interesting answer to get. Maybe because ARIS is a Calypso moon/planet it has access to unlimited weapons that independent planets/moons would not, because they as an independent planet system need to hit an activity target to be able to buy/drop the weapons.

Mindark will do what they have always done, gradually bring out some new items which will slowly obsolete the mayhem items. They can silently tinker with the loot mechanics as well. You are correct the damage is already done, and the fix will be coming.
