Indeed, but they all have their root in some patent or another, an interesting article relating to this style of game.... I would just like to know that the compet game is covered. :popcorn:

MTG came out in 1993, it is the grandaddy to all those other CCGs and has most of the copyrights. The pokemon card game was also published by wizards of the coast. I'm not a legal expert, but if I see the similarities I'm sure others will too. :popcorn:

There is no copyright on simple playing cards, but there is a big fat one on Magic The Gathering and its 'Mana' driven play style. I have plenty of popcorn, I just hope ,for my compet deeds sake, that this has already been researched by MindArk! :popcorn:

The game play is almost identical to Magic The Gathering, and I'm pretty sure the inventor Richard Garfield has the copyrights for this unique style of game play. I'm certainly getting the popcorn ready.

I notice a lot of similarities between the ComPet arena battle engine and the Wizards of the Coast game - Magic The Gathering. Is there a partnership between ComPet and WoC or will there be sparks flying between these two companies in the very near future?

there is a windows version of ComPet, only I-phone is not released yet.

Now season II has ended, a very short one too, I thought I 'd post my hopes on what will be fixed for season 3. !. The ranking system, a complete mystery how that works, won 10 battles in a row yesterday lost nearly 100 points in total. This I find the most frustrating part of ComPet so far...

Negative ranking points

This is crazy, when i win a ped match i get no peds but when i lose i lose the peds, for gold matches when i win i lose ranking just as much as when as when i lose a match? With this situation the only way i can win is by not playing arena matches!!

My question is about PEDS not Pets :)
