Well, it’s not really a giveaway - you’ll still have to fight for them, just not against us.
So gear up, gather your society members, and prepare for war.
Our hope is that more people get involved and actually experience the current Land Grab format. Maybe you’ll even have some feedback from the perspective of participating in these events.
We decided to put a hard stop on LGs, meaning we will no longer defend the lands until further notice, and that won’t change in the foreseeable future.
Why? It’s both simple and complicated. We used to do LG PvP for fun, and truth is, we’ve been doing LGs out of inertia lately, rather than enjoyment. Bugs and issues have plagued Land Grabs for so long, and while some are barely addressed, new ones keep appearing. Both attacking and defending participation dropped heavily, and when the fun disappears and activity dies, something has to change. So we figured other societies might have a chance to enjoy LGs if we step back entirely.
Hopefully some of you will have fun with this, maybe push your avatars higher, or give LGs a try for the first time. You might even grow to love it - just as I once did. For a long time, this was my favorite activity in the game, especially back when we had real, large-scale fights. But seeing my friends enjoy it less and wanting to focus on other things, drained the joy for me as well.
