I noticed in one of the threads that a player mentioned how great it would be if we could access planet-specific market data in-game — for example, only the values for Next Island or Arkadia.
But so far, I haven’t seen a real concept for how that could actually work.
So I wanted to give it a try and outline one possible approach.
Imagine a small, craftable device — a portable trade computer.
Once you activate it for the first time, you choose one planet, and that choice becomes permanent. From that moment on, the device only displays market data for that specific planet — MU, trade volume, supply, demand, etc. for whatever item you type in.
The main idea is that this shouldn’t be a free scanner — it should have real value in the economy.
Each query would have decay (a small PED fee per use), but in exchange, you get exact market data.
(I assume MindArk already has these planet-specific stats or could easily make them available.)
There could be several versions:
This would create a useful tool for nearly every profession — crafters, miners, hunters, and traders alike.
It would also allow MindArk to monetize market data fairly (without giving it away for free), and since all computers would be limited, they would generate steady crafting demand.
To go along with that, there should be a proper trader ship — not a warp monster, but a small, sturdy freighter that even new players could afford one day.
Here’s how I imagine it:
A single-seater, slow in normal flight (about 50 % of a Sleipnir), but with very low fuel consumption.
No thruster consumption when taking off from a planet.
The ship would have 10 built-in thrusters (or maybe a new type of thruster) that can be activated simultaneously when things get dangerous.
The boost would provide a 10× speed increase for about 2 minutes — reaching around 6 000 m/s.
Each use would cost around 2 PED (+ MU) or more, so it should really hurt financially — meaning it’s not meant for quick travel between planets but for emergency escape only.
The boost would be strong enough to guarantee escape as long as you’re at the keyboard.
Only AFK pilots would be easy targets — and that’s intentional.
The ship itself would have heavy armor, strong enough to take several hits before going down.
But so far, I haven’t seen a real concept for how that could actually work.

1. Planetary Trade Computer

There could be several versions:
- MK1: shows only one planet, very low decay
- MK2–MK3: two or three planets
- MK4: all planets at once, but with high decay
This would create a useful tool for nearly every profession — crafters, miners, hunters, and traders alike.
It would also allow MindArk to monetize market data fairly (without giving it away for free), and since all computers would be limited, they would generate steady crafting demand.
2. Interplanetary Trade Vessel (ITV-MK1 (L))
