[EDITED with Katie calc contribution]
I happened to loot a "Fanoos Medical V1 (L)" FAP
and i was curious reading the "Exceptional" durability on a 5 pec item
let's look at the Wiki.
It heals 9 HP per use and an use is 0.05 pec so the 5 pec item allows 250 healing
iw we looc the Heal per Pec (it is the parameter to check the "economicity" of an
healing tool, the bigger the better,
it is at 0.09 (heal per use) * 20 (uses for 1 pec) = 180 Heal for 1 pec
in the whole EU there are just 2x Heal over time devices that heal cheaper
and they come from Mission Galactica or its upgrade and cost over 5000 ped
for the cheapest of them.
so, Fanoos poses itself at third among healing tools
at the same Economicity as "vivo explorer (L)" and Next island "Herbox new settler issue"
but of the latter 2 you can have only 1 in the whole game experience (it is mission reward)
Let's see some same category devices:
TT FAP's (Gyro Fap, E-Laj, VivoT1A, Punk Trauma Pack) are same 9 healing but the
cost is 9.98 Heal per pec so Fanoos heals 180/10 = 18 times more than TT ones.....
Vivo S10 (the icarus dungeon reward FAP) has a Heal per pec set at 12.3 so for the
same cost Fanoos heals 14.6x more (it is slightly more powerful put yuou can fap twice
and the Heal epr pec is not related to the amount healed.
So for small healing needs, it is for sure an awesome tool.
its economicity are so awesome that it is better than other FAPs even at 1300% markup
[EDITED correcting: Combat Fap and off combat Fap both go into mob loot returns in
loot 2.0 so a lower markup is the trigger of the "convenience level". I think that all the
spending on the monster is contributing in the loot so at 90% returns for a New player
this has a convenience trigger of 240%, if you believe in 75% heal return it is 440% and
here is the table:
Now the BAD part. there is a pervert fixed price System that prevent it to be interesting
if found in AH (the minimum price in AH is 1 ped for an item so it become 2000% MU
and 1100% is commission :-( <Facepalm for MA that can not implement a %fee in ah>
so the only way to get one is either to loot it yourself (level 3 DSEC-9 green mobs or
Toulan monsters) or to buy from a street trader.
I do not know how much should be the markup, this is a Real Economy Game so it is
up to the agreement between buyer and seller.
similar devices (Rubio, Azuso, Proton, Eagle, Hawk, lancehead, modec100 are the
reference for prices, remeber not to pay it over 230% and it is bargain healing)
