Help: A106 vs. A204

am considering upgrading my trusted A106 to an A204. Entropedia states an eco of

A106 with 2.951 on an unlimited EWE LC-100 Frontier
A204 with 2.963 on an unlimited EWE LC-100 Frontier

Difference = 0.012 dmg per pec.


Now the price difference between those amps is, lets say 5 CLD's at a payout of lets say 4 ped a week. So my question would be

Will I gain or lose upgrading to an A204 if I go through that amp once a day ?

PS: I am ignoring dmg on purpose as it is "only" 1 pt real damage

The price diffrence is more like 9 clds so for using on a lc-100 and no intention to upgrade the amp i would say no, not worth it.

Total cost (decay + ammo) for 2052 shots:
LC-100 + a106 = 30927,744 pec
LC-100 + a204 = 31764,96 pec

Total damage inflicted:
LC-100 + a106 = 91267,772544 damage
LC-100 + a204 = 94119,57648 damage

94119,57648 damage - 91267,772544 damage = 2851,803936 damage

So LC-100 + a204 inflicts ~2852 more damage than LC-100+a106 for an extra 837,216 pec

2851,803936 / 2.963 = 962,4717975025312 pec - 837,216 pec = 125,2557975025312 pec

That would be around 1.25 ped saved for every 2052 shots.

Include the regen on mobs and a204 gets a bit better.

In other words: 2.963/2.951 = 1.004066418163334 => that's ~0.41% better so you have to cycle alot more than that.

The total cost of an A204 isn't even 9x CLD's ... With the exception of the very last one selling for 12k, the others before sold for 7-8k and with so much stuff on auc atm, I doubt all three that will be auctioned off will fetch like 13k imo.

After the 2 last sold on auction i have bought 2 to make an hypercharged A204, i payed ~14.5k each and i know one sold after that at around 16k also so i guess you dont have very recent info...

Also 2 hypercharged has sold during the last 24 hours at +32k each wich puts regular A204 at around 15k with current pristine crystal prices.

If you would want to make longer hunts you can look at adj/imp A105, adj has 17 dmg while imp has 18 dmg, the eco is like A106 but you have more uses on them, around 3600 on adj i think and a little above 7200 on imp, adj is cheaper than A106 i think...

Its far from dead, if you for example log hunts in detail its harder to do that if you need to repair in the middle of a run than after the hunt and its still a cost to repair with portable terminal that you dont have at regular repair terminal.
