Would it be easier to put in coding where you must accept invitation to be on guestlist before you can be summoned? Add coding that would mean you cannot be added to any guest list without first clicking acceptance on a form that says name of ship and name of owner. Even if the coding would have to do this for all guest lists of all vehicles lets do it the one extra step to accept is worth it to ward off criminals. And yes it is criminals if you taken into pvp against your will and you get looted it is criminal activity not piracy. Let us be clear about that. It is my hope that MA will do 2 things: return the property illegally stolen and banning criminals from the game.
I have nothing against pirates who play this game fair, but this is obvious a tactict that harasses ppl. What bothers me most is that he does it over and over again. Clearly interfearing with ppls gameplay. I really hope he gets a permaban and the pathfinder will be confiscated by MA. Just to put a little bit of preasure, I will not log in for a couple of days, I hope this way it opens their eyes that this kind of actions really harms the game.
to lower chance of getting targeted:
go to options, privacy and hide your online status in player/mentor register
While it's not perfect solution, this might decrease chances of being targeted.
but exploits ARE allowed, according to what we see happen in game every day....
If everyday for 5 years, you played cards at bills house. Then one day while your sitting at the table, a guy hits you in the back of the head, and steals your wallet. Bill says yeah from now on this is an aggressive house, where you will be robbed if you come play...why would you return to bills house?
and why would you not blame bill, for creating a hostile environment, I think the more you enjoyed playing cards at bills, the more it would aggravate you, now that you can no longer enjoy the card game. obviously Bill works at MA, because all he cares about is getting your wallet, not providing you a fun safe place to play cards.
Today arrived to Caly. Recieved several summons (5-7 in 15 mins) (i think he add us to list being on Caly SS). SC written...with a cry for help and the request to ban.![]()
im pretty sure, (not 100%) when u get a summons u can just stick that box down in the corner and leave it there, so any subsequent summons wont bother u

that's is my point exactly, we the players the miners, hunters, explorers, traders, adventurers, sweaters, etc. played for many many years, with out having packs of roving thieves( allowed by purposefully built game mechanics) to aggressively remove us from our PED.
Sure its impossible to build a 100% exploit proof game system. Most players I think understand and except this. and there will always be abusers and cheats in any system.
The problem is when the owners of the game, design MORE ways for the thieves, abusers and cheats to harm the players. sure an exploit or a scam is going to happen...but for the developers to on purpose build a system of travel, designed so every participant is subjected to attacks, theft, and harassment, at the hands of thugs, pirates, thieves and cheats..that is when I take issue.
Its not that the "bad" guys exist, its that MA created them a playground to play in, and populated it with us normal players.

There are two things that can happen that may cause me to lose faith in this game and never deposit again.
#1) If ALL of the "players" involved in this exploit only get a slap on the wrist.
Let's face it, everyone involved in this latest exploit are all just as guilty as the other. Whether you were shooting down the XX32 or were on planet looking for victims shouldn't matter.
Just because one of them has made more deposits than the next SHOULD NOT matter. They all need to face the exact same consequence. Of course, this will be MA's decision, but a slap on the wrist will just encourage them to work harder and smarter on their NEXT great exploit.
#2) I have heard in the past that MA rarely EVER gives ped back to exploit victims. If you ask me, their design of the game is to blame on why anyone could be exploited from this in the first place, and therefore I feel it should be their responsibility to reimburse everyone who was a victim, whether MA gets the peds back from the exploiters or not. If their reaction time was swifter, they may very well have gotten the ped back. As of now, no post has even been made regarding these incidents.
Whether this is a game or not, we are dealing with REAL MONEY! What these exploiters have done is not much different than them coming up from behind, smashing a bottle over your head, and stealing the wallet out of your pocket while you lay unconscious, IMO. The victims were totally unprepared and unaware, there was nothing fair about it.
MA, it is time to make examples of all of these wrongdoers and to do the right thing, and I will leave it at that.

The whole thing sucks, but when you do it to new players who doesn't have a PED to there name, that is criminal. I travel in space a lot, get shot down a lot. It's no big deal to me. I'm also a crew member on a privateer so am use to seeing summons, and accepting or declining them. Yesterday morning I was TPing out from the Privateer to the SS when I noticed maybe 10 avatars in noobie orange wandering around the Caly SS in absolute confusion as to how they got there. It appears that they unknowingly accepted a summons from the Starfinder XXXII. Most of these folks had never been further than Camp Icarus, and probably didn't even know space existed. They had no Quad, no PED and only the sweat they had been sweating probably hours to get, so they could maybe sell it for a little PED. I first tried to ferry them down in my quad, but of course the pirates were waiting, and certainly looted their sweat. So after the second attempt to get them to Caly, I just had them line up and gave each 7 PED to use the TP. Hopefully a few of those won't just quite the game. I did see one asking how to delete his avatar. It is one thing to prey on folks who have been around a while and know how things work, quite another to prey on someone who is completely new and has no idea what is going on.

Not true, if you see my pic in post #181, you'll see they keep coming even if you dont answer.![]()
