Armor question

I had something weird happen last night. We were out hunting argonauts ( mostly gatherers ).

They hit me with about 36 damage ( thru Knight armor ), yet when I was standing on a slope, shooting up to an argonaut, it fell down on top of me, and caused 44 damage.

My armor status was way in the green ( hardly any decay ), so I doubt if that was the reason for causing more damage. Further another gatherer caused 36 damage again ( on a flat area ).

It almost feels like the argonaut caused damage to my head, since Knight armor has no helmet, but a face guard. Could that be the reason ?
 
Ive heard some people talk about some bug that makes the mob hit you but your armor dont protect you. Maybe thats what happened.Did it happen with all mobs?
 
No, I was protected the approx. correct amount from each mob, but just this one argonaut did more damage `falling` downhill and attacking me.

It has definitely to do with the slope and it landing on top of me...
 
Are you sure the Argos were both the same maturity? like both Gatherers?
 
I'm not sure if it is a related... but I saw a variance in dmg taken from an Atrox Young through Vigi + 1a's. It would either be 9.1 or 10.5 (about). Everything was almost full TT btw. It was only that one mob. All other youngs did 9.1 everytime.

I didn't mind since the values were so close.
 
It's the armour attachment bug... I assume you hadnt long fully repaired your armour plates?

It happened to me a couple of times now.. you'll take full damage from a mob even thgough you look like you are wearing full armour at full/almost full health.

When this happens to us girls we are perceived by others as being naked :eek:

Yup! That's right... the naked bug rears it's ugly head again :D

Unfortunately.. the only way to resolve this is to relog.

File a support case and let them know
 
always repair your armor to a full TT after each huntrun, and if u are using plates, those too :wise:
 
Actually I had repaired my armor to the fullest before we went out. Since we've killed some arg's my armor wasn't full TT, but very close.

Ya, the decay on my armor/plates was only from that hunt... I fully repair after every hunt. The weird thing is that it went up to 10.5 from 9.1. 10.5? Without the 1a's on my vigi, youngs to 13.1 to me so I have no clue where the 10.5 would come from.

It happened to me few times after last VU. I was getting dmg as if I wasn't wearing any armor (and the armor was fully repaired or close). Mobs were: Atrox, Argos and, as I can recall, Drones 01-02. It seemed to me that ALL these accidents happened only when I was on some slope, either above or below the target.

When it first happened 2 days after VU I was even thinking it's some sort of a new feature, kinda 'critical hit', but now I'm pretty sure it's just a new bug added (as many other 'mountain' glitches) ;)
 
i had the same thing with wearing just my fully repaired pixie. i was running fromt the mob at the time so i assumed it bit me in the horribly unprotected ASS! MA we need ass armour and a cup for those armours that dont protect the front to well either.
