About a month ago I lent my full set of vigilante (M) and full 6a plates to a friend of mine. He then somehow stored my armor along with some of his things in his apartment and "accidentally" sold it... :scratch2: I'm still trying to determine if this was on purpose and he is lying or a real mistake...But I ask the person who has put a 620 ped bid on this apartment Aviator ghodt aviator or anyone who knows him/her to pm me or post on this Thread. I don't have the ped to spare right now otherwise I would try and buy the apartment out myself.


Any help from any one is greatly appreciated in finding this avatar!:(

is the apartment on auction? then I think your friend can remove it from there...

Accidently sold his appartment? Accidently and in went to the auctioneer, select sell, dragged the deed into the selling box, set a price buyout etc and pressed sell and confirmed this? Shit this guy is unlucky. I mean can you imagine such an unfortunate string of events?

Get on this guys case. His stupidity should not be your loss. Then again should you have trusted him in the first place?

yeah I remember bidding on an apt (platinum building at TI) which still had a table and 16ped of muscle oil inside

yeh...may be a while b4 or if I ever lend him something...but yeh someone already has a bid on it don't think you can take down...and also the apartment must be set to private if you sell it....:(

I don't think he's a scammer have known him for over a year...he did a lot of stupid shit too though. If he doesn't get this back i'll talk to MA...doubt that will help though )-=

Are you sure about that? Im pretty sure I viewed the apt i was bidding on. I know George skywalker was the first bidder on the TI one dunno if he managed to have a look inside? :scratch2:
 
just came from apartment...it was set to private so I couldn't get in...I will try and get my friend to try and open it though ...I think there is about less than 5 days left on the bid and according the apartment panel there is 0/150 points left on it...so I might be part of a rather long and drawn out scam after all :mad:

It does not have to be set to private, it has to be set to restricted. This way a person can not have things in an apartment, advertise it with the items, and then take them out while it is still on auction.

Sounds fishy to me. Once it is set to private there is no way for anyone to see if there are 7 armor parts (and his items in there) or 7 animal hides. The terminal only shows the number of items, but someone hoping to get an apartment and a full set of vigi might be tempted to bid on the auction to get a good deal. :rolleyes:

I am in no way stating that this is the case, only that it sounds like the OPs friend seems to be fishy in this sale.

Maybe what he mean is that this Aviator Avatar did not empty the apart before selling it. Not accidently did all the Auction sale process. :dunno:

He may be able to sell the deed, but as long as there are items in the apartment.. the new owner of the deed can not claim it.

This is not true. You set the apartment to restricted, can sell the deed and the person who purchases or possesses the deed can claim the apartment. Once they change the status back from restricted they can also claim all the items inside of it.
 
darth - If the estate terminal shows 0/150 - your vigi etc is not in there.

Either your friend is mistaken, or lying.

Ask him to check 'My Items' under 'My Section' from the Entropia Universe website.

If he still has the armor, this will show where it is, even if the estate is restricted, but not yet sold on auction.

Yep. My friend Fripples bought an apt. that had 1 mystery item in it (set private with 1/120 item points). It turned out to be a christmas garland and he was able to claim/keep it.

Sorry to hear about this situation Bacon. Sounds like you got hit by a trust scam. :(

So if i understand this thread and comments right its possible to sell a apartment with stuff in it? I have made a very cool installation of 120 skulls in my apartment. Is it possible then to sell it with the installation also, and also that way get payment for a artistic installation?

Yes.
I think there already are people doing this, at least there have been.
though I have no idea how big the demand is for such services... I think you need to make yourself a name as an artist first, for people to be willing to pay for it.

Did a quick little search to check to see if your friend who accidently put the apartment on auction with your stuff inside is here on EF.

Really strange that he "accidently" put that apartment on acution with items in it (which it appears is not the case unless there is another apartment that wasn't posted) when he seems to know that can be done.

Unlikely as he's neither the bidder nor the seller of the apartment and therefore stands to gain nothing. He's the guy who claims that he lent the seller a full set of Vigi + 6As, and when he asked the seller for the return of the armour, the seller then claimed that he had accidentally left the armour (14 items inc plates) in the apartment when he put it into the ingame auctions.
The screenshot of the estate terminal shows that this apartment is from this seller, checking the properties list in auction shows that this is the only apartment currently offered for sale by this seller.

Having scanned the OP recently on a beacon mission I can confirm that, at that time, he was wearing a full set of Vigilante + 6As. He came on the soc beacon mission as a number of socmates and mutual friends spoke well of him.

It therefore seems to me that there are only two possibilities:

1 - The OPs claim is true and that the seller of the apartment has not left the armour in there but is intending to keep it rather than return it.
2 - The OP's claim is false.

I saw the seller of the apartment in Twin ring last night and twice asked him if what I'd heard was true - that he had offered an apartment on auction and had left a load of stuff inside? Neither time did he answer.


From the above and no response from the seller either here or ingame, I conclude that the OPs claim is by far the more credible version of events.

Man Drink really messes with my memory :(
 
I'm going to check the auction to see if some one else may have bid on this apartment. I got into a short little argument with the seller yesterday...I told him to e-mail me a picture of the "my items" section to me he said he would it's been roughly 3/4 of a day and it's not there I'll be patient for that but I really hope that the seller of the apartment is just having "a series of unfortunate events" that is making it impossible for him to return the armor...
