Arokh's Diary

Okay.... some big news...

I HAVE HAIR!!!

At last I have some nice hair to call my very own. No longer will I be a woman with less hair than a molisk. But how did this natural miracle happen? Well it's all thanks to a certain individual named Pinky.

Remember my last entry, I visited that new city - Chugs Hideout. As it happens I met Pinky there and one thing led to another... basically I volunteered to be an object for her to skill on. Hell - if I've got nothing to do in game, I may as well be of some use to someone else. I remember Pinky saying (somewhere I think...) it's difficult to get people to sit down and skill for a while. So being nice, I just volunteered. I soon received an IM off her, and I headed on up to her apartment to take my position on the chair.

Well for a few hours we were there skilling. Well... one of us skilling. I was just the silly bald woman sat in the chair clicking "confirm" every now and then. But in the end I was left with a wonderful style in the very same hair colour that I chose when I created my avatar over a year ago. I'd forgotton what colour it was, so it was a nice suprise to find out. But now behold.... the new Arokh:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Later on that day Enska invited me out on a hunt to kill some Atrax and some Longu with some other Perseus members. I grudgingly agreed since it's been yonks since I was on a team hunt, yet my current lack of PED and ammo was holding me back. I figured it was "all or nothing". Maybe we'd be lucky on loot. So anyway I met Enska at Nates... he just stood there for a little while before orbiting me to look at the change - probably laughing his ass off at my new appearance, seeing as he PM'd me something along the suprised lines of "OMG! you've got HAIR!"

Yes Enska, if you're reading this... I could see you laughing! >_>

As for the hunt, it went reasonably well. One notable thing was coming into contact with an Atrax Prowler which wiped us all out. But determined as we were, we kept on going back to kill the damned thing. Our reward? Just over 2PED. Bah! But even that poor loot didn't make the rest of the hunt bad. Using the remainder of my A-103 and 2000 ammo I broke even. I got all the money for decay and ammo back on my PED card. So really all that hunt did was transfer some of the PED locked in my items back onto my PED card. Which is useful, you have to agree.

I soon ran out of ammo, and quit the team. Headig back to Nates, I decided to check the auction just in case there may be some good deals on. But to my suprise, the auctioneer seemed to be rather short:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Sadly I had other things to do than point and laugh at the vertically challenged auctioneer... so I had to leave.

Speaking of bugs, I've experienced two more interesting ones recently. One where I somehow appeared as an Armax on my screen:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

From experience I can honestly say life as an Armax is not fun.

But the best one was when MA gave me my new armour. Yes. I have my own Modified Dragon armour. Check it out:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]
[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Not sure what actually caused it, but it seems that the shape and design of my Jag / Vigi armour was put on my body, but was textured using the Dragon armour texture. It resulted in this rather funky looking armour which I call "Modified Dragon" and as far as I know it's the only set in game. Mmmmm unique armour goodness. Do I hear someone bidding at TT+60K?

Seriously MA - change the standard Dragon armour into this design. It looks far cooler!

And so ends this entry of Arokhs Adventures. So I've gained hair, seen a dwarf auctioneer, been turned into an Armax and gotton unique armour. Good few days I think!

New entry, and a new sig. Yep, I finally got off my ass (proverbially) and re-did my sig. The old one was done in MS paint, and the new one in PaintShop Pro.... which has far more tools and effects for me to play with. So behold my new sig, which IMO is better done than the old one. So, do ya like it? Huh? Huh? :poke::tongue2:

Anyhoo, after logging in yesterday I somehow ended up at Billy's. I have no recollection as to why, but nonetheless I was there. There was some kind of PvP event on in the ring, and since I had nothing better to do.... I sat there and watched. I was tempted to join in using my ASG-1 Pig, but I really don't have the luxury of wasting PED these days. Soon qc came and joined me to watch the event as as we were sat there, converstion kind of drifted to skills. I'm one skillgain way from gtting another level in Agility, and the conversation of skills motivated me to go out and get it. But where to go?

I TP'd to Minopolis, intending to skill on some low level mobs out there. Well there I was in Mino when I noticed a familiar sounding name in chat.... Johnny Proud. Whom happens to go by the name Dom_sufc here in EF (Because I'm lazy, I'll refer to him as Dom from now on). Well we got chatting and one thing led to another... well, we ended up teaming up to go on a hunt. I mean why not? Sadly it was left up to me to make the team which meant it took ages since we were a little undecided as to what the rules would be. In the end we settled upon Equal PED and Random Items. Which was fair since we were both using the same guns.

First target - the Armax to the South. Things didn't go too badly there, since loot was pretty much average. All was going well until we stumbled across an Armax Bull Provider. These things are about my limit as far as Armax go. Unfortunately my emergency gun had run out of ammo and so we were left to kill this beast with only Opalo and A-104's. We got it down to about a tenth of it's health... then it killed us.

Well, not to be beaten by a cheapass mob with "upgraded" AI, we used our TP chips to get back to the position of the Armax. Sadly we ended up TPing into a bunch of Atrax Guardians and Gokibsagi Providers. Atrax up to Alpha I can handle, but Gokis still kill me easily. Cue another trip back to the revival. This is when we decided to pack it in, since constant trips back there resulted in our deaths. Besides, loot had been going downhill around that area anyway - there was no need to waste PED in a 'dead' area. Thus we decided to had back to Mino and go to Argus to hunt some Cornundacaudas on the beach there.

Loot around Argus wasn't too bad - a few 2PED loots, lots of PEC, some armour parts... and of course a little competition from other hunters. It's the only thing I don't like around there, since when hunting I dislike having lots of other green dots on my map. One interesting part of the hunt there was the invisible bug that affected Dom (nice cloaking armour BTW!):

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Oh and how could I forget, I did play a rather mean joke on him there. I won't mention the full details, since I don't want people getting a cheap laugh off him. But let's just say.... Dom, Cornundacaudas don't loot DOA Foerippers. lmao :D

Well loot there started to go down, and so Dom suggested we tried bigger corns East of Phoenix. Well why not? In the end we didn't just kill corns - we also ended up shooting at some Feffoids too, one of which looted 20PED and another 10PED. Things were looking very good loot wise, and we were sure that a global from the Corns was iminent. We were right. Two other people globalled on Corns. lol. Ah well...

So we moved onto Molisk around the Limnadian District. Loot was mediocre there.... until that is we golballed for 140PED. Dom posted it in the HoF section here, and here is the same event from my perspective:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I'm very happy at getting that. Loot has sucked for me over the last month or two, but I guess that's a good thing. Makes you appreciate the global a whole lot more! Well that just made our day... but sadly we couldn't hunt much more due to low ammo so we headed back to the outpost. On the way there we came across a Rippersnapper Old that was moving around out of water. Man. We spent over 1K ammo and about five or soe minutes chasing this damned fish around. LOL. It was nigh on impossible to hit, but since we'd wasted ammo on it already, we were determined to kill it. We got it down to very low health, but sady it managed to get in range of the the outpost turret. What a waste.

From there we also hunted the Allos nearby, where I looted an ESI. But by that time it was late at night, so we decided to end it there. Shame. I was sure theere was another global in that area!

Overall I spent about 90PED ammo, and A-104 and an A-103 amp. In return I got about 200 or so PED back (including ESI). So it was a very good night. I must say the hunt was very fun - we had a bit of a laugh. ;)

At least now I have one or two more PED to play with.

The forum works!

For the last three or four weeks... or since whenever I was last on, all I got was a page cannot be displayed error. I don't know what settings MindBuster played with *glares at MB* but the forums working now. Though I'm having to use a proxy to use this site again. Did anyone miss me? :D No? I see.... so nice to know I'm loved. >_>

This'll be more of a generic post than anything, seeing as:
1) This post'll be waaayyyy too long if I type up everything that's happened in the last few weeks.
2) You'll be way too bored by the end and I'd feel guilty for making you feel that way. Guilt isn't good.
3) I'm feeling a tad lazy right now. (give me credit here, at least I'm being honest!)
4) I had another reason but forgot.

First off... after all the hunting I've been doing, I'm so close to 110 health now, it's just not funny. My last health point came to me a long long time ago, and I just KNOW that one little point is around the corner. Don't you just hate it when your just so close to something? Grr. Hopefully it should pop up within the next few days and thus momentarily make me the happiest person alive. Happy until I go to loot something that is... lol

I've also passed 4K in Laser Weapon Technology skill. It's a nice figure to reach, and to be honest I never knew it that high in that area. I was under the impression that it was 3500ish... but that shows how good (or bad) my estimates are. Sadly my BLP tech is way behind at just over 2300, which shows how little I've been using BLP guns .Speaking of rifles, I'm also approaching 4K in rifle as well, since at the moment it's hovering about 3900ish if I remember correctly. So skills are coming in thick and fast... except for agility. I swear my avatar is cursed on that skill. Everyone else gets agility reasonably fast, but in my case it's a very rare occurance... sometimes it seems I get globals more often than agility. </exaggeration>

Oh yes, I've tried my hand at mining as well. I bought an EnMatter detector 101 and EnMatter Extractor 101 (ORE whatever they're called haha... aha... hmmm... pun) and picked up some probes. Then it was just a matter of going around probing as frequently as a customs officer. Newbie skills means no good finds. Best find so far was an ample of oil which totalled over 17PEDs worth. Everything else was a tiny or very poor. I can't expect good finds, but overall I'd say mining isn't my thing. It'll be more of a casual job - whilst I'm running to a hunting area I'll drop a few probes... or set one off in PA and annoy everyone by making the screen shake. But yeah... mining destroyed what remained of my PED card. I know, I could have stopped at any time when it was going bad, but I just carried on in hope of a good hit. Talk about digging yourself into a hole. Literally. :p

To cure my PED problem I've had to go sweating (sigh), and so far I've gathered nearly 8K of the stuff. Sounds a lot, but that barely covers the repairs I need to make. Guess it's time to sell off more items or even (heaven forbid) start trading. Hrm... just reminded myself... need more mind essence too. Down to my last 100. It's a peasants life I tell you... but one can't complain. If I hated it that badly I wouldn't still be here would I? Besides no ones said this game was easy did they?

Oops. I said "game". Mr Tim Welter whatshisface at MA won't be happy with me now... guess that's me stricken off any future HoF list.

Well that's it for now. There were some screenshots, but seeing as I was under the impression one could never return here, I deleted them. Still unsure of what the problem was, but seeing as I'm able to log in, I can't be banned. Hrm, MB what's going on? *pokes* Hmm? Hmmmmmmm? :D

Well a few things have gone on recently, more precisely a beacon mission and me taking on two new mobs. Also looted a ESI which has given me some PED to play with... enough for a few small hunts at least.

First the beacon mission, which I was kindly invited to go on by members of my old society - Perseus. I love doing beacon missions, and also there's the fact that it's rare I get the opportunity to go on a team hunt :)()... hence I decided to leap at this chance. I'm pretty much set up for beacon missions and hunting bots seeing as I have Vigi and have invested in a very nice set of 6A plates.

The mission was good fun, and I met a few more nice people... namely Kel and Paul. Even got a new addition to my friends list - Immoen. *grins* Shame the mission ended up not looting well. Apparently the maze level gave only one loot, and in total we got about 88PED and couple of Pixie face masks. But hey - it was fun, and that's what counts.

Given I have these 6A plates, I decided to see what kind of mobs I could kill with them attached. My first choice was Warriors, since these machines have always caused some problems for me. Now I have added protection, I was curious as to what generation I could take down. First stop was Zeus, since a nice variety of generations wander around East and South of there.... as far as I could remember.

But it's always the way isn't it? When you don't want Warriors around they're pretty much everywhere. But now I was looking for them, the things were practically impossible to find. I must have spent a good hour walking about trying to bump into one of them. Eventually I found a Warrior Gen 04 just strolling South of the blue forest East of Zeus. In fact it wasn't as hard as I expected - didn't even have to FAP. Sadly... no loot. lol could have expected that huh? As soon as I had killed it, a Gen 05 spawned nearby and charged me. *sigh* But to my suprise I killed the thing:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

It was quite a bit harder than the 04, but still doable with a little FAPing. Next I tried to track down an 06 to see if it could be doable... well turns out it's not. I found one a bit further South from where I'd killed the other two generations and after a battle in which I had to constantly switch between Mk2 and FAP... I snuffed it from a critical hit. So 06's are just a little out of my league at the minute.

I also came across a mob I've not hunted before - Aetherex. I found it whilst wandering about East of Nymphtown. In case you're unsure of what these things look like:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Now I had to use Rascal Armour and 2A plates for these mobs, since they apparently do 100% impact damage. Even so, they HURT! The olds were averaging 25 to 30 damage on me. The first one I killed looted rather well- 11PED and an Aetherex skin which was worth 4.20PED if I remember rightly:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I managed to kill ten or so of these creatures until an Aetherex Dominant and Guardian decided to do a combined attack. Suffice to say I died horribly. Turns out I can handle up to Old when using my MK2+A-104. I could probably go up to Provider or Guardian if I used a Delta+Beast... but that test'll have to wait.

So what plans have I got to hunt now? I'm considering more Hiryuu or Nexnecis again. Although perhaps I should wait until loot improves. Speaking of which anyone fancy going on a one or hunts? I'm sick to death of constantly solo hunting. Yes, I do group sweating now and then, but not that many hunts... so if you feel like going on one, send me a PM or something - either here or in-game. I don't mean like every day, but ya know an occasional one would be nice. I need some variety before my sanity wears thin.... unless y'all trying to avoid me? =/

I also was considering mentoring. I was reserving my mentoring time for when my friends joined from elsewhere online... but seeing as most still refuse to come and try out the game, I could be waiting forever. Hrm... I'm in two minds whether or not to do this. Reckon I'm the mentor sort or not? *shrugs* Depends how tolerable I am. lol

Been a while since I updated.

Firstly before I properly start this entry, I'm wondering if there's anyone else who has a LiveJournal account? Something I started a few days ago and began wondering if there's any EU members I could friend? Yes, a journal about real life stuff, so if you're interested PM me.

I was in Atlantis recently and noticed another avatar called Arokh. Well.... missing the "h" off the end of the name. Incidentally I have met ths avatar before and I can't remember if I mentioned it here. Well we chatted and in fact he wanted my name but the registation wouldn't allow it seeing as I've already beat him to it. I know that people have similar names often enough, but how many people have this one? And whilst I'm thinking about it, how many people have a dragon name? Nice to know I'm in the minority. >_>

Anyway, one part of Eudoria got me curious. That blue part in the West. I've never ever been there before and I thought it was worth checking it out. now if you've been reading this diary you'll know my PED card is rather light nowadays. But I decided to risk every last PED I had to investigate this new area. I TP'd to Orthos and began following the river up North West. I got about halfway to my dstination when I noticed something...

Guess who had forgotton to buy ammo?

Going without ammo would make any fights later on a tad difficult. So I had to turn around and go back for some. Don't you just hate it when that happens? Well serves me right for rushing. it wasn't long before I was back with the ammo, and fed up of swimming I decided to move onto land to see what mobs were in the area. The first I bumped into was a Merp... well... it bumped into me. Stupid thing ran at me - completely unprovoked too. It met its end quickly enough. But before I even had the chance to do anything else a Maffoid ran at me as it spawned in. To my suprise it looted rather well:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Thanks MA! First solo global in a few months! At least that'll keep me playing a bit longer and stop me from whining about loots for a few minutes. :D

Sadly things went a bit... now what's the technical term... tits up from here on. As I continud towards the blue area, I got rushed by several Drone Gen 07's. My first mistake was leaving my 6A plates in storage. The second mistake was finding out my amp was broken. The final mistake was trying to beat them off with an Opalo rather than running like a coward. I killed one (no loot) before I had my breathing privileges revoked.

Revived at that outpost on the far west, where it's surrounded by Neconu and Armax. Luckily the spawn wasn't too bad and I made it to the ocean. I also found out I can kill Armax Cow Guardians solo as well, since as I ran to the sea one charged at me. Nice to know I can kill yet another maturity! At this point I was very low on ammo, so I headed up North to Corinth. On the way there I found two things:

1) I can kill up to Itumatrox Mature solo. These things used to wipe the floor with me, but now I can kill matures with no problems. Olds take too much FAPing for my liking to consider 'killable'.
2) This tiny building:
[br]Click to enlarge[/br]
No estate terminal, no other players nearby. So I decided to claim this bulding as my own (I left a little something inside too. ;)) Then again, could these small houses be the residence of these really short auctioneers that are still about?

After the hunt I repaired everything and it turns out I had 75PED profit, which isn't too bad. With my new found riches thanks to exploration, I decided to check out another place not yet seen - the Thorio Temple. To be perfectly honest all I knew was that it was somewhere on Amethera which does make trying to find it somewhat difficult. Luckily I bumped into Enska at Wolverine... small world eh? He seemed to know where it was and he decided to come with me there.

The journey was very easy - the Thorio spawn was very thin and I only had to kill one or two of them. Eventually we got up onto the altar:
[br]Click to enlarge[/br]
We just messed around for bit and killed off a few mobs that decided to come and batter us with their clubs. Loot sucked completely! It was practically non existant, but at the very least I did find out Thorio's are within my killing capability. In the end we got killed by a Dreamer after we ran at it in an experiment to see how survivable it is. 93+ damage.

So yeah, the last day or so has been one of exploration.

Yet another entry. Two things to start off with:

-No screenshots. Because EU now no longer allows Alt+tab, I can't take screenshots using the old print screen method. Not that it matters, seeing as EU just crashes every time I log out.

-I'm going to be gone for a week this Wednesday. Not that it'll make a world of difference in the grand scale of things. Plus people can enjoy the break of my inane chatter and presence in the society channel. No doubt there'll be a few people glad to see me gone for a bit. lol

I've also discovered the intense lag in EU is NOT MA's fault. You see recently I built myself a computer, and I kind of went the whole hog. High powered graphics cards, more RAM than a field of sheep... overclocked processor. Know what? EU is competely and utterly lag free. Even with graphics options set to maximum, 8x Antialiasing and 16x Anisotropic filtering, moving around Port Atlantis is smoother than.... well... something smooth. *is unable to think of a suitable example here* lol Now with the recent VU, all I can say is WOW! Seriously, all the new graphics that MA have placed in-game running on high settings... it's amazing. Favourite so far has to be the skys they've done - particularly around the Jason Centre, Fort Troy, Neas Place and Myrene Island. Plus the new lighting effects looks really nice as well - as soon as I am able to take screenshots again I'll post some pics.

Speaking of this new PC, I posted in Off Topic a while ago in the "Show your Desktop" thread. Yes, I had a cluttered desktop, but now check out my uber-sleek new one:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Clean, modern and most importantly - dragony. ^_^

So, back to Entropia.... and what do I think of this new VU. Well, mixed feelings about it really. I love the new graphics updates and lighting effects, and it's also nice to see some more additions to the weapons. As for this amp thing... at first I was a little annoyed how they could fix something that isn't broken. but now I've had chance to test the new system, I like it. A lot. My weapons are now much more powerful then they used to be. For example my ASG-1 Pig and a Beast amp now does over 100 damage per shot. FreanD Delta + Beast does 63 damage a shot (67 attacks a min!) and the GDC-97 does up to 55 per shot. All my BLP weapons have received a wonderful boost in power! ty MA! :D As for hunting I can no longer be economical and use the Opalo and A-103. Insted I've switched to my very first weapon in-game. My A&P Series Brave ME. Slap an amp on that and it's not a bad little gun - averaging 27 damage / 30 attacks per min on only 5 ammo.

As for loot... meh. No more PEDs and PECs, merely several kinds of gland oil, eye oil and skins. Thanks MA. You've turned hunting into an autopsy. Either way I've seen no real difference in loot... well, still pretty poor so I can't make any real judgement.

Either I havn't been paying attention these last few days, or I have some kind of memory problem. The last few days playing EU have been so... monotonous. It's unbelievable. nothing worthwhile comes to mind - with the exception of last nights party hunt event thing. There was a big hunt yesterday which as far as I'm aware was for a soc members party. In order to attend I had to sell off a load of stuff from storage to pay for ammo - I raised over 250PED! Shame I looted a little over 9PED total loot the whole night. *sigh* I had relative fun, but the cost has killed me. Only really got the gear I use left (and an apartment) and a few PEC's worth of items. Bit of a big downer on an otherwise fun evening.

People have played this game without depositing, which proves it is indeed possible to make it here without monthly payments to MA. I intend to do the same. Or at least try to. It's been proven it's do-able! Besides I need the cash for my travels through the US next year - which IMo is far more important at the moment than paying to play.

I'm back! (as if that wasn't obvious  ) "And how was my holiday?" I hear maybe one or two people ask. Well to cut things short:

-I crashed a speedboat (don't ask!).
-Got several insect bites, including one from a rather large beetle.
-A nice rash after brushing up against some kind of plant.
-A jellyfish sting after swimming in the ocean.
-Sunburn. Horrible sunburn. I'm actually grateful I dont actually LIVE on Calypso... with all that constant sun I wouldn't cope. ;)
-Tried some new meats including Crocodile, Ostrich, Impala and Springbok.
-Got some nice wildlife/landscape photos. I may post them up on my deviantART account at some point.

All in all, it was a good but painful holiday. They say "No pain, no gain", but... I fail to see what I gained on this holiday. I'm redder than a beetroot and short on cash again. But hey I'm still alive so it's not that bad. Just trying to guess what my next spontanious travel plan may be.

So I came back in-game not so long ago. And in a much better mood I may add - taking a refeshing break in another part of the world has done wonders. Unfortunately I've not spent much time in-game since I came back, but enough to do one or two new things.

First things first... I went off Tantillion hunting after a suggestion by a soc mate. See I plan to find a way of accelerating my skilling, seeing as I'm taking at a leisurely pace. I just want to build up skills a bit, since for the last few months I've been stuck around a certain level. It's a slow patch you see. So off I went tantillion hunting East of Twin. Now these are the most annoying mob I've ever come across. They're small, irritating and do considerable damage when they're in groups. A bit like children in that respect.

I won't even mention armour decay, because it's utterly rediculous.

Lootwise things were terrible (50PED ammo, <9 PED loot), but to balance it out I got incredible skillgains. For the most part my chat window was filled with green as I levelled up. I also got the opportunity to kill a few Tantardians.... which didn't loot. But it's a new mob for me to kill, so I can't complain. Killing and seeing something new is always a bonus.

I've also been out killing Falxangius with Scorpion. Yes, that's right. Falxangius. With no armour and no FAP. Am I uber? Heh, no. Did I do it with my Mod FAP and my secret 200HP? I wish! In fact it's the age old method of revive killing. But if it works, it works. How can one complain?

It just consisted of tagging one of the Falx Young with a Marber and Fire Forge until they got into close range where we shot at them with pistols. We died a lot, but eventually we worked the HP down until the creature was killed:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Loot? Well these things ALWAYS loot, and it's nice to know that when you walk up to the dead mob you won't see a No Loot message. Bythe end of the hunt and four or five Falx later we had over 30PED in loot each which just about convered the ammo and decay costs. Skillgains were good too since they're a pretty powerful mob. So I'm happy I chose to tag along with Scorp to kill these things. :)

Also coming back into EU I realised how much I missed the often bizarre soc chat. I just wish I had screenshotted the whole conversation a few nights ago... let's just say I hope MA or anyone else for that matter reads chat logs. lmao. You guys make me laugh so much! Gotta love the crazy people! *nuzzles* ^_^

Firstly I need to backtrack a little. Quite a while ago I got to the goal of 110 health. I took screenshots at the time but forgot to post them up here - most likely because the forum wasn't working for me or something. Nonetheless I found the screnshots I took and here they are:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]
^110 health at last!

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]
^Related combat skills

I'm quite happy at this minor achievement... especially since it's taken since late July/early August 2005 to get here (Also known as skilling at a MA pace!). Yes, very slow skilling, but as far as I'm concerned there's no particular rush. Getting 120 heatlh tomorrow or in a years time makes no real difference... so long as I have fun along the way.

Next goal is unlocking Serendipity which I'm planning on getting before the end of the year... with a lot of luck. Hence the temporary skilling acceleration. I'm so close to it. I hope, given I don't actually know the proper requirements for it. AFAIK it's 3.0 Hit Ability on a weapon or something.

Now for this video competition. Hrm. I'm tempted to enter this time around. However I'm totally out of ideas and I'm beginning to wonder how slim my chances of winning actually are. As soon as I get an idea of sorts I'll try a short film. If I feel it's any good then it may be entered, otherwise the 'delete' button will be hit. Speaking of something creative, I may even do a EU comic strip at some point - especially since I need to start sketching again. Although some inspiration for that is needed...

A bit of a short entry, but aside from skilling on Ambu's and Aetherex, there's not much new to report.

Wow, just noticed someone has rated this thread. Whoever it was, thank you! *gives you a big wing hug* ^_^

Last few days in game havn't been too bad. As some of you may know I've taken up mining - on a casual basis. I'm not becoming a full time miner, but just doing it to break up long hunts. I tend to do a long hunt, then go out mining, then go back hunting... etc. Basically alternate between the two. It's nice to be doing something different other than hunting!

Whilst I was looking for a possible good place to mine, I happened to see the horrible outpost East of Ithaca and South of Argus. You know the one. It's in the mountains and is surrounded by Feffoids and high level Atrox. So in a sudden wave of genius, I decided to get myself stuck there out of interest. So I set off South from Argus with 80PED worth of probes and headed for that outpost. I didn't find much on the way - only one or two tiny deposits of oil. However one small acheivement was finally maxxing out my MF-102 (160.8 depth) which isn't too bad, to say I've only been mining casually for the last few months.

Getting to the outpost wasn't too bad. The only things I found coming there were a few Prancers and low maturity Argos (Young to Scout). So as a reference, if you're ever stuck at that outpost, head North to Argus. It's easy to get out that way.

Now I knew there were Atrox at the outpost, but I had forgotton their maturity. Expecting Mature to Olds, I was rather suprised when I was chased by an Atrox Dominant intent on killing me. But the chase didn't last long. I decided to turn around and fight it... which was a good choice, since it looted 11PED. As I looked around, the only Atrox I could see ranged from Provider up to Guardian (neither of which pose much of a problem). So I decided to try my luck hunting.... meh. One 6PED loot, the rest either had nothing or one or two oils. >_>

So when loot is down, ming must be good right? So I dropped one or two probes and I soon came across his nice little deposit:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Small yes, but one of my biggest finds yet.

I started mining West to Ithaca, killing any Atrox or Feffoids I encountered. Unfortunately just before I got to the river, there was a MASSIVE blockade of mobs that I had no chance of fighting through (at this point I had very little ammo left). So I used my TP chip to cross the river.

Oh the ever cursed TP chip.

I rematerialised in the middle of six Feffoids, which killed me pretty much instantly since when the screen stopped being white I had already died. I half expected to revive at Ithaca, but instead ended up at an outpost North West of there:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I swear I've been to this outpost before! Either that or I dreamed it. But hey, a new discovery and an addition to my map is always welcome! After buying more ammo at the TT, I began mining back to Ithaca where along the way I found a 'modest' deposit of oil. So overall the trip wasn't too bad - seeing as I broke even.

Later I headed out to the Limnadian District to kill one or two Estophyll. After my little outpost trip, there was still 3.4K of Medium cells left in my inventory, so I may as well use them up. Now I began using my A&P Brave ME to kill them with to be economical... but it got kind of boring and slow, so I soon switched back to the more 'fun' gun. Just as I did, this nice loot popped up:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Best loot for a while! Shame the next few mobs gave me very little in the loot window, but it didn't matter. The hunt was coming to a close anyway, since I decided to go sweating for a bit with a few soc mates.

At one point we did venture into dangerous territory. I define 'dangerous' as 'Araneatrox Alpha'. I have no idea who annoyed it, but the thing ran striaght at me! Joy. A wonderful 280+ HP hit which killed me instantly. It was the same story for everyone else. Well. Almost. For some strange and bewildering reason, Mikah somehow managed to survive the attack...

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

...but only to be killed seconds later by an Atrax. I do believe someone spoke a little too soon. LOL! Priceless screenshot!

Well not a bad few days. I've been trying out the new windowed mode for EU, and I must say it makes life much easier to switch between programs and even multi-task. Rather than just focus on EU, I now can use MSN and even run *whisper*the 'other" game*whisper* at the same time and have a conversation there as well. Life has never been this productive! If you can count those activities as productive. ;)

Although EU is being a bit difficult to play recently due to lots of crashing to desktop. I have some graphics card problems, since the damn thing keeps overheating - and once it reaches 125'C it closes everything down so it can start cooling off. My best guess is one of the fans has gone on it, but I can't tell. The card is a nVidia XFX 7950GX2 and if you've seen a picture of one of these things, you can see one fan is hidden between the two PCBs so I have no way of telling if it's actually spinning.

After logging in I found myself SW of Ithaca. Having a few thousand ammo left in my inventory, so I decided to kill a few Atrox in the area. Why not? To my utter delight I actually globalled on an Atrox Guardian for 77PED. My first global this VU and the first one for a long, long time. Nice to see MA toss me a bone once every blue moon. ^_^

I also decided to do something a little different recently and go 'undercover'. I took off all my clothes and donned a Settler harness, some Goblin shins and went sweating outside of Atlantis. Sort of blending in amonst newbies, helping and healing where I could. Good cheap fun I must say, and it's nice to get to know some of the newcomers. However the one thing that does kind of annoy me is lack of manners from some people. When someone heals you for free, the very least you can do is thank them. I'd say a good half of people didn't bother saying anything and just ran off after I healed them. Needless to say they no longer received any further medical attention. >_>

Oh well, I guess I expect too much from people. But overall it was nice cheap fun going out as a total newbie again and there is some sense of satisfaction in helping out where I could. Met some nice people (well the ones who actually talked....) whilst I was out there, so that was a nice bonus. It's just nice every so often to do something like this and go back to the very basics. At the very least it's cheap. lol

Later some soc mates joined in the undercover sweating. But at that point there seemed to be an odd problem with the spawning of new mobs. In fact three times we were overrun with mobs:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Yep, death all around. Even if I had my normal armour on, I doubt I could have survived all of that. there was just way too many! Hope that's fixed before I go back out there tonight, else it'll just get a little annoying.

Now remember a while back I said I left a little 'present' in one of the huts in the Corinth area? Well I decided to check if it was still there, so later on I headed East from Hadesham and mined along the way to the huts. On the way I stumbled across a new entry for my map 'West Hadesham' which shows as a yellow dot on my map. Not much around that area exept a few houses. As I got closer to the hut, I bumped into an Itumatrox Guardian. Now these things really hurt. Through my armour they did something like 30 damage. But with a little FAPing, I eventually killed it:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

My first Itumatrox Guardian. ^_^ Normally these things kill me very easily, but I havn't actually fought one in a while. Nice to see that nowadays I can take them on without too many problems. The good thing about Itumatrox is that they ALWAYS loot... although not that well. In the three I killed along the way, they looted between 2 and 6PED. I also discovered that with the powerful attacks the 26 heal from my EK-2300 isnt quite sufficient, so I'm considering upgrading my medical equipment to something like a FAP-80 or EK-2600 so I can handle larger mobs. Hell if I can get the cash, the Adjusted FAP does look tempting. Then again that kind of cash could be used better elsewhere. Like skilling and repairs.

When I got to the hut, there was no sign of my little gift. I assume someone found it or it was lost when MA reset the server. But for the curious among you, I had left two TT Survey Probes there. Who knows where they went or who has them. Oh well, hope they were put to good use.

Yep, another entry already. Reason being yesterday was a little more interesting than usual, and no doubt if I leave typing up an entry for a few more days, it'll end up being WAY too long. This is meant to be a diary, not a novel.

I decided to do a little enmatter mining in the blue area around Zeus. So I teleported over the Camp Caravan and set off North from there. There weren't many finds, so either someone had already mined out the area, or it's just not a very enmatter rich area of Calypso. But as I got further North, mingin became more difficult, because a large number of dots of my radar were towards the North and West.

Luckily they weren't hard mobs, although to the North were a few Warrior Gen 05's. At that moment I got a mining find. Ooh! A IV of oil! Distance, 70m.... North. You know I swear these finds are rigged. Yep, the claim was North where these Warriors were. Out of ANYWHERE on the radar it had to be there. =/

I died horribly since I was swarmed by three of these machines. I can handle one at a time, but not three. I revived at that outpost South of Zeus. Well, time to go back to my mining claim. So I bouught a ton of ammo and headed back out. First mob in my way was plumategus Dominant... which looted over 30PED of eye oil and some of it's skin. Not a bad first loot! But finally I came across the Warriors and tagged them one by one with my Fire Forge and sent 'em to the scrapyard. ;)

At this point things seemed to be going well... bu sadly not for long. I met a Neconu Provider whilst I was still using my MF-103... which sent me back to the revival. Not that it mattered. Even if I were using a weapon, it still would have killed me. This time I revived there was another avatar there who seemed oddly friendly. Just for a little amusement, I played along:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

And for those of you who still are unsure, I may have a FEMALE avatar, but in real life I'm undoubtedly MALE. No, I'm not mentioning the avatars name here, since it'd be a little cruel to show he was actually not chatting up a female. LOL. But this guy seemed to be stuck at the outpost, so I helped him back to the North Space Base TP. Unfortunately as we were close a Warrior Gen 04 spawned next to us and killed the guy I was escorting. But good did come out of it. He revived at the TP and I looted 5PED.

After reaching the TP in one alive piece myself, I went off to check auction. Given loot was rather good whilst I was out, I purchased an item of furnature for my apartment. Wally Shelving I think it's called. I kind of got fed up of my apartments looks, so I moved a few things round a bit. Now it looks a little better, since as some people pointed out it looked a bit bare in one area. Now it looks something like this:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

hard to get a decent picture, of everything there, since theres more stuff to the left. Plus when you're there it doesn't look so bare. Always welcome for a visit - address is in my profile. (I can't remember it, so I'll refer you to where it's typed)

Later I decided to join some soc mates sweating. Now as it always happens, the sweating always turns into a hunt. You see as we were sweating, we got attacked by a rather nasty Araneatrox Prowler. Disgusted at it's rather rude behavior - interrupting a good night out sweating, we decided to go and kill it. Cue long range weapons and repeated deaths and revivals:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

But guess what? We actually killed the thing. Shame it only looted 8PED. Hoping for a better loot, we decided to go off and kill the Araneatrox Guardian we had seen earlier in the same area. Again using the same method we killed it.... only to loot 3PED or something. Seems spiders only loot well if you trap them. ;) lol

But some good came out of it. I acquired a new professional standing - Good Laser Sniper:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Not sure when it actually came, since I only noticed when I pressed "K" instead of "I" on my keyboard. My current rifle is 3953, so logically it must have come when I reached 3950 rifle skill. So this means Serendipity is very close to unlocking, does it not?

I knew it. I saw the future. If I hadn't have posted the last entry and waited until today to catch up with news, this post would be rediculously long.

So what's been going on? Well I decided to return to Twin Peaks to go and try and kill some Daikiba Stalkers. Last time I hunted there with Enska, the Daikibas killed us. Repeatedly. However some time has passed since then and of course I've acquired a few better weapons. And of course a nice increase in health. So I put on my best impact armour and plates and went out East of Twin. First mob I came across was a Stalker and guess what? I actually killed it!

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

(Yes, I know I didn't crop this pic, but I only noticed when I was about to upload. Too lazy to go back and edit it now I got this far....)

Loot? Some eye oil - value of which I can't remember. But it was something like 1 or 2PED worth. All I know is that it didn't cover the cost of killing the mob. Same story for all the others I killed, but on the bright side, skillgains were actually quite good.

Cue the next day (yesterday) which was... interesting to say the least. Now I can't remember what led to it, but Eventually I was stood in one of the apartment buildings in TI City with a few soc mates. As it happens I occasionally get comments from them that I'm always in three layes of clothes and always wear armour. So through a bizarre series of events Mikah let me borrow her green... err... 'revealing' clothing:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

And I do believe there is a priceless quote in that screenshot:
Mikah said:
Arokh has a nice ass

Why, thank you. And what about my avatar? ;-) lol

I am so glad some of my real life friends didn't see this. They've seen me playing as a woman and have already given me the title of 'warrior princess'. I'd dread to think what what I'd be called if they saw this!

So now dressed in my new costume, there was some debate as to what to do next. I came up with the suggestion of 'Naked Atrox PowerFisting'. Seemed to go down well, since it was something slightly different to the normal. We went our separate ways for a short time to get the right equipment from the TT. While I waited at the TP for everyone to get ready, I met TSEC - who was evidently impressed at the skimpy outfit. Either that or he's always a nice guy. lol

We TP'd to Reis to go and hunt in the Atrox LA North of there in the team I aptly named "T.V. Girls Fist The 'Trox". All the hunt consisted of was running up to Atrox and stat hitting them repeatedly with the TT Powerfist. Shortly after we begun, two others - Forgo and Scorpion - joined in the hunt. Now the Atrox had something to fear! Five scantily dressed people armed with powerfists!

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Suprisingly the mobs died rather fast - powerfists may be weak, but in numbers you'd be suprised how quickly things die. A while into the hunt we were hanging around the revival terminal. A thought occurred that if I was dressed as Mikah... shouldn't she dress as me? So a quick private trade later and here we have it, the 'Avatar Swap':

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Yes, contrary to what you may think, that's Mikah on the LEFT and me on the RIGHT. How good is that? A few people in the team were confused, as I remember people saying that as they saw my health go down, they went to FAP Mikah. Apparently it was hard to distinguish who was who. Yep, thats how good the swap was. (And no, I don't loan out equipment to just ANYONE in case you're wondering)

After a bit of messing about, we decided to fnish on the Atrox and head for another mob. First we tried out some Rippersnappers in the lake at Sakura but the water is bugged - you keep getting catapulted to the surface. So giving up on those we headed onto Allophyl that were in the same area:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

And that's about it for yesterday. Lots of fun, reasonable loot and a change of clothing. I really should get some clothing like that of my own...

===RL===

Crappy time. Yesterday had to go to the dentist, which is not a bad thing. Ony meant to be a filling, but unfortunately the drill bit which the dentist used broke off and got lodged in my tooth. Yay for top quality equipment. So half an hour was spent trying to get that thing out. Needless to say I wasn't happy.

Also I havn't done any sketching for a while. But in one forum I frequent, we have this yearly chrismas thing where the members draw/model one another with a christmas theme to it. Like an art trade. Sort of a cool idea, and being the first time I've taken part in it I was kinda worried about how well my final piece would turn out. In case you're curious, you can find it here:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/44271630/

:yay: Turned out alright - and judging from the comments people posted below it, it was reasonably successful. Shame the only thing I have to colour it was pencil crayons. Hrm, maybe I should practise more with colouring using the PC...

=======

So what has EU involved this week? Mining? No. Hunting? Kind of. Crafting? I hardly think so. The actual answer is:

PKing!

I've been hanging a lot around Billys recently in the ring. Having some spare PEDs and of course this rig event coming up, I decided to get some practise in. Besides I think given the fact I run around a lot on Amethera and PvP1, it makes sense to get a little practise. I think it's time I did something a little different instead of just going out hunting every day.

Not too much to say about this really, since most of the time it was just going in the ring and having a bit of a scrap. For those of you who say PKing is a waste of money.... meh. Sure, you don't get much out of it skillwise or loot. But the cost to do it is paying for entertainment. And isn't that that EU's here for? Entertainment?

I had the pleasure of meeting Mice from AoW, Mister Buffalo and DuLi in the ring at Billy's. Nice people, impossible to kill. I remember testing my ASG-1 on Mice. "Aha'! I thought as I fired the first shot. "96.1 damage!". That's when I saw the health bar. Still over 50% full. -_-

Needless to say before I could get off another shot it was back to the revival.

And thanks DuLi for chasing me around the ring with that bloody Unique Legend War Axe. That thing is SICK! lol. I've managed to avoid Akoz and that EVIL thing all this time. Until now. At present I have 110 health, so 201 damage was a little overkill. He also let me test out a few weapons againt Eon armour. ASG-1 which averages between 40 and 101 damage did 1. Repeatedly. Thus I come to the conclusion that if I met someone wearing Eon, I am indeed screwed.

Also recently Mikeemoo has been so kind as to teach me to PK properly. I've never been particularly good, since I generally play EU in third person and click on the health bar of an enemy to shoot at it. After about an hour or so I seemed to have improved a lot - which means I could at least put up a decent fight. At least now I do have a better chance of winning than I did before. A lot more practise is still due.

Speaking of this, I have been to the rig recently - mostly to check it out for this upcoming rig event. See what damage the Atrox do through my armour, how many are there etc. Luckily a soc mate and I went at a time where there were some fairly nice people - such as Burnsey. So long as you don't ask dumb questions such as "Any free oil?". The person who asked that got the answer in the form of Burnsey's Marber Tango. LOL. It was nice to go there and just relax a bit. Killing the odd Atrox.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

At one point someone wearing Shadow armour came and attacked. Yay. Normally in the face of such rediculous odds, I'd remove armour and just revive. But this time I decided to stay and fight a bit. With Vigi/Jag and 6A plates and my beloved ASG-1. :D Whilst the guy let rip with what I later found out to be an Improved Omegatron M2875 (I think?) I let off my first shot with the Pig. To my complete utter suprise, 40 damage. Through SHADOW. Second shot, 35 damage! And before I let off a third I died horribly. Yep, forgot to FAP - didn't see the point really, seeing as it was a fight I definitely couldn't win.

When I checked pe-wiki, I found out Shadow has rather low penetration damage. Shame really since my Pig mainly does penetration. Hell, if I can get my hands on an Adjusted Laganus Personal Cannon, I could theoretically kill in one hit. Given the damage I did, it seems safe to say this particular guy had no plates on the armour. Else why would I do so much damage?

So yeah, a fun week or so. Lots of dying and reviving. Met so many different people - so ty everyone for the good time! ^_^

And no, this all doesn't mean I'm going on the prowl to find people to shoot at. No. Mostly I'm practising for protection, so if someone ever attacks me, I can at least fight back decently.

Plus this PK week I came out with what I now consider my best quote: "Why me? Killing me is just as mean as killing Bambi."

Action-packed week, so this'll either be a long entry or a very rushed through one. >.<

Firstly I've been off killing a new mob for me - Troopers Gen 01 to 05 East of Argus. I've never seen these things before and had little idea of what to expect. All I knoew is that they were robots, shoot lasers and could very well possibly hurt. Turns out I did quite well against them, although they could inflict a nasty amount of damage occasionally. Mk2 and 6A plated Vigi was enough:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Got a few nice loots of robot parts - which I chose to display in my apartment rather than sell. They move very slowly as well, so if you have a long range weapon you can remove most of their health before they come near you.

I also joined in Powerfisting Stupid Mobs - an event which is interesting. Seems others have the same idea as me, and so I was invited along to fist my way through a few big mobs like Falx, Formidon and Formicacida. We died a hell of a lot, but even these uber mobs couldn't withstand the might of the Enknuckles A:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Loot wasn't bad, but apparently the team globalled five times after I left. Either they were incredibly lucky, or Mikeemoo was joking. If it was the latter, I feel stupid now. Glad I went along since I got a few new additions to my friends list which is always a bonus.

But the big news is that I've finally been up to Crystal Palace. Basically after ony a 10PED flight up along with the rest of the soc, I arrived at the place I've never ever been to in all my time here:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Basically for the duration of the stay there we were in one big team and went throughout the dones to kill the Aurli and Kreltin. Well that is when we did find the domes. Damn, that place is a MAZE. It doesn't look complex on the map, but when you're there it's very easy to get lost. In fact several of us got lost more than once and I'll be perfectly honest here and say it was blind luck we found each other.

The place is very much like CND in the fact that theres domes for you to hunt in and even a disco:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

That disco puts CND to shame. Mainly because when you press the jukebox strippers come out of little holes in the wall and start dancing. haha, that was amusing at the time simply because it was totally unexpected. But apart from the disco and domes, there's nothing else there. No windows to look out of even. Just a maze of corridors and a bunch of empty rooms. Kind of disappointing to be honest, since I expected a little more.

As for mobs, they were a lot harder than I expected. Mainly because I oly had Vigi armour at the time which is almost useless against them. If I had gremlin I reckon I could take the lower level mobs on alone, but that's something I won't know unless I go up again. Hunting up there is INTENSE. It's constant shooting and in only half an hour or so I had gone through 10K ammo... or something silly like that. It's very fast hunting because you get swarmed due to the rediculous aggor on the mobs.

We globalled once but in the mad rush of shooting I missed pressing Pirint Screen, so you'll jsut have to take my word for it. Overall the trip was a massive hit on my PED card reducing me to near broke (due to bad loot etc...) but it was so worth every PEC. I'm definitely going back when I get the right armour.

Oh and one last thing, digging through my old pictures on my PC, I found a screenshot of EU from back when I started playing. This must have been taken within my first few days of playing:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Yes, that is Atlantis. Looking at that made me realise how much PA has changed since all that time ago. Nice little piece of history there, that picture. ^_^

Can't remember if I mentioned this in the last entry or not, but I have finally surpassed 4K in rifle. Still no sign of the hidden Seren skill, bit methinks it's only a few kills around the corner. There's no way it can be that far off now. At times I wonder if I'd have unlocked it sooner if I hadn't have skilled up PowerFist and Pistol alongside Rifle.

After the CP trip I've been very low on PEDs. Which means I couldn't hunt, mine or even repair a load of equipment. However that didn't stop me having a little fun. Ever seen an Atrox being run through PA?

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Now you have. :D Status and I teamed up and went to Zychion area to get a few Atrox to chase us. It took about an hour to run them to Port Atlantis, since we had to avoid other mobs, turrets and sweaters. Sweaters. Now these were the hardest to fend off since as we got close to PA we had a few dots run towards us and start sweating. Something you really don't need when trying to navigate turrets.

To my satisfaction the Atrox killed those who ignored my warnings. lol Finally we got it into the middle of PA and the thing began to cause havoc. There were a few deaths, but we soon found out that the TP area is covered by the turret. It didn't go as planned, but it did at least spread some confusion in the area about what an Atrox was doing there!

Later after Status logged off I did the tip again, but this time didn't take the Atrox to the TP area. This time it was the mobile service centre... After a few deaths someone decided to kill it. But luckily people did see the funny side of it. Which I was hoping for, I mean after all it is unusual - an Atrox in PA!

Speaking of service centre deaths, in Troy someone (not me this time!) managed to get an Armax Bull Mature into the service centre. lol, absolute chaos. There was death all around as people tried to sweat it:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

It died eventually. But not after it killed several avatars and the one brave soul who was trying to kill it. Not bad for free entertainment.

Eventually I cracked and deposited again. Just in time to join a few of my old soc mates for a beacon mission that Solaris invited me on (thanks again!). The mission went through like any other, the hardest part was actually finding all the boxes and assigning levels to people... as is often the case. Overall the mission did go well and we left with a few hundred PED loot - enough to cover the costs of doing it. So I was happy with that. ^_^

Also lately I have decided to splash out a little. I happened to come across a rather nice Master Coat on auction made out of plumatergus leather. It's not often you see them made out of that material, and the price was very reasonable. So... I kinda got myself a new outfit. =/

And of course a new haircut (tonight) of which many thanks goes again to Pinky. Now I've got the downward spikes haircut. The style Ive always wanted, but was never sure whether or not to do it. Now I've got a completely different avatar, of which I'm really really happy with the final outcome:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Now I'm broke again. Until that is I sell off my old clothes and deposit another $40 or something so I can go skilling.... but at least I've got an avatar I'm very happy with. Chances are I'm keeping this look permanently now.

As for my old coat, check out my selling thread or PM me. I need to sell this thing off. Service history: Previous owner unknown, one careful dragon owner (;)), most likely a few thousand kilometers on the clock, colour lime green, absence of go faster stripes, probably waterproof, full TT value of 15PED.

Just make an offer or buy it straight off with the BO price of 300PED.

I havn't been playing much recently for two reasons:

-Not had chance to deposit yet and my coat hasn't sold :(.
-We're nearing our monthly download limit already (we have capped broadband).

Strange, I used to be able to play EU for hours and hours and hours, and the game would hardly use up any of our monthly broadband limit. But ever since the last VU, it's been eating into our 3Gb cap at a rediculous rate. Grrr. Looks as though my playing times gone down. So as much as I want to log in, I can't. *sigh*

I did log in to recieve my christmas gifts (thank you MA!):

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Unlike last year where I only got two gifts, this year I got the maximum you could get. The long green sparkly decoration, the oversized straw goat thing and 100 bottles of a popular fizzy alcoholic beverage. Much better than last year, only I dislike the goat (julbock?) present. I'm sorry, but I hate goats. Maybe it's because when I was younger I was chased by one (stop laughing! lol). *shrugs* I dunno. I just hate them.

As for the alcohol, I'm keeping it. As far as I'm aware its an (L) item, so once it's used, its used. Hence in a few years it may be worth something... or am I being hopeful?

Now, opinions on this VU. I'm somewhat impressed, since this is the second VU in a row MA hasn't screwed up. The only thing I'm not happy with is the new weapon noises, which I probably don't need to mention. It is time for a change from the old mundane ones, but at least MA could pick decent noises. I almost feel like stripping the sound files from some of my FPS games and putting them in the EU folder. It'd be kickass hunting with a BLP weapon that sounds like an M60 (for the ML-35's Camo's), TAR-21 (for the AS series / GDC97) or even an M242 25mm chain gun (ideal for the Ravenger series!). Problem is that plan is against the EULA. :(

And I have to laugh. The skill system slows down as soon as I'm close to unlocking Seren. *shakes fist at MA* Yoooooouuuuu evil people! >.<

On to some other stuff. As I logged onto deviantART today I had a wonderful suprise. Remember a few posts back I did that forum art trade thing? Well as it happens friend had to draw me. The result of which can be seen here:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/45259591/

:yay: Really really happy now! That's automatically one of my fave christmas presents this year! Y'know there are a few good artists on this forum (you people know who you are!) and you really don't know how tempted I am to ask for a paid comission. But to be honest I'm afraid to ask. :ahh: I hate being somewhat shy.

Anyway in case I don't get back in game or my internet cuts out before... hope y'all have a nice christmas and new year. ^_^ *pounces* Have a few drinks for me! ;)

First post of the new year. Hurrah, broadband works again, and no longer do I have to try and play EU on a connection speed of 4Kbps (think you've all seen LAG before? lol)

Good thing is my old lime coat has sold for TT+220PED which has given me some money to play with for a while. Rather then blow throught it all in a few hours using that Mk2, I decided to have a go with that new Breer 3a. You know start to play a little more eco for skilling, but still use the big guns for fun hunts. Fun hunts being defined as shooting tiny mobs with an ASG-1, or taking on much tougher mobs that I can normally take at the expense of decay. Basically new and ingenoius ways to waste cash in the shortest amount of time (without going into crafting....;))

I like the Breer. After using a lot of guns, this in comparision is boring but at least it hits near enough every time with maximum damage. On the three 100PED hunts I used it on, I came back with at least 20PEDs profit. Either I'm in a lucky phase, or this guns eco enough to have some effect on income. Given my lucks not the best in the world, I'm willing to bet it's the latter. ;)

Recently there was a team hunt thing in PVP1... aim of which was to loot a load of beauty items. But rather than just kill the creatures that looted those items, we ended up killing anything that moved there. *shrugs* So much for that plan. We did bump into a couple of green dots at the beginning, but to start with we ignored them. Until that is something like blood lust fever began to set in. The poor next green dot we came across had it in for him... poor guy. Before I even got near him he'd already been shot in the face with a Breer. LOL

Out of all the weapons... a Breer. I guess the only worse thing to be killed by is an Opalo. Or that M2100.

Shortly afterwards we came across someone else whom this time was shot by the (apparently) innocent/pacifist Mikah. I think at this point hunting for beauty products was forgotton, since now we were hunting any dot that was green. Unfortunately the area seemed to be clear of players so it was back to normal hunting. It wasn't too long before we got a global around 60-70PED:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I would have got a better screenshot but I thought I'd just levelled up or something! Grrr. A few times now I've got those green swirls and I've hit 'print screen' and excitedly looked to see what loot I'd got... only to find I've reached level 2 in mutant investigator or something lame like that.

Also looted some nice robot parts in that hunt to add to my collection - such as weapon sights, heatsinks and weapon grips. My apartments slowly becoming a scrapyard! Maybe if I gather enough parts I could eventually build my very own robot to help kill mobs... like... a kind of hunting bot... ooh, touchy subject, lets not even go there! :D lol

Shortly after that hunt I was invited to join a beacon mission. I love going on these things and PEDs permitting, I leap at a chance to go on one (hint hint for all those of you who have a beacon and need an extra team member!). This one was a 25PED I think, so it was fairly easy. In fact we did it rather quickly - something like half an hour, compared to the usual slower pace.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Yeah a screenshot to illustrate the story, although right now it doesn't really fit in too well (I hit print screen randomly). Apart from that this was the level I had to loot.

In the end we ended up with something like 37PED each. Not bad considering in total I spent around 30ish PED, so again a profit. Yay. No particularly good items looted - just crap armour and lots of robot residue. *sigh* When can I loot one of those gauss guns?

Damn, I'm typing up a diary entry now beacuse I need a break from PMing. lol As you're probably aware I'm organising these hunting/PK teams for the newbie rig event, and as you can imagine I'm having to send out / reply to lots of PMs to get this thing sorted. Still... any more volunteers? I promise I'll behave myself if you end up on my team.

Honest.

So... what's new so far? Well I've got an extra health point at long last, bringing me up to 111 total HP. Yay! every health point is appreciated and I inted to get to at LEAST 130 - 135HP by the end of this year. A reasonable goal given it's taken me around a year to get 21 extra HP.

As I was slaughtering Exaro Stalkers in the LA North of Oxford, soc chat sort of drifted towards a possible hunt. Given I only had 30PED of ammo left, it was dubious about joining. but I thought what the hell... could be lucky. So I TPed over to Reis to meet up with Pinky, Dragger and Buck where we intended to hunt some Longu in the LA just south of there. We set off saying things like 'Loots waiting for us', 'lets go get that HoF!'. Guess what? First mob we killed:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Nice 110PED global. First mob! Well after that good start we headed deeper into Longu Land, killing everything larger than the average hunter. Sadly that global was out ONLY good loot - there were a LOT of no looters. So we decided perhaps it was time to head elsewhere and hunt some different mobs. We decided on Feffoids, so we TP'd over to Phoenix.

Hunt didn't start straight away, since we had to convince then wait for Mikah to join us. In fact for some reason we began to mess around and try the popular pastime 'Avatar Stacking'. There wasn't really much point in this, apart from I think Pinky had a goal of getting on top of that radio tower thing. That only entertained for so long before we headed off to hunt.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

As we began we were harassed by a newbie, demanding to be added to the team. He seemed to be going up to every hunter and demanding to team with them... even though he had no weapon, armour or FAP. I'm guessing he was trying to get free loot. *sigh* It got the the point where people were considering PAYING him to go away... man, I'm beginning to wish ALL of Eudoria was PvP. Thus any harassment could be dealth with by use of a gun.

Now whilst hunting we globalled again. This has to be BY FAR the funniest global screenshot I've ever got. Oh a nice global off a Feffoid. Hrm, so what d'ya think I got for my loot?

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

:cussing::cdevil: &@#% fruit! You see as that mob attacked I got temporarily distracted by some pappalons on the floor. No sooner had I picked them up the mob was already dead (it took mere seconds!). As usual the ONLY one mob I don't / hardly shoot at globals. :nutkick: How dare MA cunningly place some distracting fruit!

Still a priceless screenshot.

I've also been down to the ship at PA and attempted to help newcomer and answer questions. Because I'm nice like that. Sadly it seems I'm not approachable since either no one asked questions, begged or ran away. -_- Others just jumped at me trying to get on top of my head or something. So it'll be a while before I attempt to help newbies again... too annoying.

So... whats been goin on in the last few days? I'd be lying if I said anything interesting... but of course that doesn't include yesterday which involved the newbie TP run, followed by suicidal hunting.

Luckily I'd last logged off to Atlantis so all I had to do was lag my way over to the shopping mall, then rubberband myself up to the second floor. Luckily I made it there to meet up with others who were going on the run. Seems that so long as I performed no action whatsoever the lag was tolerable! I was half an hour early so I had the pleasure of watching a wave of orange swarm Smoerble for the race to win an Opalo. Poor Smo. I guess he now knows what it's like to drown in orange juice! XD

I think I behaved myself as well, since I resisted the urge to slap people who'd bought Settler armour. It makes you wonder why people reading the stats of the armour see the 0.5 protection it gives and think 'that must be good.' Given most low level mobs hit for 14ish does it ever occur that 0.5 is insignificant? *shrugs* I guess so long as people are happy.

For the run I decided to use my GDC-97. AKA the cheap ripoff version of the AS-97. You hardly ever see this gun around even though its crafted... either because it's rare or everyone else knows something about it that I don't. No idea why I bought it either. I basically got it off auction, fired a few shots with it... then stuffed it into storage. So I thought for the first time I'd use it properly.

We all met up at the stable after struggling to get out of the town. You know - the old two steps forward, one step back lag-fest. Eventually Ion got a team set up:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

(only screenshot I have, since just after this MS Paint crashed horribly and I couldn't restart it)

After a wait we set off across the swamp for Billys. There were more mobs than usual there, since more often than not the radar was covered in red dots. Mainly a lot of Foul and those hopping things.. Tripudions (sp?) if I remember. Normally I'm not bad hunting these, but the problem on this run was trying to hit the damn things. Because of the amount of people, the lag was intense. The mobs didn't move. Instead they were frozen, only to reappear seconds later in another position. So I couldn't get a decent shot in most of the time... except on the mobs that were stood still infront of someone shooting at them.

When we got there people were preoccupied at the ring for a bit, I was considering running in there all guns blazing, but given the kind of people there my survival rate was low at best. lol

Anyhoo, the rest of the run picked up pace and we were soon moving quickly between teleporters. However when we got to East Scylla I went off to join in a soc hunt... besides gurads weren't needed at this point since we had 12 guards and only 5 newbies. So I TP'd off to Minopolis in preparation for a spider hunt. We got quite a good turnout, but it turns out Pinky didn't have a long range weapon. Apparently her scissors are a close combat weapon, so I let her borrow my Fire Forge. She insisted on some collateral for the gun, and in return I got the hair stylist toolkit.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I've never had so much fun with an item in EU before. lol. Maybe I'm just easily pleased. Looks like I'm the new stylist... anyone care to volunteer for me to give 'em a quick trim? :D

The revival-killing spider hunting went well... we got reasonable loot for Spiders an on top of that:
-I died in a wierd position thanks to the PhysX. I never knew I was so flexible! o_O
-I noticed the new message when you hover your mouse over a corpse. It now says 'The restless soul of...' Have I discovered something new here?

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Both points illustrated in that screenshot.

We soon got bored of spiders so we moved onto Falx north of Omegatron. It started off revival killing them, but soon we found out we were able to just tank them...so a first proper Falx hunt without revival killing. Even though at times there were a few deaths, you'd be suprised at how long you can survive against them in a team hunt. Shame the loot wasn't particularly good... :(

Slow few days, but at least I've done a few things vaguely interesting. Of course that's just a matter of opinion. lol

Anyhoo, I've been down to Atlantis a few times to chat with the guides. I don't know about you, but typing the same thing over and over again is kinda boring. 'Press Q to run', 'Press Esc to exit', 'Press that D icon to bring up the deposit screen...' So, I decided to go down and have a bit of a chat with them.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

After reading a few threads on EF it seems some people seem to have a problem with these guides - you get some people typing 'It's all lies!", "They're scammers!" or something into all chat. All I can say is get off their backs. They're only doing their jobs. I don't think you'd be that happy if you were being heckled whilst doing yours. Besides, that's not a very good impression for newcomers, seeing players make those kind of comments.

Anyway one reason I did go down there is to chat with them about this upcoming rig event. Now whenever you get a gathering of people in EU, there's either incredible lag, everyone gets kicked off and reallocated to another server... or the servers blow up all together. But by giving them a bit of a warning about this upcoming event, hopefully MA can do something about it so we don't all lag out. So with a bit of luck we should have an event that'll run reasonably smoothly.

Speaking of that event I've been spending more time practising PKing so I can at least put up a little resistance before being shot. So Billys is where I've spent most of my time this week in the ring, blasting away, reviving... you know the usual. However as always you get some little sod trying to ruin it. I'm not sure we can name avatars here on EF anymore, so I'm afraid I'll have to keep Mister Kim's name private. This particular avatar stands just outside the ring shooting inside. Obviously he can harm you, but you can't shoot back because he's in the safe zone. He's interrupted/ruined countless fights and generally irritating quite a few people by doing this. Seems to me he's too afraid to go in the ring himself and fight properly. Seems most eunuchs have more balls than him. :handjob:

At one point I actually caught him run into the ring when no one else was there (shock, horror!), so I took the opportunity to chase him with my ASG-1. As he was in-line for the shot, I pulled the trigger and.... BLAM! Blue screen of death. My computer crashed. LOL I mean out of all the moments it could have happened I get one of those lame blue screens. *sigh* Cue a restart, and unsuprisingly I logged in dead with no sign of the guy anywhere. Bah!

Later on I was prowling around the outskirts of PvP3 (yes the lootable area) for a reason that I can't remember. At one point on the outskirts of the contaminated zone, I heard an explosion sound and someone in ghost armour rematerialised from using a TP chip. Noticing they were very much within the contaminated zone, so I took a chance. After using my anti-toxic shot I ran at them. We had a bit of a scuffle on a hill, running in circles trying to get a shot in.I managed to get two consecutive shots off and:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

:woohoo: My first ever PvP3 loot. I'm guessing this guy had TPd back to a service centre to offload some supplies, and was going back into the zone. It's a shame I didn't catch him earlier else I probably would have globalled.

*grins* I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it!

Also I've been off hunting Drones/Warriors around the Jason Centre. Seems MA have moved the spawn more West and have included higher level drones (up to the occasional Gen07). In Vigi+6A these enemies pose absolutely no problem, so I spent a good few hours hunting these bots. Only problem is the masses of other hunters on the radar. I don't know about anyone else, but I hate hunting when there's green dots on my radar. Before the place wasn't too bad, but since the VU the number of people there seem to have increased. This is the problem:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

On that screen just towards the top someone had died because they had been swarmed with what turned out to be Drones 04-06's. You can see most of them all running towards me... I just don't want to have to deal with swarms of mobs aggro-ing onto me when someone dies. Can't complain though. One of those drones looted 7PED worth of low loss cable, whilst one of the others looted 10PED of gazz stone. Overall that hunt went well. After 100PED of ammo, I ended up with 98.90PED of loot... not including markup. So a good haul me thinks.

I decided to update this to kill some time AND I'm falling behind with this. And of course I'll no doubt be doing another entry about the rig trip... combined with this post it'd be too long.

Earlier this week I was asked to come along to help FAP Mikeemoo on a Second Entity hunt. Now I've never really been around these things much, so I didn't really know what to expect. Except that if Mike was asking for a FAPer, then they must be pretty tough. Hrm... word of advice. If you're looking to hire out medical assistance, don't ask me. I suck at it.

Firstly I only have a FAP-50 and 2300, so I can heal at a not so eco 26/24 heal at a time. And if people move and shoot I struggle to get close to them to use the FAP. Bah. Useless I am at that job, but hey - at least I know that in the future to decline.

Now at this point I remember I had little to do, and so I decided to see if there was any action in the rings. Sadly a lot of them were empty apart from the ring in Twins (like I'm going to set foot in there....), but as I arrived at Corinth a soc mate arrived to come and play. And so Dragger and I had a bit of a scuffle in the ring, throwing PEDs away as if there was no tomorrow. After the fourth battle had ended, we discovered that another soc member was hunting in PvP1... so we decided to team up and go hunt them. :D

We made a team and headed out to PvP1... ha. Easier said than done. As you probably know now, I have a cursed TP chip which makes me rematerialise in a herd of mobs. This time was no different - appearing in the midst of three Atrox Dominants-Alphas. Before I even got a chance to bring my FAP out, I died horribly. Luckily on about the third attempt both Dragger and I were 'safely' in the PvP zone and began our search for qc whom was innocently out hunting there.

It took ages, but finally after being given some clues we found qc at the very West edge of PvP1. Grabbing my ASG-1 I ran across open ground ready to shoot.... and took a Marber blast to the face. To my suprise I survived (thank you Vigi+6A!) and ran like a coward to find some cover. Luckily there was a hill nearby where I recovered a little health by FAPing like mad. It was Draggers turn to do the attack, and he ran at qc... unfortunately as I was typing 'Look out, she's got a Marber!' my team mate was down. :( Eventually after a long exchange of plasma fire between us, our mission was successful:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I'm not going to lie. qc did very well to survive that long against two people. Hell, if it wasn't for the hill I was using for cover, she probably could have won given she got the first big hit in on me. Hehe, it was all for a bit of fun, and pretty much an entertaining evening.

Also been doing one or two team hunts with Angela this week. However before we went off on the first hunt and as I was TPing over to meet her I got a suprise - blessed by none other than Lykke:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Well that said, loot may be good this evening! I met up with my new teammate and we went to kill some Feffoids at Phoenix. I had a feeling about them - it's about time they dropped a nice HoF again AND I'd been blessed. Unfortunately my predictions are about as accurate as a blind person playing darts. Pretty much all no looters, so we headed off to the Jason Centre to hunt some drones instead. Bah... same story there. Only this time we did get one or two that looted some residue, but not enough to even to begin covering the losses. Luckily I restrained myself spending too much since I was saving PED for the rig event trip, so at least the loss wasn't bad.

We also went to Zeus to hunt Neconu - a mob I've pretty much avoided. Not because I can't kill one, but mainly because I just don't want to. Far too costly for the payoff. Someone called Fefe arrived and was quickly added to the team before we set off. Well glad we chose Neconu, since the first one we killed:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Well that kept us happy for the rest of the evening. We spent the time around the East of Zeus, killing Warriors and Neconu. Unfortunately I could only choose one set of plates, and since there were more Warriors about than neconu, I chose 6As... hrm. Try hunting Neconu in Vigi+6A's - you get hit HARD! Luckily we didn't die that often, since most of the time we took one hit each before they died - more often then not death was caused by critical hits.

Anyhoo, had fun that night and I met two more nice people whom I had fun hunting with. Hopefully that won't be the last hunt we ever do. ^_^ Next entry will be about the rig event... was going to do that here, but this is getting WAY too long. (I'm falling behind with this diary!)

Now, the rig event. Yes, I know that happened a few days ago, and I know as such this is a bit of a late entry.... but better late than never.

Anyway after a brief soc meeting before the event I rushed over to Nymphtown to meet up with the people who said they'd turn up. As soon as I arrived I got flooded with PMs from people there, and my computer promptly bluescreened. Hrm... I could see this was going to run smoothly....

It was a bit chaotic when I logged back in, but luckily enough we managed to sort out people into four teams (1 PK and 3 Atrox teams). I'd originally intended to only have one of each team, but so many turned up we literally had an army of hunters! As soon as my team was full, we headed out towards the outpost South of Nymphtown. I didn't like to leave everyone, but the lag there was quite bad, and I think at that point everyone on the team was ready to move out.

We arrived at the outpost along with the second team Loc was leading and together we headed for the rig. Unfortunately it started to get laggy on the way there, so we thought it'd be best if the two teams split up and take the rig from opposite directions. My team headed to the West... the hardest way. Loc's team seemed to get to the rig quickly, but it seems that team had no mobs in their way. We had literally a FULL radar of high maturity atrox to kill off...

Fighting through them was way harder than we thought, so we headed the East way to the rig. I mean if we'd continued, by the time we got to the destination, the event would be over! However we were lucky to global three times on the way there, so I think that pleased everyone!

Eventually we got there:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

At this point I had no idea what happened to the team. A few got PKed, but the others.... I dunno. If I remember correctly we spread out all around the rig to combat Atrox, which was impossible with the horrible rubberbanding that was going on. And at this point I CTD again, and no suprises I logged in dead. (Who, or what killed me? Anyone know?)

I ended up at the outpost and began to head back to the rig. As I rubberbanded my way there, I had the misfortune to spend the long journey with a few OJs whining about the event. Comments like we weren't doing a good job to protect them from the PKers/Atrox, or 'ubers don't need oil' and 'it's stupid to deposit'. Not doing a good job? Id like to see them try and do better to hold off PKers and Atrox in all that lag. Besides we didn't GUARANTEE survival. As for oil... no comment (we all know you can't make a living off it lol). Really. You'd think after the time, effort and PED people put into this, you'd expect a little gratitude rather than a load of smartass comments. I'd have PKed them, but would they really be worth the ammo and decay? *sigh* Guess you can't please everyone.

I got to the rig again, but no sooner had I got there, my computer rebooted itself (reliable machine huh?). When I logged back in, I was back at the outpost with no team. *shrugs* Dunno what happened. Anyway as I was there I joined in helping the newbies back to a TP. here you can also see the wormhole back to the rig:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

And soon after that - the afterparty... which included tabletop strip-dancing. Note Spike/Safara dancing behind the girls in this screenshot lol:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Eventually I had enough, and decided to burn the remaining ammo from the event on a short hunt. Heading to Fort medusa, I weant to hunt the Estophyl around that area in a slim hope of looting some Jaguar shins. Obviously that failed, but on the bright side I did get a small global off one of the Allos there:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Far from the 1K+ uberloot that I've been after for god knows how long, but a globals nothing to complain about. No matter how small, they're welcome!

In many ways this is sort of a goodbye post so you know I havn't died or anything. Before you all start celebrating, I'm not leaving EU permanently - I'm off on holiday for a long time... around four months. So I won't be back home until 01 June. In this time chances of me actually getting on a PC to play EU is quite slim, and perhaps if theres internet cafes about maybe I can get on EF once in a while.

I'd say 'bye' to everyone in game, but EU has sort of stopped working for me. I log in, get to the part on the loading screen where it says 'Authorizing' and then a red screen comes up saying connection lost. It's been like this since the beginning of this month, and no matter what I do it just doesn't work. :( Unfortunately since I leave on Wednesday, the chances of EU working by then are quite low.

So, where am I off for four months? To the USA! :yay:

First off I'm going to Virginia for a week, to attend "Dragon Ski '07" - sort of a weekend of skiing with a few friends whom are... well, yeah. I think the clues in the name of the event. I've never gone skiing before, so no doubt this'll end in disaster given the lack of skill on my part. Hopefully (if all goes well) I'll also be meeting up with a society member at some point as well *waves at Dragger* :D

Then I'm off to Montreal in Canada for two weeks to stay with a friend - we'll be touring around that area, and hopefully doing a day trip back to the US to visit New York... being a tourist no doubt that'll involve sightseeing and shopping. Shame really... these USD's could be better spent as PED!

For the next few months I'll be residing in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with a friend. I'll be working at a small printing and graphics company there on a temporary basis, and hopefully have some time to perhaps get hold of a vehicle to tour the area a bit. Luckily a lot of the poeple who I'll be working with there I know from another game... so that should be fun! Then at the end of May we're driving up together to Huntsville which is like a three hour drive away to attend this years Rocket City Fur Meet - the same one I went to last year. Been looking forward to this. Three days in a hotel with various activities, group trips out and being pounced, scritched and hugged by a variety of people dressed up (yep, now you know where my profile pic came from!)

So yeah... that's what I'll be doing for four months. Probably a lot more than whats stated above, but I'm trying to keep things relatively short.

And I'll leave it at that. I'll miss being in game, but as I say, hopefully I'll be able to find some computer to at least log on for a short time and say 'hi' to whomevers online at the time. Well... c'ya, and don't have too much fun whilst I'm gone! lol

*gives y'all a big wing hug* :grouphug:

Yay, i have internet access, thanks to Dragger letting me borrow his laptop. :yay:

As I said in the last post I'd do little updates here and there when I had internet access to let y'all know how I'm getting on on my trip. So as you've guessed this aint an EU related post, but does involve some interesting little adventures.

At the moment I'm in Leesburg Virginia, at a rather nice hotel with an internet connection (important!). Kind of down because Dragon Ski '07 is over, but while it lasted I had REALLY good fun with some dragony friends. ^_^

After a long flight (which to my horror involved a little kid playing with the aircraft emergency exit), I arrived at Dulles airport on the 9th, where I was picked up by some friends. I'll name them so its easy to refer to them when typing: Faelenx, Cyrex and Kresketh. Well Kresketh offered to carry my heavy and large bag from the airport terminal to the bus and then to where the car was parked. I tried to point out this bag had wheels so he didn't have to struggle carrying it.... but he couldn't find them. I insisted it'd roll if you put it down, so Kresketh sat it flat in the parking lot and proceeded to skid it over the asphalt a few feet before proclaiming that it had no wheels. He hadn't thought to grab the strap at one end and tilt it so that it would roll on the wheels (which were located in one corner of the bag). Kresketh was dubbed "Wheels" for the remainder of the trip. lol

First task was to get some ski pants, and since I've not gone skiing before I didn't have any. So late at night we were rushing around trying to find some ski pants... fifth store lucky. As I looked through the mens section I couldn't find any of reasonable price (they started at like $190). Meanwhile Kresketh was at the other side of the store and pointed out there were some cheaper items over there, so taking a few to try on I disappeared to the changing rooms to try them on. Thats when Kresketh started laughing at the fact that they were WOMANS pants... which explained to me why they fitted so badly (even though they looked identical to the mens). While everyone was laughing at my mistake, I stuck my head out of the changing room yelling loudly about how they were trying to get me to cross-dress. I quickly realised what I was saying... but too late. Everyone in the store was looking over at me. Yep, embarassed myself in record time. :ahh:

Next day we got up early to go skiing. We placed everything in the truck and headed out to Frederick (nearby town to Leesburg) to meet up with two others - Chi Hurican and Drakky. Our car was full so they both followed us in Chi's car all the way up to the Blue Knob ski resort in the next state. Wasn't a bad day for skiing - little wind, few clouds and temperatures of -12'C.

Like me, Drakky had never skied before, but we both picked it up very quickly from Faelenx who was teaching us. In only two runs down the beginners slope we'd come from falling over and crashing into trees to skiiing at a semi-good level. I.e. making it to the bottom solo in one piece and not falling. While we practiced further with Faelenx, everyone else weht off to do their own thing on the harder slopes. After an hour or so on the easy hill, Drakky and I were getting reasonably good at this skiing business. Eventually we three met up with Cyrex, Chi and Kresketh again and went off to do the next easy hill.... which was much longer and bendier than the first. Big mistake.

I dunno what happened, but I lost control and crashed on a corner. As I began to slowly slide back down the hill backwards, I started clawing madly at the snow trying to stop myself. Drakky seeing this, decided to be a hero and come over to help me. But sadly all she did was crash into me, fell over, knocked one of my skis off and slid with me further down the hill:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Faelenx took this picture, laughing at our horrible accident. To the left is me after being helped up by Kresketh (middle) and poor Drakky still sliding down the hill (right).

We had a few runs down the easier hill after that, but then it started to get a bit late and everyone was a bit tired and cold. So we went back to the lodge and warmed up and took a few pictures:

Then we all went to a place called Bob Evans for dinner (a restaurant) where after a bizarre series of events we began to worship bacon (don't ask!).... I swear by the end of the evening all the customers and staff thought we were totally mental! LOL. I have pictures of the bacon worship and even a strange one where Chi was... well.... somehow trying to lick some bacon held by Cyrex... bleh. Really. Don't ask. We were hyped up on Mountain Dew at this point so we were doing pretty random and weird things. Guess you just had to be there to understand what the hell was going on. XD

Also today I met up with Dragger and his family (pictures yet to be developed). First time I've met up with anyone from EU. Must say I enjoyed their company - nice people. :) We went out to lunch at a nearby Pizza Hut and did a quick drive though the historic part of Leesburg - nice to get some local knowledge of the area, since I've been shown several places to go to eat etc. I'm planning on visiting there tomorrow, since it's not too far from the hotel to walk. So thats my week in Leesburg VA so far.

My description of this weeks rather rushed and badly done, and really doesn't do the experience justice at all. If I typed every detail, this post would literally be several times longer than it is now. But at least it gies you some idea of whats been happening.

Next stop: Canada!

Well what can I say? I've have been fortunate enough to be staying with a friend in Alabama who has a computer capable of running Entropia. Kickass! When I set off on this trip, I didn't know whether or not their computer would run it, and so was expecting to be out of the game for ages. Looks like I still have a little bit of luck huh? So yay! :yay:

So when I logged back in I went straight for feffoid hunting, since I've never really hunted them before. Sure, I've killed the ones that got in my way, but never focussed a whole 200+PED hunt on them. So off I went to Phoenix - the only place I know that has feffs close to the TP (someones being lazy! lol). Problem is feffs do mostly cold damage, and my armour sets protect againt cold as much as a T-Shirt would in the middle of the Arctic. Still, they do a little impact, so at least my rascal armour would offer a tiny bit of protection.

Off I went, and it was a pretty mundane hunt. The rare occasion conversation was quiet in soc chat, hardly any green dots on radar and the mobs weren't looting particularly well. At the point I was nearly falling asleep, I heard trumpets and got a 108PED global off a Feff Warlord: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58241

Following that I decided to try hunting elsewhere since generally after a good loot, its better to run whilst you still have a little profit. It's been a while since I hunted some bots, so I headed off the the spawning grounds North of Twins where Drones from 03-09 roam around. I've never killed anything over an 05, simply because I've never come across the higher generations. Unsure of what to expect, I jumped in and sharted shooting. To my suprise I can handle all level of drones, so no longer do I have to fear any robots. Still, the hunt went very well and soon I got two more globals: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58296

As you can see from that thread, I soon headed off south of Corinth to go and kill some Itumatrox... but they're so damn hard to find! After a good 45 minutes of searching I came across one Guardian which was a no looter for some reason. SInce when are Itumatrox no-looters? I thought they ALWAYS looted? Still, not being put off by the oddly low loot, I headed off further SE to find some more, but no luck. However as you can see in the thread linked to above, there was one Atrox that looted horribly close to a global. Closest ever loot methinks. Shortly after that I headed back to the TP since it was nigh on impossible to find any more Itumatrox. Its like MA has nerfed the spawn or something, because at least a few months ago you could find more than one every few hours. Oh well.

I then headed off to kill more drones and warriors, this time heading for that outpost SE of Atlantis where all the nasty creatures hang out. After avoiding aggroing a few Atrox and spiders, the bot spawn grounds came into view. Shortly into the hunt, a rather nice Mk2 looted which is probably the best item I've ever seen drop for me. That was the only good loot though, so after a while I decided it'd be smart to quit whilst I was ahead. For some reason at this point I checked to see where my skills were at, and noticed I had FAR surpassed the requirements for serendipity which probably meant it was very close to unlocking.

Now most of my skills are natural, but I admit when things were going slow I stuck in one or two different kinds of chips to give things a little boost past the slow stages. Problem is thats caused a few problems since now skills are a little weird... meaning at least a few K's worht of chips now need to be inserted into my avatar to make things work right again. Moral of the story: Only chip if you know what you're doing. I ain't touching chips no more - made neough mess of my avatar as it is!

But tonight seemed to be my night! Shortly into the hunt this unlocked:
https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58483

Finally just last night I joined Forgo and Loc on a Hogglo hunt.... to test my new little adjusted toy. Now this was probably the best hunts I've ever been on... the whole thing started well - three globals and one which looted a 19/20PED ESI which later sold for around 223PED:
[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Shortly afterwards, Loc left. So Forgo and I decided to kill a few more Hogs... which turned out to be a great decision. We got a 490PED HoF on one:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

My first PROPER HoF... which I half expected to happen on either the Hog I didn't shoot at, whilst I was disconnected, or got sent back to the revival terminal. But luckily MA decided to be nice to me and let me in on this nice little loot. Small HoF by todays standards, but I aint complaining. :flip:

This didn't warrant a new thread IMO, so I'll post it here.

I was merely logging onto EF to change password, but I figure I may as well post the events of this evening in case you wonder why I've cancelled a soc beacon mission and why toorged I'll not be able to meet you ingame to do the MK2 deal.

I was the victim of a home intrustion / robbery.

I was sat on the couch minding my own playing a certain popular MMORPG (other than EU). At this point the person whom I'm staying with had to go out to attend to something at work and apparently would be back home in three hours. Fair enough. So I get on gaming... and after what seems like a short time, theres a knock at the door. The place I'm staying in has no hole to look who's at the door, so I open it presuming it was the person I was staying with (Like they needed to be let in because they forgot some office item or something). Cue three guys at the door looking for someone.

Now this is where my memory is pretty much missing. I think as I said I didn't know who they were looking for and began to close the door... they rushed me and started beating me. *blank*

Next thing I know is a police officer and some medic shaking me, trying to ask questions. I couldn't really answer at that point due to TOTAL confusion. So I was taken off to hospital in the back of an ambulance just as the person I was staying with arrived on the scene. Anyway at the hospital I had to answer some questions and had to answer a variety of question. Most of which I don't remember. Soon the person I'm staying with arrives on the scene with a doctor... cue more questions and some test results. Shortly after I was taken 'home'.

Seems the intruders were looking for something. and when they couldn't find it, they merely stole easy to grab stuff like the laptop I was using and my wallet sat on the desk. Thats about it as far as I can tell - seems they failed in whatever they were looking for and stole easy to grab stuff instead.

They made off with like $50 of cash, two debit cards, my travel card (with like 440USD on it), the EU Gold Card reader attached to it, and whatever other crap I kept in my wallet. Plus pretty much trashed the rest of the house as if they were looking for something. But I'm alive... injured somewhat, but alive. Guess that counts for something.

So... since they made off with the laptop I've gone around changing passwords to websites and email etc. This was the last place to do it, so I decided to let everyone know here where I've gone. And to apologize to toorged for being unable to sell him the Mk2 I auctioned to him, and to my soc whom I was taking on a beacon mission this weekend. Sorry guys :(

If you're wondering about how I am... fine. Just several nasty bruises and cuts, a chipped rear tooth, gash above the eye, pounding headache and very dodgy/hard to remember memory. Turns out a neighbor saw something suspicious going on, so they called the cops. Thankfully.

So much for having fun in the US huh? :(

*waves* As you can tell I'm very much alive. Thought since today was rather fun I'd add an entry to this diary... even though I'm still unable to log in.

First of all MA Support. These guys do get a lot of bashing on EF, but I really must say they deserve a +rep this time. I sent a support case about my lack of GC reader ('twas stolen remember?) and pretty much on the same day they told me they'd ship me a new one free of charge. Just not that often you hear good things about the support dept (yes, even I crack jokes at times about them), so thought it was worth mentioning. Thanks MA! Hopefully I can soon log in again to chat to the wonderful guide named Zoe... I mean... Go hunting. Yes.... hunting. *looks shifty*

Plus now another computers been arranged I can at least get back into voice chat with other society members - even though I'm not playing EU. Its like being in soc chat again! Eventually I had enough of listening to EU chat, and decided I wanted in on the action to see whats changed. So I tried to log in with my old avatar. As you may know when I started my avatar was originally male... merely thirty minutes later my mentor told me to change to female to take advanteage of the cheaper armour. Thus the female one was born and the original male one was left to be locked by MA. Until now. Somehow I remembered the password and logged in to take a look around... wanted to see the new FAPs and other items that have been introduced. Heh, can't wait to get back in game to play around with 'em. :)

So... RL... whats going on in Alabama at the moment? Aside from visiting several random locations? Well, I've been skilling handgun. ;)

Today me and the friend I'm staying with went out to play with a new little 'toy'. A Glock 9mm handgun. We took a quick trip out to buy a crate of ammo before heading off to another friends house to do a little target practise. Luckily this person lives in a very secluded area and so there was no disturbing anyone else. We set up something to shoot at and the fun began. Since I'm in the army I was 'volunteered' to go first. lol

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

There's me as I was loading the weapon. And for those of you saying 'Liar! It's probably only a water pistol or BB gun!', look at the magazine. Mhmm. Live rounds. Then it was a matter of firing off a full clip into the makeshift target:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I love that last picture particularly, since the pic was taken JUST as I had fired. Thus you can see the slider all the way back as the gun recoils. Ignore my stupid facial expression - I was aiming AND concentrating (skilling! ;)). 'twas a good day of 9mm fun! We brought a 12 guage shotgun out a little later on to destroy what remained of the target. Sadly we only had about 10 rounds to waste on that. After blasting the bucket apart with about the equivalent of 700PED ammo...

This bucket carried no loot.

So, think YOUR hunts are bad?

Disclaimer: No humans, dragons or animals were hurt in the process. The only casualties were a plastic bucket, a chunk of wood and perhaps some bushes. I AM trained in weapons handling, so don't start sending me PM's about safety and such.

As for the incident in the last post... well the police never found anyone. All they were concerned about was completing and filing paperwork. My hospital bills came in at around $1700 (dammit, thats like a set of Angel armour!)... but luckily the insurance is paying out for everything. So no harm done - all my items can be re-purchased. So all is well now, thankfully. And if this GC reader comes in the post sometime soon hopefully I'll be back in game sometime soon. ^_^ (and get this diary back on track with EU-related stuff).

Got my Gold Card reader a few days ago, so I'm officially back in game! Most likely this little fact will have absolutely no influence on YOUR time in EU... but hey. At least it means I can start posting here about EU adventures instead of real life.

So, did anyone miss me? Free hug to anyone who says yes.

So whats been happening in the realm of Entropia? Well I did manage to get online a few hours before a society meeting, so evidently my aim was to get to the meeting place on time. Which was kind of hard, given that for some reason my avatar was stranded in the white area of Amethera. Don't even ask how I got there. It's one of those unsolved life mysteries. The closest teleporter was the Crater one up North, so I began the long journey back to civilization. On the way I bumped into a mob I've only seen on one occasion - Hispidu. Now a few people have said these things can be quite tough, so for a little challenge I started attacking a young one:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Turns out I can kill Hispidu Youngs 3/4 of the time without having to come and finish off the kill from the revival terminal. Assuming of course they don't crit me. Unfortunately loot from them didn't appear to be that good, so rather than waste PEDs in search of a decent loot, I continued to the teleporter. Seems the short Hispidu hunt had gone on way longer than intended, since I only just made it to the soc meeting on time.

After the meeting a few soc members got together and decided to run me to the new PvP4 teleporter. Thats good, since it saves me the hassle of finding a map, and spending a while alone wandering blindly through the wilderness until I stumble across a new location. All seemed well... until I realized the route led straight through the middle of PvP4. Great, lets walk through a lootable PvP zone, that most likely the habitat of the uber players and societies. Needless to say, traveling through this zone was no less than brown trousers time for me. But luckily we came across only a few green dots who seemed less that interested in coming to attack the 'Giving Arokh Love' team (lol). Until that is we killed an Attacker Gen10. Global!

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

At this point a few people in the team said something along the lines of 'Quick, lets get outta here before someone comes!'. So in a mad panic, afraid of losing my loot, I charged up my TP chip and blasted off... only to hear gunshots as the screen went white. Unable to do anything I just sat frozen at the screen, wondering what the hell was happening.

It turns out the rest of the team had continued running, rather than TPing out of there (which the chat at the time suggested we do). They got fired upon by some random avatar and as far as I'm aware got looted. *sigh* Kinda feel a bit cheap since I used a TP chip to escape now.

Shortly after the TP run, we got together at the Jason Centre to do a beacon mission. When I got that Hogglo HoF a while ago, I used the profits to buy something the whole soc could enjoy - a nice 29PED beacon mission. In total there was about six of us, and we headed off a little NE of the teleporter to activate the beacon.

I'll not bore you with all the details of the mission, given that most people have an idea about what a beacon mission entails. But this 29PED one contained Drones04-06 mostly, and instead of a Drone Coordinator there was a Warrior 01. Still, in a team of six the mission was fairly easy. Until that is we got to the boss. As we killed the last drone, the countdown started and everyone began to run to their assigned levels to loot. Unfortunately at the same time, the boss (which we had not killed yet) aggroed onto Forgo. This boss was a Warrior Gen09, which was a few generations higher than what I was expecting. Still Forgo and I finally killed it before running off to our own levels... hrm. Shame our levels were the lower ones!

It was a mad rush against the clock to get down to the bottom. We soon realized that with six people, we'd be unlikely to loot all the boxes. So the mission kinda descended into a mad panic of 'Every man for himself! Grab what you can!' Unfortunately we didn't manage to loot every box, but t least in the end we got about 35PED each in loot - mainly robot parts, ammo, pixie and gnome parts.

After the mission, we made a smaller team to go and hunt some bots East of the Jason Centre. Warriors, Troopers etc. All went well until Mikah died, and me shortly after (damn critical hits!). Seconds after I had revived, the team globalled! lol, always happens at the revival! Since loot seemed to be on a high, I quickly activated my TP chip and teleported in the direction of the remainder of the team. Sadly as the screen came back into focus:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Bah. Look at the radar! As if I'd survive that! I was dead before the screen stopped being white. So realising that teleporting wouldn't work, I started off on foot hoping to avoid any huge spawns. Luckily on the way there, I got a global of my own from a Drone 01:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

That's about it hunting-wise for this entry. In other news, I've done a few newbie TP runs and been back to Atlantis to chat with the guides/help newcomers again etc. It's kinda relaxing to do so, stood around chatting to people and such - it's free and usually you end up meeting some nice people. Although I had to laugh at this in the chat:

guide.JPG

 If you've ever chatted to me in game you'll know I tend to have a smartass comment for almost any occasion... lol, except this time. Okay. I admit, this time a MindArk guide has beaten me at my own game. House always wins huh?

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention... what are these little pictures below peoples names on this forum? I don't mean the avatars, but those little pictures of ingame items and such? Geez... I leave for a few weeks and something new and confusing happens! lol

Yay, another entry. And probably my last for a week or so... given that later this week I'll be spending a few days with Mikah and Status. No doubt there'll be little time for EU, so there'll not be much in-game things to talk about. Still, looking forward to going and meeting people I've known in EU for a while. Just hope they pick up the right person from the airport!

Oh, and thanks to those few people that PM'd me about what those little icons are one the forum (the little pictures of in-game items). Nice as they are, I'm not buying any. Maybe in a few years time after I've built up some more EFD after buying a custom user title. The only thing that'd motivate me to buy one now would be if there were a dragon themed one... but I doubt 711 would ever put something like that in the shop. *sniff* Unless of course.... *bribes 711 with some cake*

Anyway, this week I've been a somewhat low on PED. Okay, thats a bit of a lie. I've been chronically low on PEDs. Kind of my own stupidity really, since I spend a little on an Alertness skillchip, and inserted it... only to find it didn't boost HP as I'd hoped. Thats right kids, always check pe-wiki.info before you buy! </hypocrite> So now I've wasted PED in chipping a useless skill. Bah! Permission to point and laugh at me.

In many ways that little 'accident' was a good thing, since it's forced me to find forms of other entertainment in the game... *ahem*... universe. Rather than going out and blasting a few K PED into some mobs, or buying yet another piece of equipment I'll probably never use. So I headed to the New Arrival zone at Atlantis. Every so often I hang around there and chat with the guides and the new arrivals... as you can see in my last entry. To my surprise this time, there were a few people already there in a big group just stood around chatting. Before long my favorite guide Zoe came over and added me to a team that'd been formed there - PA Arrival Chat.

Now I don't know what happened next, because all I can remember next is that for some reason we all got on the boxes by the spacecraft and started dancing:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

I think we confused some newcomers as well. I mean think of it. Your first ever time logging onto a new game, and the first thing you see is a bunch of people in coats, dancing on top of boxes... :p

Shortly after that I took a run over to the sweat camp NW of Atlantis. I've not really hung around that area much - only been there once or so before to place it on my map. Early on that place didn't have that many people there, but wow... now it's packed! Seriously, you think Atlantis lag is bad? This is chaos. In the distance you see the blue lights after a group loses a fight with a combibo, hunters being hunted by the very mob they're trying to kill. Others running mobs to the turret in an effort to save themselves, only to be yelled at for killing a mob that isn't dry. People running out of the revival... still, it makes for an interesting place. There's usually some chat to get involved in, or failing that some 'drama' going on. Like people accusing others of 'scamming' because they're buying sweat for 0.55 instead of 0.6.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Only screenshot I have... seems to be a bit of a quiet moment. There were a few people there already, using mindforce to heal sweaters. I decided to help where possible with my own FAP. I don't mind helping out, but geez... some of the comments people give you. "Why are you healing me? What do you want from me?" "Stop, I don't want to have to pay you". Some people seem to think theres some evil hidden motive or demand for payment for FAPing sweaters.

Okay, I admit. You've caught me... there is a cost. Thats right. If I ever FAP you, you must sacrifice me three virgins before I get to eat your soul.

And for the record, if I was really intent on skilling First Aid and Diagnosis, the cheapest way of doing it would be by buying some more skill chips... rather than decaying several million FAPs. Sorry... sorry... I'm ranting now. Although on a much more positive note, most of the people at that camp do have manners and use the two key words people seem to forget - 'please' and 'thanks'. A lot of players there seem to be nice and friendly, it's just that now and then you get the annoying ones.

Later (after a rather steep FAP repair bill) I went to Argus to mess about in the ring. I mean 10PED ammo was all I had on me at the time - enough for a few minutes of fun. Someone at MA must have cursed me, or has decided to smite me with horrendous accuracy and damage. As if trying to PvP in the ring with intense lag isn't hard enough, the events from my perspective went something like this:

miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, 33.0 points of damage!, miss, miss, miss, revival terminal.

Bah! Using a gun capable of 101 damage... and the only shot that hits ends up dealing minimum. Hopefully sometime in the near future I can redeem my abysmal performance. I honestly do not suck this badly all the time! Still it was all in good fun, and upon hearing it was someones birthday, everyone in the ring went of to Sorg's apartment for a party:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

A few more people turned up after being invited from others friends list and society channels. It wasn't a bad party at all, and we even had some music that had been uploaded to some (PC) frames. Must say, that party provided some practice for me to audition for becoming a dancer at CND. Yes, I DID reply to that CND dancers thread, and YES I was considering applying. But seeing as there seems to be a little controversy over the CND dancers issue, I'd best leave my application for a little later on. See what events unfold and of course if I ever scrape together enough PEDs for a decent pair of undergarments. Hell, if I'm gonna shake my tail up at the club, may as well do it in style. ;)

Okay, that's pretty much everything I think - sorry for the long post. I'll post again sometime next week when I come back from Mikah's and have some tales to tell...

I'm alive. Just. Yep, its that time again - another diary entry. Which (since I'm typing this) means I'm alive and that Mikah is indeed not an internet serial killer. Yes, that meet went well... which I'll get to towards the end of this entry. So once you've read the EU-related stuff and aren't interested in a RL Entropia meet then it'll be easy for you to skip over. Aren't I nice?

So after a prolonged time not playing EU properly and making it home safely, I decided to log in and resume hunting. Now for the last few months I've pretty much hunted the same mobs over and over, and felt it was time for a change. But what? What mob is easy to kill, relatively fun and has the potential for looting big? Berycleds! Yup, those chicken/veloceraptor hybrids of doom.

Apparently theres a nice spawn around the southern outpost at Pandora. Oddly enough this is one outpost I never got around to getting, so in may ways this was both going to be a hunt and desert expedition. So loading up with some ammo, off I went into the desert and began the long hard walk to the outpost:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

That place lives up to its name. It really is deserted. Those two mobs on the radar were both Sabakuma Youngs, and were actually the ONLY mob I ran into for most of the way to the outpost. True, I could have just used my TP chip, but I figure that by using a TP chip I'd miss the scenery for the sake of convenience. Sadly I seemed to forget the desert scenery mostly comprises of endless sand, which is by far from entertaining... unless of course you happen to be a person who's easily amused.

After a long (and presumably hot seeing as its a desert) journey, I finally stumbled across the lone outpost:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Looking around I found that the journey seemed to be a total waste of time, given the total lack of mobs, and that now I was a long walk away from the nearest teleporter. Deciding I'd not seen enough sand for one day, I began walking back to the Pandora TP. However the place that used to be endless sand had changed. Now it was endless sand and a huge spawn of Berycleds. Its like a huge number of 'em had been just been mass teleported to one location. Either I had caught a new spawn of these chickens, or most of the bery's on Eudoria had decided to fly south for the winter.

Still, I got my wish and ended up doing a few hours hunting around that area. Sadly no decent loots, but hey... not all hunts go well eh?

I've also been hunting some Atrox/Atrax this week with some nice results. At Corinth I managed to get a nice global off an Atrox Provider (second or third mob killed after logging in!) Posted it up here: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67276

Also went Armourless Atrax Powerfisting today. No idea who came up with the idea, but its unusual so it has to be fun right? Only issue I had was that there was MAJOR FAP lag. I'd press 9 to switch to my FAP, and about 20 seconds later it'd change... by which time I was dead. Later I was unable to switch weapon at all, and even unable to use the one already equipped. *sigh* Although I admit on this hunt I found out that Atrax aren't as nasty as they first appear...

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Cute huh? lol Seriously, I want one as a pet. I could take it for walks in the wilderness and even the PA arrival zone for feeding (anyone know the nutritional values of a newbie or MA Guide?).

========

Okay, the RL bit. Don't wanna know? You can stop reading now. No more in-game stuff. I'm not going into too much detail here, seeing as Mikah will no doubt type something up at some point as well.

The arrival at the airport went well, although I did miss Mikah waving the sign that said 'Buying Force nexus 135%'. Apparently I arrived just in time, since some weird old man sat next to her was asking personal questions like 'where do you work?' 'where do you live?' etc. No wonder she hurried over as soon as I walked over to the baggage claim area!

Later on after picking Status up from work (and me getting hold of a Terra Verde T-Shirt), I recall meeting one of their friends/landlord. He seemed a pretty friendly guy... as did his cat. For some reason most animals have a fascination with me. Like even the most timid one will let me pet it.. and this particular cat apparently didn't like new people that much, but strangely the thing was quite content with me licking me and letting me pet it. *shrugs*

We also went to the mall, where we visited the Rainforest Cafe. That wasn't too bad, except I chose a seat that was right next to a drain and I was overwhelmed with the stench of drainwater. A quick move solved that.

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Ha, they even had animated gorillas too! (check out my cool dragon t-shirt!)

On another day we went off to take a walk on the beach, which was nice given it was a hot and sunny day. Until Mikah yelled at me 'you should get a tattoo!', before dragging me across the street to a tattoo parlor. Since I didn't want a real one, she decided to take me shopping for a fake airbrushed one - which we found in a few shops. I found a few nice dragon themed ones, but I refused on paying 150PED for something that'd last only 5 days! Though I failed on decorating my body, we did stumble across this:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

Closest thing to a real HoF!

Another night we had a bit of a party in another persons flat with a group of people who play another game. Although none of them could understand my tail. Ahhh.... the tail....

I have a tail that attaches to my belt. Whilst I have no objection to wearing it outside of furry conventions, others seem to question it. Some think its cool, others give me that 'wtf?' look. In this particular instance people seemed to be obsessed with it... and the night ended with Status wanting one too. lol (Apologies for corrupting him Mikah!)

We also went to a small theme park, where Mikah was INTENT of getting me on this ride of doom. "Oh, its fun. You get swung around and get to feel weightlessness and forces of 4g" she said "....and this one guy went on and got his ear ripped off!" I don't know about you, but that last statement shook my faith in the safety record of the ride. Also being flung about helplessly on the end of a long pole didn't quite appeal to me! So after refusing to go on, Status took my place on the ride... which meant for the rest of the night I was being teased for refusing to go on it!

Err... this is getting kinda long. So I'll leave it with a group picture:
