@mindark, is there going to be an update to stop autocraft from removing the blueprint from the book and putting it in storage, i just tried this and having to find my way back to my book to put it back in, isn't all that easy.

I can also see myself accidentally tt-ing blueprints

As mentioned in a previous thread on this topic: we are currently discussing possible solutions to ensure this new system will be easy and safe to use for everyone. Meanwhile:

The "protected" status is retained by the blueprint even after it has been used. You can thus avoid accidental TT by setting your valuable blueprints as "protected".

Yes put protect on all bps and you wont risk to tt them.

Yupp, this. I said before i just know im gonna tt one sooner or later, guess i didnt protect this one cus one bit the dust... so far. :(

I wish there was a buy-back option like in most other games.

Thank you for the quick reply. Glad to hear you guys are thinking about this. I guess i will have to go through my 100's of blueprints and protect them all .. what a pain lol. But happy that a solution will be in the future.

There is. It just costs you 1000 ped.

I tried some auto-con few days ago and noticed that I didn't get a system notification summary from the run when it was complete.
I think it would be nice if you guys change so your used bp won't be removed from bp.
It would also be nice if you could see the status progress of the run while not near crafting terminal.
Now that we have auto-con literally no reason not to add "auto-con" tool do you could do it anywhere, if it's easy to implement. That would be a big QoL improvement imo.

The name kinda rubs the wrong way though. "Con" part specifically. Did it not fit in the UI "Auto-Construct"? Or this simply an inside joke? 🤔

It does exactly what it says—cons you automatically, so you don't even have to be there! 🤣

Please when you discuss it take into consideration that some of us like this... when I need to find a blueprint to borrow or someone who rents it, you don't need to go into books or pitbulls or wherever your bp is... you just make 1 try on Auto and the bp is in the inventory without searching for it... thanks

Ludvig, can you confirm if this is still case or that protection is working as intended? I recently lost a blueprint that had been used in auto-construct, so it was protected, and then used in normal crafting before selling blueprints. Somehow the protected blueprint still managed to be sold in the TT without any notification of a protected item being in there when I went to sell the other blueprints.

I tried asking support about this an all they had to say is that they can confirm the item was sold and I'd need to pay 1000 ped to have the item returned. They made no mention of protection not working and just treated it as if I had TT'd an unprotected item. I'm concerned based on support's response that the underlying bug isn't being examined or escalated, so I'd expect other people will run into this issue if at least there isn't a heads up about what isn't working correctly in the protection system.

I lost 3 BPs to this and no, they didn't come out of the machine as protected, just regular BPs, which I then either tted or recycled. Should've paid better attention, sure, but at the same time the system wasn't working as described by the developer. I made a support case and they sent it to the relevant team...

Yeah, I'm definitely more on the should have paid better attention side too most of the time too, but when we're told the BPs are protected to alert us if the original BP accidentally ends up in the TT (probably easier than trying to get the BP automatically back into its book)), this is definitely a case of the game not working as intended.

I haven't been able to replicate it yet when testing, but it's sounding on occasions when you saw it, the blueprint doesn't automatically protect, so you never know when protection is applied or not unless double checking? It's either that or protection itself doesn't always work and you actually can TT a protected item sometimes which would be more concerning. I know intermittent issues like that are a pain to troubleshoot at least.
