Average damage, any tests done?

Has anyone done a test for exact average damage, and if so, what was the conclusion?
E.g any differences even though weapons were maxed, or any other thing that you find interesting and not linear outcome to all weapons?
I did a test long time ago but that was when damage were cut off on last shot to fit HP of the target. Might do one again unless
someone already done so.

Yeah that one is ok, but its based on what we can see from values in a DB, but do average damage really follow maximum and minimum
damage in a linear way? When I did the test I had an average of ~72% (can't remember exact value) even though weapon were maxed out.
Should also mention that I had to remove every last damage at that time, easier to see all interactions today I guess.
