I was in a similar situation to you Petley but my experience with MA was so different. Once the recognised the error, refund was put back on my credit card within 48 hours. Actually I made a few bucks with the refund due to the exchange rates!

I had similar experience, MA dealt with it fairly swiftly, but I got less money back due to exchange rates
ALWAYS check your bank account on FAILED deposits though
