Hi, this is a call for help discovering all missions, their rewards, verification of rewards, the 'natural' order of missions, mission dependencies, missing missions, etc.

Calypso Gateway
  • Can you please report which missions you are able to do/start on Calypso Gateway that aren't reported earlier? Which where not available during the one week opening of Calypso Gateway?
  • What is the reward for the mission 'Understanding Crafting'?
    The reward (used to be none) has changed after the week opening. There is now at least +1 Int for the crafting mission:

Eastern Island mission dependencies
I'm working on the new missions at the three new islands. I'm finding out what the dependencies are, but am unable to do it alone, because anyone can choose a different order in which they do the missions... and I can obviously only choose one.

I suspect before you you get "Deliver the mining info" @ research camp, you should have done the following:
1 Exploring the swamp @Odysseus -> Go to research camp @Odysseus -> Mysterious rocks @ Research camp
2 Mining on the island @Odysseus
3 I suspect Dig for energy @ Research camp
4 Perhaps not (but I did complete it before 3) Robohunter is required.

Who is willing to help?
(doing numbered lines above, 1 and 2, and then please check if Deliver the mining info is available, if not do line with number 3, check again, and again if not, do Robohunter)

Missing/unknown mission rewards
Not all missions have been completed and/or their outcome has been reported. I consider the outcome verified if there has been no discussion or accidental wrong skillposts about it and three or more different people have reported approximately the same reward for a single skill:
  • Please report the reward and skill from-to gained for Iron Dasp, Iron Cornoanterion and Silver Argo... a lot of Iron, Bronze and Silver 10K reward choices are currently known. However there is still uncertainty about the TT reward value of all choices as a lot still have not been chosen as a reward. Please report the from and to skill levels. Thank you.

NOTE: I will be using Jdegre's skillcalculator mostly (http://jdegre.net/pe/unlocker.php). After his latest improvement the TT gains we can calculate with it seem to be very accurate. I will however also use http://www.entropiawiki.com/SkillCalc.aspx for comparison.

    For Melee, relatively, the biggest nerf I've seen so far. From 3 attribs in total down to 0,35 attribs and with skills dropping to less than half without attribs and 3/4 less with attribs!!! HG and Rifle is also dramatically reduced, but not as much as melee. Definitely one to do be fore the great NERF!

Natural mission order
FPC/SDS is building a mission order is which new arrivals learn the various aspects of the game. It starts at Calypso Gateway with the 'Understanding' missions. It recently added 'Understanding the Teleporter', which presumeably links Calypso Gateway to the Calypso planet. It seems to connect those missions on the gateway to the ever first released Newbie Swamp Camp missions. So there is already a "natural" order to do the missions.
  • Please report what you see as the natural/intended order to do the missions.

So far the order seems to be:
1) Calypso Gateway Missions
2) Port Atlantis (Marina) Missions
3) Swamp Camp Missions
4) TP and city discovery Missions (Trail to the East, The long road, The shortcut, etc.)
And rest is pretty random (not linked to each other by a storyline).

  • Please report what other missions have an natural order cq are linked to each other by the storyline.

Mission dependencies

  • At the Calypso Gateway, their is a dependency between the hunting lessons and the fragments mission. You need to have the fragments mission open at best before the first hunting lesson mission. Warning: If you do it the other way around, you probably wont have ammo left to find fragments to finish that mission.
  • The Mr Book and Mr Lyndon missions clearly have a dependency on who you return to, so there is a mission branch there.

  • Please report what other missions have dependencies or what do you think the best order for a newbie is to start and do all missions.

This thread has been read by some, but no one has contributed or was not able to contribute. Too bad, because it can help out the community, us all.

Because of this post: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/...e-Gain-Issue&p=2583557&viewfull=1#post2583557 I learned there is a reward of Intelligence (presumably +1) for the crafting mission at the gateway.

A reward the 'old guard' never has been able to get, as that mission was bugged at the time we were allowed on the Gateway for one week. There might be skill reward too.
Anyone of the newbies who just come from the Gateway able to help what skillreward they get for the crafting mission?

I sincerely hope people can contribute to this thread (or other threads will be just fine), but my purpose is to get all rewards known and verified. I will update OP with rewards unknown, or not yet verified, as time permits me, because some skill and attrib rewards are still not known and the amount of a lot of skillgains have not been verified.

I reported the Armax. I used skill scanner, which uses "to-from", so it should be pretty accurate. But good luck finding someone else crazy enough to do 16.6k armax.

Because depending on which skillcalc you used, you get different results. I'm consistently using http://www.entropiawiki.com/SkillCalc.aspx, which reported on most occasions a TT gain around 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 or even 70 ped. Never around 45. :)

and yeah, armax seems to be very impopulair :laugh:

Nah, I did not write it down. I just scanned with skill scanner, then took the reward, then scanned again, and that's what skill scanner said the tt was. 45 does seem to not follow the pattern, but my IRD is not so high that skill scanner could be very innaccurate, so I don't know what to tell you.

Where exactly did you take the TT difference from?

Parts of the scanner show the TT value AFTER extraction (ESI size you receive when chipping out), and that's 90% of the actual skill gain (10% are lost when chipping out).
45 PED is exactly 90% of 50 PED (which would be an expected value, as all the other rewards were multiples of 10 PED TT), so you probably checked the wrong column...?!?

I expected that after MM, there would be a couple of posts at least that show people to have finished some Iron Missions, but I have only seen 1 person reporting finished Corns in the HOF section.

Please people, help the community by reporting and verifying the skillchoice you made for Corns, Evis, Scip and other.
And get some fame too by posting it e.g. in the HOF thread, stating skill chosen and the from-to skillpoints.

I would like to know what people (the newbies should have been there since VU 10.6.0) have experienced on Genesis.
There are quests there, althoug no rewards according to Hanne's statement:

I can confirm 10k iron daikiba mission. took rifle reward and it gave me about 10.2 - 10.3ped TT rifle skills. If you need screens i can sent them through PM. Also finished 10k iron merps and can confirm 20ped TT weapon handlings - unfortunatelly i dont have screens.
 
Updated the first post with new iron mission (Allo/Esto, Atrax, Longu, Neconu and Bronze Shinkiba) and added a lot of TT value gained claims:
* 100 TT Athletics for Bronze Atrox
* 100 TT Support for Sumima
* Approx 30 TT Handgun for Cornundacauda

Hi, as you can see in OP there is still only one Iron Mission Mob reward (feffoid) confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt (highlighted green). So we really need more people posting the approx TT reward they received when choosing a reward after finishing iron or bronze missions.

I have updated the OP with all I could find on this forum and PM's with info I received. I consider a reward confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt when there has been 3 or more posts from different persons and without big differences (disputes). I use http://www.entropiawiki.com/SkillCalc.aspx to determine the approx skill reward

The latest dispute (highlighted red) is Sumima 85 ped TT, reported by 1 person, and 100 ped reported by another for Support Weapon:

I already read somewhere else there is no Bronze LT.
 
And I got 80 PED of Athletics.

The mission hasn't changed, it's just that there weren't any Exa Elites spawning in the last migration. If there had been then I'm sure they would have counted.

Spider has now been finished, reported with chosen reward Evade... three times. A nice amount of approx 110 Evade. Dodge is probably less, Support Weapon... I've no idea. Anyone close to finishing it and choosing other reward than Evade?
