Info: Calypso Land Deed ROI tracker

compared to actual 1.37 per year at 26 ped purchase is 5.25% yield
i recall 8%+ in 2021

The so-called yield isn't much use if the sales price is down by more than that, even if you bought at less years ago!!!
Unless you only look at start and end points and say 'hey, I'm still up', which to be fair is true for all who bought at 1000 peds, or 1150 after having queued all night at Ithaca. But that is a looooong time ago now.

We can assume that it's less than 1,49 even, right? Else it would be rounded up to 2 pec with last weeks payout

nvm, brain needs coffee

Has anyone seen AndrewViperAng lately, at least in-game ?
He is the biggest CLD investor I know (millions of peds invested : he himself posted it in this forum), his last signs of activity in this forum are in 2024.

No Killah, there is no rounding up if I recall correctly. Last week may have been a whopping 1.1 and only helped a bit this week, but it's still firmly 1 payout. At some point it would be 2, yes, assuming we don't go down to 0.9 genuine for a while and eat away at any rollover. Then we'd even get a zero instead of a 2 ...

BTW, I think it's the moment to underline this problem : in the list of Deeds to be released in the future, we find Chikara + Omegaton + Genesys Star Deeds. We don't know when they will be released, but we do know their in-game Official Description :

"
Items tagged to Chikara/Omegaton/Genesys Star will generate revenue for the Company through a percentage of their deterioration.
This share comes from the Platform's existing portion of Decay, meaning it does not add any extra tax or cost for the Players "

So when MindArk release these new Deeds, "meaning it does not add any extra tax or cost for the Players" (as it is defined officially),
I reasonably expect that these new Deeds will be arranged in a way that will not negatively impact the mathematical calculation of Revenues of all other existing Deeds : otherwise it's VERY EASY to forecast how people will react ...

( Repeating again the Official Description : "it does not add any extra tax or cost for the Players" ).

Just like MA has done already in the past (TI), your investment isn't safe. Today MA says one thing, tomorrow it can be the opposite.

How anyone could consider an investment in any new or olds deeds baffles me, Mindark have shown time and time again they are not to be trusted, and will move the goalposts and change the rules to give themselves more profit.
My last withdrawal is in, I’m now running on fumes 👌🤣. Punys beware 😈.

I think I saw his BPs being sold on auction fairly recently. Maybe a few months ago.

I see your point,

meanwhile, I reasonably pointed at the problem posed by the coming of Chikara +Omegaton +Genesys Star Deeds, before it's too late, hoping that in the end Wisdom and Respect for the Players prevail :
otherwise, it could be a devastating reputational blow for MindArk, coupled -indeed- with a surely failed sale for those new Deeds ; simply put in other words, a total failure on all fronts...

Just what this game needs, more expansion!!!

Empty planets, moons, space stations, genesis probes....let's compound this disaster with empty deeds!!!

That's an interesting observation Arkadian, I recently came to a somehow similar thought :
generally speaking MindArk should strongly remember some Lessons taught by History, particularly the fact that Empires very often have fallen due to their excessive greed for more lands, more expansion, leading ultimately to inadequate administration, and an unavoidable collapse.

For all those fallen Empires, it was better to consolidate, rather than to conquer restlessly while neglecting a wise consolidation.

I am optimist anyway, and I think that MindArk will keep that historical lesson in mind.

MA have long reached a point where it is more fun to hunt for an AI's daily campsite, costing extremely little, rather than turn over peds and generate MA's (and our) rake for owning half of Caly!
We also don't know how much activity has shifted to Aris, or at least I don't.
Seeing a string of 1s as the weekly payout is pretty crap for a planet that used to be chugging along at a steady 3!

Not that I'm knocking this walkabout idea, but .... hmmm.

You are right, it seems that the "Find the girl and get a small reward" event, is reducing overall activity and turnover :
I am observing this from mob Graphs on Entropialife, at least regarding NTI and maybe Calypso ;
while this week I expected a well deserved 2 pec revenue on New Treasure Island -after a streak of some very solid NTI weeks- last 2 days on NTI were just normal, so -as result- only 1 pec revenue.

Please note that 2 weeks earlier cld paid 1pec payouts too, so it's note related to "find the girl".

yes, let's say that the "girl event" was a kind of final blow :
as result, a never seen before 3-week streak with just 1 pec revenue, on CLDs.

Possible causes for this can be:

1. When they added the new Chikara, Genesis Star, Omegaton shares to the exchange something happened behind the curtains.

2. They forgot to add the new "Umbranoids" to the CLD tax payout.

3. The addition of Aris and the recent new newbie place Setesh contributed to this. New players are cycling at Setesh and old ones on Aris, and none contributes to CLD payment.

4. Nothing of the above, MA just decided to lower payout so that when Unreal comes out the economy of the game is at an lowest point possible making it a perfect time for new players to invest.

Price of CLDT atm lowest offer: 20.91 PED.

In-deed. Those genesis probes sounds like a bad joke. We already have too many planets/moons to have reasonable amount of life everywhere.

Finally a hint that we are presumably on 1.x and not <1 as a weekly average. We also had excessive downtime that cannot have helped, but still rolled over to a payout of 2.

I find the extra stats on Nora participation helpful in that the final days had 1k players visiting her for the hand-ins and that travelling and AH were both up.
I wonder how many people travelled twice - once to find out what she wanted and then to come back a second time with the stuff, or if people found out via helpful players in chat or forums. The answer may say something about players' time off from bigger turnovers, but it's great that 1k players presumably had FUN!
I also note the CLDT price has corrected a bit from its lows, but is still low overall - more of a bounce, as they say...

Maybe Caly activity will go up when UnTropia arrives and folks want to explore their old haunts, rather than Aris or whereever it is folks have apparently gone

[I'm out of touch since the win 7 nerf sorry]
