Help: Can't post in Private subforums

Since this seems to get the attention of 711, HELP!

It's impossible to create threads in private subforums for a while now on PCF.
You have insufficient privileges to post threads here.

How do you even invite new people to private forums now?
You used to be able to apply somewhere

do you mean what used to be groups in the old forum? where are these private subforums/groups?

Private forums are different to groups. Even before the recent forum changes, it hadn't been possible to create new private forums for quite a few years, but the old ones still existed and could be used. The only private forum I am a member of is WoF Team England, which I can still access but can't make new threads in. It looks like I can still make new posts in existing threads.

The groups have been completely removed, as far as I can tell. If they can be found/recovered I would like to know about it, because I had one where I kept some info that helped me maintain the Creatures subforum.

There are some private forums for groups and societies. I have 1 for my doc and am also member of a WoF Benelux one.
