christmas gifts and deposits

I just wondered, are gifts related to deposits or to general activity ingame?

I didnt deposit but was (am) quite active on Calypso, I received one gift. I know of someone that hardly plays, but did deposit. He got two gifts. And how about you?

this is because it's my new account, last on got hacked and I played the longest with that one.. else I would also have champagne
